>there will never be a dung synth album as good as the first ever created

it hurts guys

...

i´m not even that much about the whole orchestral thing

...

>i´m not even that much about the whole orchestral thing

they are still synths, but to each their own

>Lamentation
thanks for this user, i really liked it

That's not dungeon synth, it's neoclassical darkwave.
It's like saying Dead Can Dance is dungeon synth.

of course that are still synths.
youre welcome, user

>Battle for Heaven
>Dirge of Defeat
>Shifter
>Cwn Anwnn
>Not prime examples of Dung Synth

OK

I love this album. youtube.com/watch?v=DffQVP6UqVQ

I really like the Edrstall album you posted too.

yeah i love it when the cover artwork fits the album, the fief you posted is definatly one of them, image wandering in a cave and you come across this ancient, wise creature

I get why you think it's dungeon synth because neoclassical darkwave is the closest relative to dungeon synth musically
But if you look this album up absolutely no website or user will qualify it as dungeon synth, particularly because of the focus on orchestral arrangements and ethereal female vocals

>no website or user will qualify it as dungeon synth

that's not what I just saw on rym

on RYM nobody even submitted a genre suggestion of dungeon synth and nobody in the reviews calls it dungeon synth
it's not even tagged as dungeon synth on discogs

one of my favs
hrungnir.bandcamp.com/album/vinlandic-visions
feels like travelling with a viking ship through the fjords

It's on a couple of lists as ds, and has been brought up on occasion in mortiis interviews. I will give you that it is definitely neoclassical darkwave, but to say that it has no ties whatsoever or just isn't proto-dungeon synth/ a fusion of the two, is just plain silly.

I do get that it has an emphasis on ambient soundscapes, more so than most neoclassical darkwave releases, and that may have made it an influence in the realm of dungeon synth-- but to call the album itself dungeon synth is rather disingenuous.

why are you faggots are so hellbent on destroying this genre? take a look at the DS archives channel. motherfucker posts literally any meme that is tagged with "dungeon synth".

"egypt synth", "elric" what the fuck is this shit?

if u plan on making some DUNGEON SYNTH...... WITH A TWIST then you and your family deserve to be horribly slaughtered like scum.

>but to call the album itself dungeon synth is rather disingenuous.

agree to disagree

you must be incredibly rotten individuals that you feel the need to make threads about this secret music genre. you JUST FUCKING HAVE TO keep spreading it, sharing it everywhere, making it more mainstream with each passing week. otherwise your mother will die from cancer right?

That's fine
Having an actual music discussion was pretty nice regardless of the outcome

>see a guy wearing a Mortiis shirt in public
what do, anons?

Ask him if you can go into his cigarette smoke filled basement and space out listening to Thangorodrim

>burzum
>that retro synth hype that evolved around stranger things
>one thread on an imageboard that probably gets deleted after a few hours

yeah man we´re totally destroying your super secret music genre

the fact that nobody gives a fuck about this thread on Sup Forums should be reason enough for you to not be this butthurt

Who here dungeon noise?

alderen.bandcamp.com/album/chapter-1-the-descent

nice

>Haven't seen a dungeon synth thread around here
Just wait till October and November hit.
