you just try and pick someone with a similar size, style and qualities to your opponent
its not always possible, for example there aren't really many heavyweights who are a lot like david haye but I know one of bellews sparring partners in camp has been chisora, which is good in a way because even though he isn't as quick as haye he's a big hitter
