The strings in Black Dog On My Shoulder. The entire final minute of it is beautiful too.

Ah, I love the Manics. This one's pretty fucking underrated, surprisingly enough. The older fans have a problem with the arena indie sound.

Lifeblood and EMG are also swell

>organs in After the Flood

Most of the older fans are punk wannabes who were too young to experience the original movement and thought the Manics wearing stupid clothes and makeup was the next best thing.

Don't get me wrong, I love their early stuff, but their glam punk shtick was boneheaded at best.

>that moment when this borefest is finally over

That moment when I listen to literally any second of Talk Talk's muzak.

>The "Holy sweet goddamn! You left your cello in the basement" verse of Falling For You
>Those three drum hits before Frou-Frou Foxes In Midsummer Fires explodes into a wall of lush sound
>The bassline and Danny's vocals in On The Outside
>"AND IN THE EYES OF THE JACKAL I SAY KAAAAAABOOM!"
>All of Soon.
Yes. All of it. It's the closest to perfect any song I've ever heard has come. youtube.com/watch?v=586-G4TcUxQ
