Serious question, if a soldier or politician was to out right commit treason in a country where it's fully abolished would they seriously not get death penalty, even if it was to the scale of say selling Nuclear codes?

Keep forgetting Japan has it.

what for? killing them doesn't already change anything they've done. I'd imagine if you're looking at life in prison already for your crimes the death penalty isn't going to suddenly deter you

>his country can't execute murders

Singapore desu
Prevents ppl from turning into druggies

fixed

WE

The only problem with the death penalty is that it takes too long to go through courts.

Some people just need to be killed.

usa is not first world lel

What about innocent people badly judged by the system?

Americans are incapable of feeling empathy for others than their near family

What about near family badly judged by the system?

>giving value to life of worthless criminals

Cuck tier

>brazillian doesn't care about human life
shocked and apalled

That's one innocent killed out of hundreds of thousands of criminals. Acceptable risk, especially now with things like DNA evidence.

Murders doesn't have right to live. All blood is only borrowed. Once shed, it must return.

up to 4% of people sentenced to the death penalty may have been innocent, not exactly one in hundreds of thousands is it?

/thread

can you give life as easy as you can take it away? no? then don't pass judgement so hastily

this was an underrated int meme desu

Japs have death penalty? Do they cut heads off with a catana?

this. I'd rather die via a painless lethal injection than spend the rest of my life in prison getting assraped by jamal.

they used to lol
now it's lethal injection. japs have softened, fucking USA's fault

How is murder an "ordinary crime"?

Gandalf killed a lot of people. He is no who must judge people for seeking justice they are only know.

death penalty by hanging

Well now they keep death row inmates in prison indefinitely, never telling them when their execution is until the morning of the day, so that's kinda hardcore

East Asia = China at various levels of development.

>lethal injection
>painless

>Haradrim
>people

It's not a war crime

Why do Europeans hate death penalty so much?
Don't they want to execute islam terrorists?

Unlike some cunts, our states still have some authority.

Islamic terrorists usually execute themselves

Why do japs hate life? You kill everything in sight and then yourselves

Japan has death penalty but all those fuckwits fe junko are free now???

I'm against torture and support death penalty.

It's the only sensible punishment for acts of ultimate savagery and feral criminals like murdering another person with premeditation and/or for financial gain.

Execution should be quick and humane ie. shooting squad
But I see no reason for people like that to remain a burder on society for the rest of their miserable and worthless lifes.

Traitors and other super high-risk or high-profile criminals don't go to Jamal jail. They go to ADX Florence.

the pentobarbital knocks you out before the other drugs which actually stop your heart take effect.

Because it is Inhumanely. Progressive developed multicultural countries don't kill their citizens

What if citizens are batshit insane and kill anybody for bottle of alcohol?

If by "knock you out" mean "paralyze" then yes. You're still aware.

The rest can just imprison their political dissidents or assassinate them in secret, like Russia. Or more blatantly, like Russia.

Such prisoners are mostly held in solitary confinement.

It depends on what drugs are used. There are many options for a completely painless death.

>a burder on society
The problem lies in wrongful convictions. I'd say it's more burdensome to know that I'm part of a society that murdered someone for a crime they didn't commit than it is to pay a bit more in taxes. I'm also against it philosophically, but that's just because muh Catholicism.

>shooting squad
>quick
do you know why in the past it had to be an actual squad shooting?
many people don't have it in themselves to murder a person. ye's it's murdering the criminal. so some captain (i forgot from which country) aligned the soldiers in a row so nobody would know who actually gave the fatal shot
not to mention that guns weren't precise back then so if it was a squad someone would eventually hit the executed

I applaud Russia's commitment to avoiding this barbaric practice, of course this is only expected from one of the most multicultural countries on Earth.

don't be so mean. this is so intolerant

The fact that murderers still exist is proof that the country isn't developed and progressive enough to get rid of the death penalty.

"May" ? Where are you getting that number from? And yes, even if it was true I still think that's an acceptable margin of error. Death penalty should be applied to many crimes, no reason for me to pay to keep criminals alive.

And before you use that argument that it costs more to kill them, that's just because we aren't doing it properly. People condemned to death should be executed in the days following the sentence, by a bullet in the back of the head, hanging, or the guillotine. In the central courtyard of the prison, to teach a lesson to other inmates.

no pentobarbital and sodium thipental literally render you unconscious, then the other two drugs they use to cause respiratory arrest occur while you're unconscious.

oops wrong quote. meant for if anything, shot to the back of head by a single executioner is what you're argueing for

Also proof that the death penalty doesn't work.

This is why Turks aren't allowed to vote anymore.

Potassium
Hiperkalemia causes heart to stop in diastole.

At least that's what I was told during forensic med classes.

>proof that the death penalty doesn't work.
100% of people who receive the death penalty never commit another crime

>huffington paint

Hello lelbourne

But this is so intolerant. Murdereres and rapists have their rights too.

>for a crime they didn't commit
Well I think it's obvious that I do not mean capital punishment for criminals convicted on less-than-solid evidence.

haitiANO you're on fire today

but the others do
as long as people think they can get away with murder (literally) there will be no deterrence

they have the right to regret and make amends. everyone does

how about we force them to suicide instead of killing them? if they don't suicide then it's life imprisonment until they make their minds or die naturally

>murder is an "ordinary crime" to amnesty international
left wing melts

>ADX Florence
>Inmates spend 23 hours a day locked in their cells and are escorted by a minimum of three officers for their five hours of private recreation per week.[19] Each cell has a desk, a stool, and a bed, which are almost entirely made out of poured concrete, as well as a toilet that shuts off if blocked, a shower that runs on a timer to prevent flooding, and a sink lacking a potentially dangerous tap. Rooms may also be fitted with polished steel mirrors bolted to the wall, an electric light that can be shut off only remotely, a radio, and on rare occasions, a black-and-white television that shows recreational, educational, and religious programming.[20] In addition, all cells are soundproofed to prevent prisoners from communicating with each other via Morse code.

>The 4 in (10 cm) by 4 ft (120 cm) windows are designed to prevent inmates from knowing their specific location within the complex because they can see only the sky and roof through them, making it virtually impossible to plan an escape. Inmates exercise in a concrete pit resembling an empty swimming pool, also designed to prevent them from knowing their location in the facility.[21] The pit is only large enough for a prisoner to walk 10 steps in a straight line, or 31 steps in a circle.

>In extreme cases of inmate misbehavior, the center of the prison houses an area known as "Z-Unit" or "The Black Hole," which can hold up to 148 prisoners in completely darkened and fully soundproofed cells. Each Z-Unit cell is equipped with a full set of body restraints that are built directly into the concrete bed.

Christ.
Stalin era gulag would be a fucking paradise compared to this. At least you were provided an opportunity to kill yourself or die from starvation

>Force people to carry guns
>Execute for using it

lol. Americans, everyone

>Murdereres and rapists

Is this what they call "people who disagree with Putin" in Soviet Russia?

>less-than-solid
Short of Christ Himself testifying to the accused's guilt, I won't take that risk. Even if someone confesses, I think it's wrong, as they might just be mentally ill or being compelled to give a false confession.
The only exception I make is for traitors in the battlefield, because that's not an issue of criminal law. Military justice is its own thing.

Death penalty is way more frightening and thus intimidating to criminals than life in prison.

Some retards cannot understand the concept of life imprisonment until it his them on face, but the concept of death penalty is immediate and thus make them think twice of torturing and killing people.

Death penalty saves lives, except the lives of criminals.

yeah just looked it up, they use a combination of potassium and pancuroniom

>pancuroniom
this shit again

>Death penalty is way more frightening and thus intimidating to criminals than life in prison.

Then how come the use of death penalty doesn't actually reduce the amount of murders committed?

That's how you know we're more progressive, we don't let people die from starvation.

>Stalin era gulag
was a colonization/urbanization project. instead of putting people to rot in a cell make them work to death
Stalin was smart until he lost his marbles

>Death penalty is way more frightening and thus intimidating
lol you naive being
let me guess, you'll vote for Lula too

After all you can test medecine stuff on deathers and use em as cheap laubor power as mister Josef Sralin was used to do

It's almost exclusively high-profile terrorists, gang leaders, and politicians who get sent there. The kind of people who get sent to Florence would have just been killed outright by the Soviets.

Come on, you have street kids shooting at each others over soccer matches, how can you argue that death is intimidating to the sort of people who chimp out?

That's because it's become a 30 year lawyer fiasco instead of just being executed when the sentence is handed down.

The death penalty in the US is fucking awful, it takes like 20 years for someone to finally get killed.

>The kind of people who get sent to Florence would have just been killed outright by the Soviets.
>high-profile terrorists, gang leaders, and politicians
The kind of people you just described were soviet government bub

>test medecine stuff
lol Mengele
cheap labour power disrupts the economy because it causes other workers to be dismissed. just give the money to their relatives and other humane stuff

>"at least we're better than the Soviets"
lol he still believes in this meme

>over soccer matches
it's always about drugs to be honest (desu)
people kill over money here, unlike muslims that kill over 72 virgins that don't even exist

holy shit these slimebags, especially that Hanssen bloke

Exactly. And how did they get into power? They wasted their competition.

Then how come the use of death penalty didn't actually reduce the amount of murders committed when it was handed down swiftly?

You can't reason with brainwashed americans on these issues, I don't know why I bother.

>see post by American
>be shitty, no matter the context
>lol he still believes in this meme
Read the conversation, you jerk.
Yeah, there are practical reasons why we consider it a humane treat to allow them to see even a sliver of sunlight.
>You can't reason with brainwashed americans on these issues, I don't know why I bother.
Not him, and against the death penalty. But...
>hurr durr meriga dumb
Fuck you.

With DNA evidence the margin of error for murder cases is extremely low.

I think anything with a high degree of malicious premeditation, torture, or murders of multiple people should be up for the death penalty.

At least in NC (where court battles have stopped the death penalty for a decade now) you have to majorly fucked up to be on death row and the jury has to unanimously decide it's worthy of death. If there is a single person that says no it's a life sentence and there is no re-trail for life/death.

These punks should have been executed on the spot.

Fuck YOU, you haven't provided one piece of intelligence all thread.

Wild animals don't have a right.

That last post was my first interaction with you. Can you tell the difference between my posts and posts by other Americans?
These
are mine. What's your problem with my posts, you shitty little gooch?

Because they're all dumb and apparently so are you?

yeah but you know how the law is, "innocent until proven guilty without reasonable doubt"

>dumb
That is a slur, not an argument.

Russia is shit but it doesn't mean your multicultural shit is good.

They all commit treason but don't get caught.

But it costs much more than a rehabilitated prisoner.

deathpenaltytugal

I really want our government to make death penalty desu.
