It's alive niggers! And for under $200 too.

2x HexaCore Xeons X5660
34GB DDR3 RAM
Some shitty 256mb vidia
1TB HDD

Any tips for a decent budget GPU?

ITT: Post yer beasts.

>under $200
>34GB DDR3 RAM

no

You're right, it was actually about $120, but it came with shitty E5520s, the 2 X5660s cost me another $80.

>34 GB DDR3 RAM
on a computer with no gpu and HexaCore Xeons X5660 ..?

looks like an old shitty server. cock.

850 watt power supply, 34GB of RAM... Where did you get this from OP? Genuinely
curious.

looks more like DDR2

It's an Intel server board, 1600 series I think.

That's exactly what it is

The GPU is on the list nigger, I'm not made of fucking money.

Bought it off some dude a while ago, just needed some love and better cpus.

s5520sc mobo

Serverboards dont impact preformance in any way
Nice build

Welcome!
running:
2x e5-2687w 32 threads AT 3,6 ghz
64 gb 1600 mhx dd3 in 4 of 8 channels.
2x msi gtx 960 5gb gaming in sli
14 tb storage 6x ssd

mainboard had quad sli in 4x x16 lanes!
no upgrade required yet! content with performance.

intent to try a unix centralized triple display 3 fold win10pro/unix/osx with 3 keyboard and mouse ofcourse!
hoping to stream every virtual machine to mobile and client acces point for full global hardware support. @32 threads

what are you using it for?
software goals?
build list?
OS lists?

budget 1800 EU... sourced components...

Goddamn, that's way outta my league.

ATM I'm just using it to run game servers every now and then and virtual machines to test my apps. Don't really have much use for it.
Once I get the GPU I'm hoping I could switch to it from my shitty i5 laptop.

It's running a little hot and sounds like a fucking 737 - I love it.

intel stock coolers are golden! loud but excellent.
budget is never a problem for sourced components just keep adding.
im on the asus z9pe-d8 ws deluxe workstation board by asus btw! i hope to add the remote control mkb board for remote acces of hardware. just to be sure my server is up and perfect and its the client side i need to work on. should come with remote power on and off. bluetooth keyboard and mouse for tablet is ultra def high fps shit latency gaming axxelence while keeping a stable workload ofcourse!
definitely switch from laptop!

highe dnw orkstation require a nice high end case with lots of dust covers! i got a nice corsair with dual watercooling for cpu's and shitload of silent fans. hope to source watercooled gpu's for the next run. or find some sourced blocks for the gtx960. front end dvd bay has lcd screen for looks and fancontrol :)

btw i got 2x 650 watt psu's for power with a psu doubles switch board. u can also bridge the green and black wired in order to boot 2 psu on power on.

a dual worksation with gpu's requires a lot of power. but with a 800 watt youre golden for now.

r u still here?

ITT anons spooge over their incredible tech to browse Sup Forums HTML1 and download 600k images.

Nice, I was thinking about watercooling it, but I'm trynna keep it as cheap as possible.
Not to mention the noctua cooler keeps the cpu temp well under 50°C under moderate load, the intel one while not as good still manages fine.

Fuck I might need a 3rd CPU to do all that.

how did you use all cores simultaneously.
maybe we are a generation apart...

my 32 thread play mp3 @ 11% cpu on 1 or 2 cores. but plays rise of the tomb raider max settings with ultrahaird and hd vr on 6% cpu usage....

Post links to your builds parts faggot.

oh boiiiiiiiiiii think about VR HENTAI PORN DUDEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

google is your friend
mine:
asus z9pe d8-ws
msi gtx 960 4gb gaming
xeon e5-2687w

and other parts.

It was a synthetic stress test, real world utilization is all over the place.

Faggot can't you read?

My. God. Yas!

I would go for a 750ti, a gt 1030, or a rx550

I was thinking about a 1050ti, it's only like what, $40-$50 more than the 750ti? And it'll last for a bit longer too.

could be cus its a server motherboard you fucking tool
