UP has a more punky, raw vibe to it while closer is more polished, goth sounding. The second half of closer is suicide inducing, really the most depressive shit ever recorder while closer has a less tight tracklist. Both are really different. UP is the album you listen while driving through the city feeling alienated and hollow, while closer is the album you listen when you get home in the sunless cold morning before killing yourself
