Where were you when the american education system fell to pieces?

where were you when the american education system fell to pieces?

I don't want to raise children anymore. It's for their own good

I wasn't born yet

Our educational system has become memes, a fitting end to a bad joke.

Post
Private schools are the future

These are just fun ways for teacher to help teach the current generation about history. I don't see a problem.

LMFAO THIS IS FROM MY BORTHERS PRIVATE SCHOOL

i was up all night doing my meme homework
memerithmetic is hard

The study of war in schools is flawed. We talk only about social elements of war typically the black and female roles in the homefront or the few segregated units. We've been away from war too long that most people are unable to recognize the true horror soldiers went through. Projects like OP's pic reveal the numbness people have to suffering.

>Vietnam memes.
Tbh. How about we help kids with their homework with this shit. So they stick around and get repilled

SOME FOLKS ARE BORN

thank god this isnt my fucking project, id had gouged my eyes out already, this is my brothers senior project...

MADE TO WAVE THE FLAG

>it ain't me
>America won Vietnam
>that Army Dog movie
bam 3 whole memes, where's my meme scholarship?

The tweet, sure.

But asking him/her to create a "meme"?
That's not alright, and it doesn't really make sense. As far as I know, the word "meme" as the teacher means it, since it's impossible to singlehandedly create an instance of its actual meaning, is a picture of something like 9/11 downloaded from Sup Forums with non-mainstream, edgy content and usually the word "nigger" or "suicide" for good measure.

Not ok to ask this of students.

Nor is it ok to demand students to visit a website crawling with porn like Sup Forums or plebbit. This is relying on the student already somehow knowing what a "meme" is under the assumption they've already visited these kinds of sites. Same kind of thing when a teacher requires students to make a Facebook and add each other on it for school. Not appropriate.

Not existing (it fell to pieces in 1980 after the establishment of the Department of Education)

>i dont see a problem trying to desensitize kids to one of the most brutal wars of fucking known history by making TWEETS AND HASHTAGS XDD
>make a meme about vietnam
>meme in this case is literally IMPACT FONT ON IMAGE which would end up boiling down to some yuppie war is bad peace only #communismisntbad message
>indoctrination by having kids make common pepes and fucking instagram images of people who likely died from disease or cold

What the fuck is wrong with Americans?

when I experienced it

fuck all that fucking homework right in the ass.

i just went to school for 8-9 hours, and now I have to do 30min-1hr30min of schoolwork at home? fuck that

You guys are cucked

well, on one hand, we are probably gonna get into a major war. If they can make some pepes and wojacks of these dead gooks. It might desensetize them. The less sensitive they are the easier it will be to pull the trigger on sandniggers.

...

Put an image of those prostitutes from Full Metal Jacket.

Write
>Liberal Millennial School Teacher Likens Vietnam War to Friendly Internet "Memes" in Class
>Tens of Thousands of Slanty-Eyed Mothers Raped As Set-Up To The Epic Meme XDDDDDDD LEL ASIANS

That should do it.

It doesn't swear. It doesn't personally attack the teacher. It does exactly what the assignment said to do, and contains no nudity or anything.

Would I get in trouble if, for that assignment, I brought in something like that?

Common Core

The reality of war would offend them. And since there's no bigger crime than offending someone, you'd probably be expelled

Wouldn't I have ANY guaranteed, not subjective, rights as a student though?

I have not personally called anyone out, so there's no slander, and I haven't brought nudity or swearing or anything offensive into the school. And "lel" is a made up word.

The "slanty-eyed" is over the edge, sure, but barring that, it's a fact that, although only slightly exaggerated, is true.

I know you're actually right though, not sure why I'm trying.

so you like light or heavy boards?

I literally do more than 8 hours of out of class work a day you fucking soft faggot.

I'll bet the teacher who gave out this assignment got the idea from reddit on how to connect to the kids

>Picture of dead women and children from My Lai

>#Take Me Back!

>Picture of VC getting shot in the side of the head

>#Missing This One!

>Picture Of napalm girl running screaming down the street

>#No Filter

Alternately just mock up some pic related with Vietnam pics related to the people the teacher is asking about.

as a student i honestly can not do any of these social media things un-ironically

they are taking the joy out of memeing. it's like and educational game; it's not really fun

u've got to be some sheltered fuck to not know what a meme is if ur in highschool
also remember that normie memes are like 9gag ifunny and vine cancer, such as dat boi or damn daniel
even then i just find making students do this is really cringy

>this little kiddie doesn't understand the atrocities of war
>let's make it fun ;) ;) ;)

>make it easier to kill oilniggers when they try to promote mudslimes being part of the religion of peace

>be sure to include #TRENCH FOOT!

>wow life is really hard in these trenches!!!11 #thestruggleisreal #trenchfoot #disease

OH, THAT RED, WHITE, AND BLUE

>Wouldn't I have ANY guaranteed, not subjective, rights as a student though?

No, none whatsoever.

>When you finally catch that rat you've had your eye on so you and your buddies can eat for the first time this week #TrenchLife #LolSupplyLines

>When your buddy finishes with the Viet girl and you know your turn is next #LoveMeLongTime #SheHasKids

On second thought this is fun OP.

>When she's like 8 years old but it's ok cause she needs to buy food for her family #SpoilsOfWar #WhenInRome

>picture of the vietnamese monk on fire
>shop in a unicycle
here comes dat monk!

>Rat-au-van.
Baldrick, is that you?

Oh here's a more historically accurate one too OP:

>When you kill yourself the night before to try and escape the draft

#CrazyWeekends
#YOLO

I should be a teacher. I'm better at this than I thought.

>When the Germans already surrendered but you keep killing them anyway. #FirstToBerlin #TightGermanPuss

>When you use your guns on the boys but your hands for the girls #TasteMyVietDong

Lel, keep going, these are pretty good.

Creating a meme is a whole lot of work and she asks each student to make three? Is she fucking insane? I don't think he/she/it understands imageboard culture at all. Unless it means those shitty picture macros from the past.

American education system is really something, fucking Christ. If you are any man at all, call that dumbfuck teacher out for the retard it is. Here's a very modern Vietnam help helper pepe. You're welcome, two left.

>when you tryin' to tap that 8year old ass but your gear too heavy
#justvietnamthings

I teach high school history and to be honest this really bothers me. I think the idea of potentially trivializing the sacrifice of thousands of people into a meme (which only ever spoofs ideas) is teaching kids that the war was something to make light of.

I know plenty of teachers who do the (now classic) Declaration of Independence breakup letter or Founding Fathers Facebook, but this is a little overboard. My students just got a rigorous research paper as their final and they would know I'd lost it if they got a fucking meme as their final project.

Here's another.

>Crawling through the grass I'm coming to shank that ass

#ProneWithMyBros
#CutThroatKilla
#TrenchWarfare

Lel :-D

Also, #squad_goals should fit something

>pretends to be upset

Nice try, Skeeter.

Heh

Thanks user, I was hoping somebody would post this response.

macros, user. they want the kids to make image macros.

normies still call them memes.

Is this what being triggered feels like?

Yeah, but with a private school, your parents could always enroll your brother in another private school that doesn't teach with memes. And the parents of the children in private school have more leverage over the school since they are paying them for a product.

You can't do this with public schools.

history itself is a meme, why not just called them image macros
