Is boston the best sport city in america even the world?
>only one of those """""sports""""" is played outside the USA
Does Boston have the worst fans in the world?
4 out of those 5 are Olympic sports.
literally amateur sports done for free
>We're dogshit in all but one of these sports therefore none of those sports matter!
Baseball? Of wait, I forgot Europe likes to pretend that Europe and North America are the only two continents.
New York.
In america yes
>baseball
>hockey
>basketball
>soccer
>even football is played in canada and russia
probably the dumbest comment of all time
They had a good new millennium, but the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots were pretty irrelevant until then. Championship droughts for 40~, 86 and 30 years respectively.
Though since 2000 they've probably had the best teams as a city (10 championships) with the other competitor being LA (7) who didn't have an NFL team.
I should mention that I left off MLS teams, which would give LA 5 more and Boston none.
>not knowing of bobby orr
plus sox were relevant they made it far they just couldn't close
>not even the best at the sport his country created
All Boston fans, and, for that matter, all people from Boston are assholes.Seriously, a bunch of alcoholic, insecure, inferiority-complex, crypto-racist, self-styled "blue collar", self-regarding "underdog" morons. What they lack in brains, creativity or numbers they more than make up for in volume and insanely blind allegiance to the most overrated small market in sports. If New York or, to a lesser extent, Los Angeles were wiped off the face of the map, what would Boston fans do? They would have no earthly reason to go on, as they thrive on the antipathy they feel toward their perceived betters. If Boston suddenly disappeared, NYC and LA would still have plenty to work on. The "rivalries" that Boston fans have fostered have always had a passion gap, because they've always meant more to the Bostonians then they did to anybody else. Sort of like a drunk short guy in a bar picking fights with anybody over 6'2".And furthermore, Boston is actually kind of a shitty town after you've seen all the historical relics/ruins from way back when it was a relevant city. For my money, it's a poor man's Philadelphia, and it's tough to stomach either of those places after you've spent any real time in New York. Not to malign New England. Beautiful part of the country. But Boston, specifically, blows.
How many athletes are born, raised, or attend college in Boston?
>not knowing how pro sports work
Holy shit you're mad. Since when is a six state region a small market?
Is this pasta
>is boston the best sport city in america even the world
Nay, nay, lad boston IS THE BEST CITY IN THE WORLD, sports are just one of the many things Boston is best at. In addition Boston has the best universities, hospitals, architecture, history, and food.
...
>Angels
>Rams
>Lakers
>Kings

Most titles, best sports city.
Is there a team called "the los angeles angels"? Damn, Americans are dumb
This
You also forgot the Doyers and the LA Raiders superb owl in the 80s
Boston can eat a fat pile of baby dicks.
They were the Anaheim Angels originally.
>teams move to different cities
Damn, Americans are disgusting
en.wikipedia.org
Granted, they don´t really play in LA proper, but they ARE the LA Angels (of Anaheim)
It stayed in Anaheim, they just renamed them to market the brand in LA.
>selling a team like it was a brand
It's just a fucking game, why do Americans care about profit so much
Maybe because sports are about money? Who knew.
>sports are about money
Not the main purpose, at least not ouside of the USA
Yes it is.
No, it's not
Most teams in the world are non-profit organisations. Of course money is involved, but they money they earn goes to the club, to buy better players or get a better stadium
Money going tot he owner's pocket is just an American thing, in the rest of the world the supporters vote for a president and he manages the club. He works on a salary, he doesn't get the club profit
Yeah in america we dont care about communist sports like soccer
Los Angeles is the biggest and best sports city in the world
But my nigger, American sports are more communist than any other leagues
>there is no money involved in players trades
>the worst team of the season gets awarded with the first pick of the draft
>teams can't buy players, they can only adquire new athletes from drafts
>salary caps
>"English" team owned by a Russian oligarch playing on a stadium named after Arab airlines buys a Portuguese players for 100 million so he can play for a Spanish coach making millions a year in a jersey with a Dutch electronics company logo on it that will sell well in China and Japan and extremely increase club income
>"but only Americans care about profit tho"
>mfw
I said most teams, not all of them
Also, these English clubs with foreign owners aren't much different from real clubs. The owners are already rich as fuck and want to make the team they support good again, even putting their own money on the club
In the USA is quite the opposite, people buy teams as an investment
>teams can't buy players
Actually they can, they just usually don't do it. They can even buy coaches but the last time that happened was in 2002 when Tampa Bay bought Gruden from Oakland.
>no you can't compare top level American leagues to top level European leagues
>you have to compare top level American leagues to some shitty volunteer YMCA teams in my local villa
What are you talking about? I'm talking about the best clubs, they are managed like social clubs
Real Madrid, the objectivelly most successful football club in histoy isn't just a soccer team, they are a social club, with members and they vote for the president. When you are a member of that club you get tickets to the soccer games but also to the basketball games of that club and you can use the pool, etc. Literally like any other social club
The equivalent of "president" in the NFL is the general manager, they are appointed, they don't own the team. Equivalent of that Real Madrid shit would be the Green Bay Packers which are owned by a non-profit with over 5 million members.
No, the president has a similar role than the owner in American sports, they don't pick the players, they manage the club/franchise stuff like picking the staff and the television rights, setting the tickets prices, etc
Football clubs have a "sports manager" or just a manager that is charge of the sport stuff, just like the GM on an American team
American teams do have presidents you dumbasses.
But they serve no purpose, both the owner and GM have a bigger role in the team administration
Just chek that president doesn't even have a wiki enter lol

>Dennis Lauscha, who was named president of the Saints in 2012, oversees the club’s financial operations, government affairs, its marketing, ticket and suite sales, legal, stadium, community affairs, human resources, information technology and facilities departments.
Fuck off.
Remember when it was the Boston patriots and they were shit so you sold them now they're good
>my Boston patriots
Stfu they're not a Boston team anymore you had you're chance and you sold then like your a Irish whore mom
it is now
>everyone in New England except people in Boston can be fans of the Patriots
full retard
>counting asia africa and s america
Might as well count antarctica if you count those landfills
In the world yes
Lol
LA Rams have never won anything faggot
