>Mexico City
Toronto was bad enough, this is just cancer

But Colin Cowherd said there should be fewer teams.

>seriously considering Louisville in the current year

Even Mexico looks good in comparison

>not wanting free wins and more memes

>7 foot black millionaires walking around Mexico City

Not going to fucking happen

Talent is already pretty diluted, do you really want two more shitty teams

Bring the sonics back

Seattle's a no brainer, Las Vegas is the hot city of the now.

>lacking enough talent to make a competitive league
>add more teams

Wew lad

They would be a lock if the city council stopped being dicks to the group trying to build a new arena

>talent pool going to be even more diluted

nah but seriously Seattle is an easy choice if you have to have one.

Also I honestly think Boston could support two teams better than a lot of places can support one.

It would be kind of cool tho, the only problem is that they would want to have a Mexican players to raise popularity here. Too bad we are mostly manlets

they're not gonna walk around they'll be escorted by gigantic armed security from the team bus to the 5 star hotel and back

There is literally more physical talent in the league than ever before. A lot of it is just misused and underdeveloped because coaching is so poor

If there is a Mexico City team, players and their families are going to have to live there. The Players Association will never allow this.

The only way to counter dilution and parity is to add so many teams that by having just 1 legitimate all star or hall of famer will turn your team into a dynasty. Like with the NFL.

u cant seriously consider expansion until you first solve

-tanking for draft picks
-players taking pay cuts to form superteams

Mexico City is mostly fine desu, as any big city it has his bad places and the rich dudes places

>Mexico City

Guys, they really didn't think this suggestion through, did they?

I have to assume there are plenty of closed complexes there for rich fucks to live in

>expanding when teams like the 76ers need to be contracted

baka desu

>league already has multiple teams tanking
>add another new team which will 100% be terrible for first few years

Never gonna happen cucks.

There are, but they aren't going to want to be stuck in a complex and not be able to move about in public freely.

Dudes, Mexico City is fine, crimes rates are lower than most US cities. Is the province Mexico the one that it's a ultery shithole

Everything. I repeat everything should be privatized. I work for the city of Toronto and can tell you that 90% of the people I work with are incompetent in every way shape and form.

I don't doubt that places like Detroit and Chicago are absolute shitholes that are more dangerous for the average person to walk around in. That's not the point, NBA players and their families are walking million dollar ransoms and would stick out like a sore thumb in Mexico. Players will never allow this move to happen as long as kidnapping is still a thing.

there is nothing i want more than for immediate expansion into mexico city, with the team getting super lucky in the draft and winning the finals and going to the white house.

Nah, believe me, there are a lot of zones that have literally thousands of billionares and no one gives a fuck, because crime don't tend to mess whit them because there is the risk that you are rich because you are in drugs, and those are some folks you don't want to assault.
Kidnapping was a thing some years ago, but is a lot more peaceful lately, and even then, Mexico City was the less affected place

yeah but burgers dont get it, there are many millionaries and some billionaries living in CDMX and they dont give a fuck about shit like kidnapping

Honolulu and Anchorage

>thousands of billionaires

U$D or Peso?

>Mexico City
literally why would any rich NBA player in their right mind would even decide to live there?

USD, there is two kinds of mexicans, the poor that works with wages lower than the average American and the rich that has way more money than your average Rich American

They wouldnt. They would most likely live, train, and practice in San Diego and fly down just for games there

Yeah and the ones who are poor as fuck make up 99% of your nation. You have no middle class. Sure you have some very wealthy people but that's every 3rd world nation.

I'm not sure what he's talking about. Mexico has only 16 Ameridollar billionaires. I don't know what he means by "thousands"

If you think Mexico is 3rd world, you are sorely mistaken.
Quality of life-wise, it is closer to Eastern Europe.

Yeah, 99%, no, that's Sup Forums. Middle class exist but it is way less wealthy that the US Middle class.
What I want to say is yes, your ghetto now-i'm-millionare 2 meters black dudes will be fine. Maybe a little bored if they don't learn spanish tho

coaching is fine

basketball is just a meme sport

>Quality of life-wise, it is closer to Eastern Europe.
>Eastern Europe

What's funny? I'm just stating the truth. Mexico is not first world, but it is not third world.

90% of people out there are worthless and incompetent, including you.

sorry user

VANCOUVER

it didn't work once, so why it would work now?

>Nah, believe me, there are a lot of zones that have literally thousands of billionares and no one gives a fuck

Nigga, Mexico has 14 billionaires in the whole fucking country...

forbes.com/sites/katiesola/2016/03/08/the-25-countries-with-the-most-billionaires/#389939134e53

It didn't work out because if retarded owners.

Imagine Lamar Odom in Mexico City...

>and they thought stern was bad

Eastern Europe is a shit hole hes saying.
Which it is.

>People complaining about Mexico City when half the guys are gonna end up spending 5 years playing in even worse cities than Mexico

I'd trust Mexico over most cities in China and Eastern Europe

a couple of eastern european countries are in the top 40 living standards. Depends what you consider a shithole

>bragging about top 40

In Rugby League, players can't take pay cuts. You get paid either on market value or on just potential value, this way you can't create superteams due to salary cap. NBA should do the same.

plenty of incompetence in the private sector

it's a human problem, not a public or private problem

out of 190 it's pretty good

"no"

it is though

Why do gringos feel like they need to push their shit tier sports on us?

Also

>willingly wanting to move to el DF

God I hate this sjw kike

>Wanting to get beheaded

maybe a max contract would entice a player. I'm not sure how taxes would work

Holy shit, can you look and act any more jewish than Adam Silver? I have to kek all the time about how much of a cliché he is.

What's wrong with Mexico getting a team? If mapleniggers can have 1 then so can tacopoors

>zero jewish players
>commissioner is always a jew
>many owners are jews

Damn, the 6 gorillion meme pays off. How do we proceed?

>players living in the city they play for
Naw. You only need to rent a hotel with a teammate during the season and then go back to hometown during the offseason.

It is too hard to determine market value since too many players are overvalued. Simply passing on these overrated players in enough to make the playoffs every year in the NBA.

>Eastern Europe
>1st world

It solves the superteam problem though. In no way would the Heatles or the current Warriors squad exist if the market value rule was in place.

No. Toronto is for all intents and purposes another American city.

>Quality of life-wise, it is closer to Eastern Europe.
when did Eastern Europe become a model of high QOL? unless you're talking about the Czech republic...

No it doesn't. NBA has super teams because 1 player can make a huge difference in a team because only 5 play at once. You can't determine market value for an NBA player. Whatever system you use will fuck over a bunch of teams because it'll overrate some chuckers.

If Gordon Hayward was black what would people think of him?

>NBA has super teams because 1 player can make a huge difference in a team because only 5 play at once
I think we have different opinions on what makes a superteam. In my opinion, the Heatles, the current Golden State team and the current Cavs teams have been the only superteams over the last 10 years.

>You can't determine market value for an NBA player
Its not so much market value in the league but more of an integrity value put on players. Maybe not a market value rule but maybe have another integrity unit focused on contracts and player value.

>put ads on uniforms
Literally soccer tier trash

They're gonna do Seattle, Vancouver, Louisville, and St. Louis

Allstar every year and people would actually respect his athleticism.

youtube.com/watch?v=KC47GHE18ug

nashville the arena is already in place why the heck not.

this desu

youtube.com/watch?v=AjzQd0fY3Wo

Spain has the second biggest basketball league in the world and they're a third world spanish speaking shithole. Why can't mexico have an elite basketball team.

Because they are filled with mexicans

>Add 2 teams
>Create promotion/relegation system
>Alter draft to give favor to first division teams

You could never do the buying and selling players though... too much of a history there.

No one likes basketball enough to follow a lower league that isn't college.

People go to games featuring two bottom feeders. Anyway it'll give people who are on shit teams reason to care about the season.

Suddenly the Pelicans are coasting to promotion while getting their act together as opposed to looking like a trash fire.

You could still have playoff type tournaments during the season like the FA Cup, but make sure every team plays the other.

They should choose LA. They need another team.

Buffalo

So how does this work? Do players just start making a ton less money after relegation to make up for the huge loss in revenue? What self respecting Jew would agree to this scheme?

the grizzlies exist

>two teams that sell out every game
>every ticket resold online for 2-3 times the price
>still every seat filled every game
>has sports network already broadcasting all OC teams that has no basketball broadcast
>OC Hates LA and would totally go with it to an extent, especially since the Lakers are losing their luster fast
>Already a quality stadium built

It actually makes the most business sense

>how could people cheer a second team when the first is the Celtics ?

I guarantee you they won't do this.
for some reason they like to bait MExico with promises but never deliver.

richmond va

pls

Las Vegas

Just bring back Seattle, and Vancouver

I would love living in Mexico City if I were rich. Anyone who says otherwise is ignorant. Just wiki it and scroll down the page. Excellent food, world-class museums, surrounded by natural beauty of mountains, hub of business activity and culture. It's easily nicer than half the cities in the NBA.

OKC, CLE, MEM, MIL, DET, IND, CHA, ATL, ORL, NO, HOU, DAL, SA, SAC, PHX, UTA,

Which of those is nicer than Mexico City?

>the city of utah

spurs game thread

Why not St. Louis?

you dont have to be rich to live in mexico city bro... unless you will only do it trying to live like Mirrey.

I love it myself, but it is far from perfect. Serious pollution issues that kill i believe tens thousands a year would be the big one.

I'd be ok with this if they moved the Clippers back to San Diego

Ballmer would never do that though
