im having stabbing pains in the right side of my head on and off. any medfags care to help me out? i dont know whats causing it

Its a headache you fucking moron.
Take a Ibuprofen and quit bitching

First, check to see if anybody is stabbing you

does the pain respond to painkillers or is it stubborn?

Whats your age?
How many hours have you been awake?
Taken any medications/recreational drugs in the last 48hrs?
Are you overweight?
Are you dealing with any overly stressful situation in your life atm?

Also, experiencing any visual problems?
Difficulty moving normally?
Confusion or trouble speaking?

Get off Sup Forums, and get to the hospital.

Do you have a tooth ache?

I get it a lot; you'll be fine.

its stubborn, i took like six advil to no effect

that too

i was scared shitless thinking i might have a brain tumor because i started getting headaches randomly, what i didnt realize was that it was because i had a shitty filling done. and the stress from it wasnt helping either

Have you been shot in the head recently? Like in the last half hour? Better go check in the mirror just to be safe.

Acute migraine, take ibuprofen, take out contacts if you have any, turn off lights and close blinds, turn off any noises you can, and try to sleep. Good luck

no
no, not really just school

the pain is just blinding like nothing else matters besides the pain (edgy)

yeah some random fucker woke me up from my mail route and his heads upside down

thanks

It's Cluster Headaches. Elinimate MSG from your diet.

If you wake up, drink water but not too quickly. Might feel like throwing up and it'll help, but it's better for you if you don't have to. Don't shake your head either, and get off your phone right now lol

talk to a doctor about it. Head pain could be a number of things.

There's also migraine medicine available if you talk to your doc that helps reduce them, but you don't really need it if they aren't recurring often

A giant earwig has laid eggs in your brain.

What are you a nurse or something?

Google Trigeminal Neuralgia. Get some Carbamazepine, which is an AED.

Nothing there that's a red flag but sudden onset headaches are classified a medical emergency. Is there anyone in the house with you that you can make aware and also discuss this with?
You probably don't need any treatment BUT be best if someone is aware and keeps an eye on you.

Biggest things to look out for
> light sensitivity
> slurred speech
> confusion
> facial droop
> difficulty moving

Yes. I identify as a nurse or something.

nurse-user is god-tier helpful

Actually I'm a medical student.

Love those numbers. They mean you will do well.
