can anyone suggest death metal (and/or technical death metal) bands that are heavy, but not too violent in their lyrical content? Have been listening to Gojira and Mastodon, trying to get into Meshuggah, but also trying to get into death metal more broadly
I've listened to Symbolic by Death (pic related) due to recommendation of Fantano, and I liked that, but I've seen Cannibal Corpse recommended and they seem a bit over the top -- I want to get angry, but not quite "raping people with knives" angry

Check out Opeth, stuff like Deliverance and Watershed is pretty good, similar to later Gojira stuff.
Also check out pic related (Bloodbath - Nightmares Made Flesh), the lyrics are pretty over the top but its still nice to listen to.
