I just never had that Yunarmiya experience when I was a kid.
I don't know about your draft system,here it's mandatory to serve a year in the military. And I think that nothing is wrong with being drafted,you spend just a year,but you get a nice physical assesment of your actual abilities,you get to know your way around different firearms,if you have a specialised education,you will most likely be assigned according to that education. It kinda sucks to lose a year,and the conditions are often far from perfect,but the pro outweighs the cons,at least for me.

At least not as a part of a school cirriculum,my grandfather was a military man,so I knew my way around an AK by the time I was 15,and I'm honestly happy that children are given the opportunity to join such an organisation now. There are a lot of small patriotic clubs now,and all this is is an acknowledgement by the government that the public demands it.
