Pretty sure that French is more powerful than British

May as well put a US flag. On those since it's all of our tech

>2 out of 8
>all

>more powerful than the combined EU forces
Our tech and training is great, we just need a government to beef up our numbers in real terms.
Navy in particular.

British ships look like the faces of British women. I like the other vehicles though

How many Ireland's have recently begged France to defend it?

Oh 0?

Oh France must not be so great afterall.

When did ireland beg uk for this? To defend them against who?
Give me a link please.

It's true that both the UK and France are the only two relevant armed forces in Europe, both having their own strengths and weaknesses, but combing everything Britain is overall stronger.

Not since all the budget cuts, 20 years ago though...

Russia flew planes over their airspace and they pooed themselves because they still have progressed past bi-planes.

Not really, you two only like war more than the others in Europe

You do know that BAE helped design the F-35, right?

*blocks your path*

no wonder they are a shithole

>our

Also 15% approx of the plane is British made

As well as Britain having full access to the entire source code for the computer, giving the UK complete sovereignty over the plane. Unlike every other country which will buy it.

Not that I want a British military thread, but rather a military thread.

Anyway, news on the British shipbuilding:
>contract for a barge to move the Type 31 construction blocks has been put out to tender (dates are rather revealing of the Type 31 timescale)
>QE flight trials / arrival in Portsmouth have been pushed back to the autumn

That claims rather disputed as I'm yet to see a source to indicate this.

THAI LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD

>>QE flight trials / arrival in Portsmouth have been pushed back to the autumn

Because sea trials were pushed back to this summer. Small delays such as these are normal for a complex build like this, as the QE-class carriers are more or less prototypes with a lot of new technology.

I know, but they've been pushed back further. Though overall the project is ahead of schedule.

There was an agreement signed in 2006.

reuters.com/article/britain-jsf-idUSL1278309720061212

>Britain had been pushing for the Pentagon to ease technology transfer rules and grant access to source codes needed to upgrade the plane's computer software. Asked if source codes were part of the technology transfers, Drayson said they were.

nice doggo

Well, cheers for clearing that up.

Though there have been more recent reports that the US won't give the source code to any partner. Though what was signed in 2006 is still the official position. Wait and see.

We've got the weapon testing and integration in the software blocks, so we haven't needed it so far. God bless Team Complex Weapon.

/thread

a fucking ramp

Don't mock the ramp, as if the USMC had their way they'd fit one as well.

W-we a ship too :3

Yes you do and she's very pretty.

S-sorry I forgot the verb
(*/ω\)

T-thank you mighty UK :3

And you've got a new carrier on the way! Can't wait to see what it looks like.

Cool.

>that ramp
Impressive, simply impressive

Ramp costs about £30m.

>will be destroyed by Russians in 2 hours, as British Defense Ministry said
impressive

Buying a pile of shit for £30m doesn't make it worth £30m.

this really gets the the britbong

Ouch

the only great thing about you guys is the fucking SAS mate
how i would love to join it if i could
everything else, Meh (talking of personnel)

why do they do this dickery?
fucking burgers

WTF did they make it from? pound sterling pennies?

how much Uma Sopa cost?

>t. ramplet

Rude.

No, the proble cost from it is from mostly the design and labour costs. Not the actual steal.

>proble
*probably most of the cost comes from design and labour costs

If they leave the EE might as well make them the 51st state

They aren't much more powerful than France, Greece, Spain or Germany. The difference is marginal.

Also, who is helping out the baltics?
