For movies I'd suggest The Road because its the single most accurate post apocalyptic movie ever, also a Boy And His Dog are fantastic too, Fallout took allot from it without credit
Games I'd suggest the old Wasteland games, you could probably find em online for free they're that old.
Also don't know if reading is your thing but the Metro 2033 series is 10/10

Yeah I've seen those movies. Road was so depressing but great. Boy and his dog was hialrious and weird af. The ending where he asks the dog where the girl went.. lol!
I've got a ps4 reboot of wasteland somehwere, might fire it up as I've beaten all the modern Fallouts. Tried the Mad max game but it's shit, just a car game in Uganda.
I also like sci fi movies, there's an Australian movie but I can't remember the name where he's the last man on earth or so he thinks. A blip froma bit of technology removed all life from earth, but those who dies at the exact same time remained. was great and had a fucked up ending.

I liked automata too, modern sci fi, blade runner esque rotten world style.
And the movie the survivalist. That was great
seen of all those but damnantion alley. Might check that out tonight.

The book of The Road is horrifying, its so damn bleak and there's a part in it that was so bad they didn't even put it in the movie, like it was filmed but the Director was like "Nah I can't". I watched another Apocalypse film around when I watched a Boy and His Dog about a bunch of astronauts in a space station watch earth get nuked and then when the time comes their station floats back to earth the place is full of cannibals and warlords, I'll try get the name.
Fallout New Vegas is the only decent one and I've finished all the others, Tactics was gr8 as well. I loved the Mad Max game cos I'm a fanboy but it is just Australian Attempts To Go To The Store simulator.
I think I know that movie, lemme try find it. Night Of The Comet is a pretty good 80s dark comedy kind of post apocalyptic movie, its worth a watch.
I'm not the biggest fan of zombies and all that bullshit, but yeah 28 days later was superb. and they weren't zombies, virus out breaks are cool.
Also, is anyone else secretly wanting a global catastrophe, even though your life is fine and dandy? Those fat lil chincs in N. Korea are the best bet beyond gay weather rape.
And my thoughts on starting the world anew was to kill the power. Total world blackout. No tech, total chaos. Then a disease to wipe out a large portion of people and obviously us badass neckbeards roaming the wastes to find some twinkies and poon.

Extinction was good also, about a guy and his daighter, living next door to a drunk ina snow ruined world where no one else lives. Apart from a viral thing that has made things evolve. like a surivival mosnter post ap movie. Really enjoyed it.
The quiet earth! remembered it! very cool, watch to the end it's jaw dropping.
And it has the fun usual guy alone in th world walking around in a wedding dress with a shotgun ina s tolen mansion lol.
Found it, its called Def Con 4, so worth watching.
Man I couldn't believe it when I read it, then again I watched The Road and swore I wouldn't again, its too depressing.

Fuck, posted too early, Vincent Price stared in a black and white version of I Am Legend based off the book called Last Man On Earth, him being the only actual human has him doing allot of narration on survival and coping being alone, its on YouTube and it's in my top 3 films.

I find there are too many americans/guns in modern post apocalyptic movies. Kind of ruins the idea of destruction and helplessness if every single eprson in it has military grade weaponry lol.
Like that silly series with aliens called falling skies. I enjoyed it but ffs.. too many guns.

Althought I don't likezombie/vampire etc movies and series' I did like that netflix one called Helsing. It was poorly named and thus got bad rep but the series was a good one and pretty cool. Had some cliched vampire scenes with odl goths and shit but was cool.
I watched one recently about a bus going through a solar flare ridden sand dune to deliver passengers. Cannot remember the name buit it was cool. All dusty and fucked up with interesting characters.

Well, let's put this into perspective. In the US there are 300,000,000 firearms among the civilian population, and those are just the ones we know about. I wouldn't be surprised if it were closer to 350-400 million. That's one gun for each person in the states. Now, think about how many guns there still are at gun shops, gun distributors, gun manufacturers, police departments, sheriff departments, state police barracks, National Guard depots, Military bases, etc. Just in my house I have about two dozen various firearms, and anywhere between 500-1000 rounds of ammo for each of those guns. I could arm a small militia. Granted that ammo would run out eventually, but there is also the ability to reload that ammo and reuse it. So, depending on how far into the future you're talking it's not that far fetched for there to be a lot of guns.
