/biathlon/ aka Chicks with Guns

Today starts the Biathlon weekend in finnish Kontilahti. Besides a higher density of memes the competition in Binland promises a major increase in quality comparing to the dead stands of Pyongyang. Why is this? Well, it's based on multiple aspects.

One of the fewer is the fact that this years schedule comes slowly to an end. Thus, the fights for the top-positioning will also gain a lot more intensity and drama. On top of that – and looking hereby on the main event, the ladies' race – it's a home game for Kontiolahtis most prominent step-daughter and leader in the Sprint discipline Kaisa Mäkäräinen. After a long winning streak of """German""" Laura Dahlmeier the sports barometer now predicts high pressure on the emotional Rookie from the way more mature and experienced routinier which hopefully results in the Hampster finally getting dragged down into Kaisa's dungeon and raped hard.

And now the biggest surprise: Norgay getting straight again and supposedly starting to get their shit back on track with the first start in this year's Cup by former non-chocking #1 after Tora's retirement, Synnöve Solemdal. The two-times winner is coming back after long absence due to long term struggling with her form. Unfortunetly Synnove did not manage to recover as well as Darya since both went sick with the Kissing Disease after sharing nearby dorms around 2014 (everybody can draw his own picture at this point). Unlike Darya, Synnove assumably refused to undergo the High-Bjorn-Injection treatment. Therefore her performance today shall be considered more as a pointer for her next season's chances to catch up with the top athletes. Hoping for her to seriously challenge the Reigning Queen would be unrealistic expectation. Nonetheless, you should look out for #78 this time.

The schedule of this weekends competition is shown below with the warm up beginning at 14:30 and the main event, the girl's Sprint, to follow at around three hours later.

10 MAR 2017 14:40Men 10 km Sprint
10 MAR 2017 17:45 Women 7.5 km Sprint
11 MAR 2017 12:00 Men 12.5 km Pursuit

>lesser sick

you can't job if you don't compete

lets go boys

Men's competion is even more pointless than it usually is. Fucktard through and otherwise a chokefest

Erric Jobber surely made the right decision.

Betfag pls

YES!!!

...

Nice shooting from J.Boe in the pursuit

I mean Sprint

where is my favorite austrian ski autist who can't shoot for shit?

>emil

damn son

wtf is this 2009

woah what's happening, is peiffer actually having a decent run?

>tfw they will never show Koukalova from this angle

are the biathlon cameramen not allowed to show ass anymore? the cross country were reprimanded and shamed for showing the women changing one time so i've noticed they've become much more conservative with their filming

Nice job from Svendsen, he'll be on the podium maybe first

czech'd

I think they have some rules regarding it, I've literally never seen them show women's asses, and I watch a lot of biathlon. It's sad really ;_;

damn does bailey shoot 100% every time?

then I'm not watching this shit

Fourcade 0.6 seconds

fourcadewinslol

I don't like Fourcade, but I also don't want him to win because he will beat Bjorndalen's record. Stahp winning

>impying some girls like Heidi Weng didn't show themself on purpose in such poses whenever a camara was near

Heidi does it on purpose, she is a massive slut.

>tfw no slutty skiing gf

I'm interested. Tell me more. What does the norwegian rainbow press say regarding this topic?

Why is this allowed?

They don't say anything abou it, I just get the impression she likes to show off, partly because she strips in front of the camera whenever she gets the chance.

Too bad he's not fast on ski

Is biathlon the steeplechase of skiing? Are these second rate skiers compared to pure skiers or are they still pretty good?

The same reason as to why this was allowed
Biathlete Lars Berger won an individual gold medal in the regular ski world championship back in 2007, but I doubt it would be possible for any of the biathletes to compete with regular skiers these days.

They are pretty good, some have made some cross-country races like Fourcade or Bjorndalen, Bjorndalen finish 2nd a couple of time and even won (a 15km i think).

i was lazy to post weeg ago but i will post now: lth's bf just has his first wc podium(relay) in korea

in norway and sweden classic skiing probab;y more 'elite', just a littttle bit more elite.
In Russia it's probably the same, both are cool(actually ustygov started as baithlet and wanted to be a biathlet and changed to pre skiing only in late teen age. he was on in reserve team of his region in biathlon, but he was first team(first junior team) in skiing and even so he wanted to be biathlet more than skiier)
in germany, france, italy, czech i think biathlon is more popular and regarded.
in belarus and ukraine there are no strong skiiers team, but biathlon are pretty OK

You can't really compare biathlon to skiing. You can't use the same tactics in these two sports.

>changed to pure skiing

Hinz bf?

the racetrack, btw, was different and before the climb was not right, but left turn

this you?

no, me wasnt in pol for a lot of weeks

omg, sehr romantisch!

btw finns turned on some Retro FM song on the stadium, it is all now 100% comfy

ok, sorry, kek. i'm always unsure how many russian posters there are on here and then when there's a russian who seems intimately knowledgeable and interested in germany i think its you, lol

i wish i was knowledgeable of germany, but too lazy!

so i just post and save hinz(and as u can see i am lazy even to psot her too often)

ok, but you want to learn more!

girl from uni
dont know exactly where is she from, but found her in vk. her thumnbail picture draw my attention because she looked a bit like lth

LTH!

...

Funny, how german television never misses the ceremony when a frog won but instantly has some "more important" things to covert after a german victory.

lel, just saw this too and thought of our Ivan. I wanted to post it and then saw that I am late.

Nonetheless, because we had this discussion some time ago and it's also sports related, here's the link to the thread Especially the link to this arcticle (related to the all-ethnic german controversy in handball): breitbart.com/london/2016/02/13/feathers-ruffled-after-german-sports-team-found-to-comprise-entirely-of-germans/

>inb4 Breitbart, do your homework and just google the name of the """expert""" if you want it from another source

Could be worse. I heard they unironically played darude sandstorm somewhere during the langrenn WC.

...

Kaisa! (and her bf/husband? 'full service' at 14th february)

c-cute. is she ethnic russian? does't seem to have typical slavic facial structure, but i could be wrong

laura practice

idk, 'ethnic russian' is a complicated term and i dont remeber her name/surname and haven't saw her parents and dont even know what part of coutnry is she from. i smell some nordic genes
i can not help now, because i downloaded this pic in sept-november 2016 and forgot the roots.
will try later, after the race
maybe i will find her on vk again, i hope

>lel, just saw this too and thought of our Ivan.

kek. yea this is one of the reasons winter sports is still a big draw for me because it really reflects the real diversity of the nations. you have real norwegians skiing for norway, finns skiing for finland, etc. not the same in the track and field sports, football, etc where it's like a team from an international airport. it's like they might as well just be club teams playing because you can't even distinguish what country is playing by looking at the players. it then begs the question of countries even competing against each other anymore beacause its just one big mish mash. truly sad. but at the same time it's then nice to see when an actual native of a country does well in a sport where the competition is stacked against them

Hi all good people

are any brave Slovakian girls decent at this sport nowadays?

maybe the guys who are preparing the skis for the women? As for as I know they do their own "testing" and see which ski will fit the track/track-conditions best.

Teja Gregorin, but she dont have many good days for a pretty many years already

probably
service-mens

tought picrealted is hinz but vanessa is slimmer

>ZDOUC Dunja AUT
She is not ethnic german, right? Dunja is pretty Slav name and her surname is Slovakian or Slovenian or Czech.

Any germanbros already dreading the incoming hampster-circlejerk? At least ZDF is showing the races so I don't have to see Kati Wilhelms ugly mug.

Dunja/Дyня - also (pretty rare nowadays) Russian name

maybe i am not watching very preciesly, but i did not saw vanessa on shooting training(so far only laura and hammersmidt) and on the uphill camera

Teja looks like a lezzy to me though. I forgot the name but I think Slovakia had a solid milf.

Dunja is slavic? I always thought it was Persian or something. You can look up """german""" TV personality Dunja Hayali.
But yes, the name is under no circumstances ethnic germanic.

very slavic

yes, hi! Mari or Kaisa? nice trips btw

lovely lighting on the track
romantic

This! in addition to that, the sports with high financial revenue are ruining the athletes. Just look at football. The male team where the big money is made is full of school drop-outs and borderline idiots, while the the girls are mostly far better educated than the average because they are ambitious due to their hobbies and they know they can achieve their financial goals only through education because the sport itself does not pay off and once you're thirty-something you have to do something else either way.
