>Lemmy: "Why should I do that when it’s not music... There’s nothing creative about doing that [rapping] over music someone else created. They go out and take John Bonham’s drumming. I don’t call that music. You think they [rappers] could come up with sounds of their own, even some basic sounds and they can’t do it. Sad."
How can niggers recover?

I doubt rap fans giveLemmy's opinion a lot of weight.

Mostly with jazz and funk.

Hip hop is a pile of shit but rapping over funk is nice.

Too easy to dismiss the truth for them.

Lemmy made dadrock, I highly doubt forward thinkers in hip hop pay any attention to what he had to say. Dude had as much influence over music as Gene Simmons

that's not true, Lemmy's music influenced Metallica, which helped create thrash metal, he also heavily influenced Venom and Bathory, which helped create Black Metal.

are there any good rappers who actually produce their own beats? I dont really have anything against sampling (jimmy page was the godfather of it desu), but it sort of feel like rap is in the era of rock music where everyone just sang covers or had their hits wriiten for them.

>Actually talking shit about Lemmy
Ummm no sweetie

>forward thinkers in hip hop
Every single innovation in hip hop in the last decade was done in rock music in the 60s/70s

*blocks your path*

That's southwestern native art, you dip

>Lemmy didn't influence anything
Wew. Two massive genres of metal beg to disagree.

actually three

speed metal isn't a real genre

>Lemmy's music influenced Metallica, which helped create thrash metal
Truly a valuable contribution to music.

Unironically what Lemmy's apartment looked like in the documentary.

this but unironically

suicideboys does
if you can get past their edginess, they're p gud
kinda ironic for lemmy to talk about originality, he released the same album 39 times
I still love his music tho

Motorhead had an original sound, it's good they stuck to it, means they never sold out.

what makes you say that

>I don't like the genre so he didn't influence it

Too easy to dismiss the truth for you

>means they never sold out.
not really
their sound sold well, they would've probably lost a lot of fans if they tried to "sell out", so in a way, staying trve is kinda selling out

OMGZ LEMMY WAS A GAMER

But you're the liar who hasn't even heard anything yet.

Nice mental gymnastics there. Pity Lemmy was true to the core and lived pure rock n roll chaos all his life.

> they never sold out

>making a song for one of the coolest horror movies ever
>selling out
Non-horror fan, please go away. Horror is rock n roll.

yeah yeah sure he was rock and roll personified
still, "selling out" doesn't always mean pop-ifying their sound
just look at linkin park who kept losing fans and never sold more than their first album. Everyone said they were selling out, but if they really wanted nothing but money, they should've just sticked to their old sound, and they knew that

That man is everything I have ever loved
