I know this sounds like a joke answer, but I'm giving him within the year. I think he just can't not commit crimes.

What kind of crime do you think? I'm betting on assault against whoever ends up being his new partner.

Police will just shoot him during the car chase this time. Save everyone a lot of trouble.

I dunno. He might get shot, possibly by the cops during commission of a crime, his heart might just give out, maybe cancer, I'm not sure. I just feel like it's gonna happen for some reason.
