I was nine when that came out, and my parents didn't want to take me to see it (since it was PG-13), but I begged and pleaded and did my homework and cleaned my room, and eventually convinced them. And the movie was awesome. Just rewatched it a few months back. Nostalgia's a powerful thing. Looking back, it's hilariously outdated, but still a good movie.

everyones got a story like that. Fairly sure I spent ages googling the matrix when it first came out, and it took months to convince my parents that I was old enough for it. Even tried to explain the whole fucking concept when I was 10.
They caved in the end. Was tamer than i expected.
