New Vegas sucked.

New Vegas was the best Fallout to date.

Because Mister house is a self made man, and I'm just a working man.

...

why do that when I can go ham with a fat man?

Render unto Caesar, profligate!

Right behind 3, you mean.

Fallout 3 was worse than 4. It's was literally Bethasda's first time at creating a Fallout.

Take off that sports equipment

I did all of the endings tho

And they nailed it right out the gate. 3 > 4 > New Vegas

Fallout 4 was a downgrade from New Vegas and 3. They added a dumbed down leveling system for the casuals, high stats besides charisma wouldn't matter in conversations, and the world wasn't nearly as diverse as the previous games.

What made Fallout 3 so great?

Captured the atmosphere of a post nuclear wasteland perfectly. Everything is destroyed, survivors are barely struggling by, deserted feel to most of the ruins.

New Vegas felt too settled and luxurious for post apocalypse.

mate, you're being poorly trolled

> "Someone disagrees with my opinion. They must be a troll."

>New Vegas felt too settled and luxurious for post apocalypse.
That's the goddamn point, you idiot. Apart from the NCR literally owning California, House has made sure to keep Vegas up and running, and not just another junkie den for raiders. The NCR expedited this progress with their money and trade routes.

DC is a wasteland because it overrun with goddamn super mutants.

Right. Sadly, that has nothing to do with what I said.

>hurr durr its not da apokalips if ther r no city ruins xDDD

Oh, ok.

I sided with Yes Man. Wanted to rule the Strip, not let any of the other faggots rule it when they were clearly unfit for the job.

Mr. House could have done a good job, too, but... yeah, why leave HIM in charge, when I could control the strip myself ?

I guess by your logic, something like Grand Theft Auto V fits the post apocalypse theme, too.

Sad you're such a fucking idiot.

>Brotherhood of Steel in the "totally not destroyed" Pentagon
>Enclave with a high tech mountain base
>City built around a nuke with a shit ton a scrap metal
>Aircraft carrier being used as a hotel
>Actual hotel still standing and used by rich wastelanders
>this is somehow normal apocalypse stuff

Fallout 1&2 > New Vegas > Fallout 3 > tactics > fallout 4

Except NEw vegas is an RPG with FPS elements, whereas Fallout 4 is basically a FPS with a downgraded RPG system.
I suppose it depends on what you're looking for in a game. If you want nice shooting mechanics, hd graphics, and the role play is a secondary gameplay element to you, then you'd prefer Fallout 4.
Personally, this is secondary to me, as I prefer a strong emphasis on the story and character building, dialogues, choices you make, and especially a coherent universe.

...

> No food or water problems
> Entire towns untouched everywhere
> An entire strip of fully powered casinos
> Fucking airplanes
> Can't walk two feet without running into 20 people doing just fine.

Yeah, New Vegas sure captures the theme of post apocalypse well. Just as well as Mario Kart captures the thrill of a gritty police drama.

kek
this
like 5 times over

fuckin this.

New Vegas is at a time when the rebuilding efforts have been working. Not VERY well, mind you, but still... there are some powers (Brotherhood of Steel, NCR, Followers of Apocalypse) which were more than able to help rebuild a functional, even if not very nice, technological foundation.

Hence, the greenhouses, the water distribution system, the dam still producing electricity, etc.

Guys it doesn't matter if you liked 3 more than new vegas, or the other way around.

Let's all just agree 4 sucked donkey balls.

A benevolent dictatorship is a good thing when the dictator in question really is benevolent and will never be replaced or overthrown.

Because it's been way too long since the bombs dropped you dumbass. The world has to evolve

Mr.House he put more thought into it than anyone and you get a cool shirt from Ulysses

he gave me a feeling of the anything was possible; and he was right...

Agreed, if the dictator IS benevolent, then it is a good thing.

Yep. 3 was really awful on certain aspects, but I still like this game. Fallout 4 on the other hand ... well, I don't consider it being a real Fallout.

Communism in a nutshell

It's set not even 5 years later, you fucking dumbass.

>Can't walk two feet without running into 20 people doing just fine.
You daft cunt. I just explained why the Strip was doing fine. Take a walk outside of the strip and the problem become more apparent. So much so that not even NCR presence can do much. People are starving, drugging, raped, and enslaved in the less savory parts of Vegas. Shit, talk to any of the Followers of the Apocalypse for ten seconds and you'll find this out.

The plane was silly though.

was meant for

Fallout 4 is a fun game.

>no food or water problems
someone was too pussy for hardcore mode
>entire towns untouched everywhere
simply.. fucking no. small settlements of barely surviving people covered most of the wasteland
>an entire strip of fully powerd cosinos
the strip isnt at all that big and it was made up and running by house. literally the core storyline of the game
>fucking airplanes
one airplane. and several missions to pass to get that plane up and running from the bottom of a lake.
>cant walk two feet without running into 20 people doing just fine
>two feet
>twenty people
>just fine
just no faggot did you even play this game??

Again, cool beans. They explained in the plot why they couldn't capture the theme. Doesn't excuse the game from not capturing the fucking theme.

it was kinda mad maxy

Its a fun shooter with minor rpg elements

Not really a fallout game tho.

> someone was too pussy for hardcore mode

You mean "two extra meters I can ignore for hours on end before pressing one button to make them go away" mode? Yeah, real hardcore...

You guys excited for New Vegas 2?

...oh wait...

Fallout isn't even Fallout, it's Wasteland.

True scotsman rationality is pointless wheel spinning. A game is fun or it's not and if it's fun it's fun for whatever reasons make it fun. Pining over what could have been is a waste of time.

This same logic applies to Dead Space 3 which is also a fun shooting game.

The point of POST-apocalypse is to show how human societies recovered years after the war stopped. It actually makes sense in this aspect.
I heard people calling it post-post apocalypse, but it's a bit a stretch if you ask me.

No fuck off, they dumbed down the series to appeal to more people so they could make more money.

There are too few rpgs where you can choose to be a bad guy already.

i mean keeping up with water food and sleep needs.
although i can agree they werent frequent enough to make you feel like your playing a sims game.
waiting and fast travel still have an effect on these stats.
you're still a faggot for writing it off as a pointless mechanic to your playthrough at all.

"It's not what I expected" =/= "It is bad"

Please grow up.

Not to mention the vast majority of the time you can choose to be the bad guy, you're severely penalized for it, or greatly rewarded for not.

I liked Fallout 1 too. but it was nowhere near as good as Fallout 2 and New Vegas.

Also, tactics was more of a side project.

>A game is fun or it's not and if it's fun it's fun for whatever reasons make it fun
It's true, but that's not the point.

Trips of truth.
The faggot you're replying to probably used console commands to just give himself everything maxed and then rushed end-game.

It was completely pointless.

>Sleep meter is almost maxed

Better walk ten feet to the nearest bed, press one button and drain it.

> Thirst meter is almost maxed

Better open my inventory and drink a bottle or two of water.

Basically you do this every few days you play. Not even remotely challenging and not even frequent enough to be tedious.

Well it's more to the point that Fallout 4 is a fun game while also being a huge disappointment and the two things aren't mutually exclusive.

Only edgy teenagers and uneducated neanderthals believe anarchy is a good idea.

If you think someone needs console commands to deal with hardcore mode, then you've never played the game.

nigger

Anarchical forms of governance are taken seriously by a lot of people, especially highly educated political minds. Mostly leftists of course.

until you arent near a bed because your busy in one story line or another.
or when you run out of water and cant find any in time.
same with food

thats all not to mention stimpaks acting like they shouldve in the first place and not being an insta heal to everything including limbs. whcih in hardcore require a doctors bag or an actual doctor visit to fix.

hardcore mode was for those who wanted the extra realism touch. is it perfect? no not really.
but it definitely added to the challenge of the game.
often in places or at times you hadnt thought it would.

If it means a more shallow game that has less features and complexity than its predecessors, then that's objectively bad. I know what I want isn't all that matters but if there's any metric to determine whether a change is good or bad, it's that.

I use console commands like tm and fov so I don't have any achievements in FNV despite putting thousands of hours into it.

tfw

>until you arent near a bed because your busy in one story line or another.
>or when you run out of water and cant find any in time.
>same with food

...have you even played New Vegas? This is literally never the case.

>Anarchical forms of governance

Nice oxymoron.

Dead Space 3 had more features than Dead Space 2 objectively speaking.

It had greater complexity overall.

Shallowness is subjective.

What did he mean by this?

Not at all. Read a book some time. Anarchy simply means abolition of the state, governments can exist without statism.

How about we read this instead?

merriam-webster.com/dictionary/anarchy

Good luck running a non-organized government on population sizes more than a few dozen.

Shit game
>but it was better than FO3 and 4
also shit games. NV had a shit tier map

The dictionary isn't an authoritative source.

Please stop being so retarded it's second hand embarrassing for me.

I guarantee you don't apply this logic to everything. Something comes along and pisses you off with a change and you have a hard time accepting it, just like anyone else. Maybe you realize that you SHOULDN'T accept it and demand better.

You're only applying this logic here to justify your enjoyment for a game you know is shit. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a shitty game, but we're still allowed to acknowledge that it's shit.

considering weight limits to what you carry and the fact you cant sleep in unowned beds this problem literally arises constantly. especially the sleep one.
water and food can have its own reserve in the weight limit and as long as you stay stocked and make it back to one settlement or another in time your fine.
on extensive missions out in the wasteland and especially in the dlcs running low on supplies before getting back to base is always an issue.

also alcohol increases thirst. some foods do too. theres just too much you arent considering leading me to believe you have genuinely not played this game before and are talking out of your ass.

>implying statist capitalism runs properly

Son, you're getting rekt here. Best if you just run along now.

>people who literally define words don't know the real meaning of words
Nigguh what?

There's nothing wrong with Dead Space 3, it's a good game. You're just brainwashed because its name makes you expect something different.

Stop being manipulated so easily by marketing.

Son I am disappoint.

In your low effort posting.

I've put hundreds of hours into the game, all on hardcore mode. It's literally just a meter to remind you to press a button every few times you play. If you ever actually are hindered by those meters, then you're pretty damn bad at the game.

this

>not playing modded mechanics
>not using 15x speed on survival needs
Sounds like you're some casual who thinks they need to feel superior by using Hardcore Mode and then shitting on it because it was "too easy".
You probably have the difficulty slider set to minimum to compensate, right?

>NV had a shit tier map
could you elaborate?

There's not a setting in New Vegas that *isn't* minimum. The only time I almost died from the hardcore meters was the time I got so bored I fell asleep playing.

>You're just brainwashed because its name makes you expect something different.
Yeah, I expected a sequel to a horror game. But instead they released an action game under its name and then never released that proper sequel because... that was supposed to be it.

They could've made a solid action shooter game AND a proper horror sequel. But no. They used its name to sell something else.

And that's somehow my fault and not EA's.

Here it's hard to tell whether someone is stating their genuine opinion about a game or just being extremely contrarian for the sake of baiting people.

Not him, but for me I'd say the linearness of it forcing you in a counter clockwise circle.

for the most part it isnt hard to keep up with. ive said that. however there were times when i was too far away from the settlement up against things i wasnt meant to be against yet and had to use water and/or food for health in place of stimpaks and ran into an h20 or FOD stat issue. suffered some penalties or other that made fighting the enemies even harder. much less getting back alive.
and if you mean to tell me this never once happened to you then you played it super slow and safe, cheated, or are outright lying.

It was a good game. You're just butthurt it wasn't exactly how you wanted it to be.

Guess you're some console fag, my mistake in thinking you had the capacity to not suck cocks.

I sided with myself

The meter takes days to fill. If you never once in your days of playing ever drank from one of the hundreds of water sources or slept in one of the hundreds of beds, then the reason your died to the hardcore meters is because you fucking suck at the game.

That depends on how easily you're corralled into following the progression of difficulty. I've run straight from Goodsprings to New Vegas Strip at level 1, dodging Giant Radscorpions, Legion platoons, and a couple Death Claws.

The amount of purified water and wild animal meat makes it impossible to die of thirst or hunger unless you actively try to.

It's just a button you gotta press.

hohum...

Did he play vidya too? Maybe we can blame them too.
