Bardo Pond is fucking amazing.

obligatory nsfw btw
youtube.com
that bitch is crazy
the ambient sections I think are just their songs slowed down like 800%
Not bad but wouldn't call it shoegaze at all
should I listen to psub? is their discog worth
absolutely. psub is essential and probably the best /shugazi/ band still putting out music
i thought essentials were loveless and slowdive
essential nu-gaze
Where my Cruyff Sup Forumstant fans at?
This is not Sup Forums.
whats ishygddt
I really like the faint math-rock influence and elements japgazers incorporate into their songs

nice tits though
it must be fate

This sounds good, what's your take on it? Is the band good?
The Radio Dept. is great.
Pic related shouldn't be slept on once you've heard the studio albums
lean is beautufl man
>2011+6
>not knowing ishygddt
I seriously hope you guys don't do this.
Underrated album
Man that looks like an anime soundtrack or some shit.
But you're right.
oh thx
This is good
Is this the right general for this? If so, more like this?
It was a harsh noise section, listen to it
Also good
Working on 2nd album btw
Why does whirr keep shilling themselves here, don't they have some trannys to harass?
>implying whirr even needs to shill themselves
Whirr have been /shugazi/'s guys forever
they aren't even a band anymore...
D-Don't bully me I-I'm not a trans..
gloss pls go
crawl back to your cuck shed
there is no way those 4 other replies are not all yours
ikr embarassing
Panda Rosa just released a more shoegaze influenced album, it's really fucking beautiful.
It's like plunderphonics + dance + shoegaze?
yeah also vapourwave ambient stuff which is pretty good
None of them are I'm surprised so many people took my bait for (You)'s I feel pretty rewarded
>tfw people took your bait
Comfy song but what was math rock-y about that?
I just had the most incredible trip on 3-meo-pcp to this album, felt so personal and movie-like. It was my first time listening.
Wait are there two tracks with the title golden hair cus I thought it was the last song
yeah Bel Canto is dream pop/ethereal wave so it fits here
the guitar picking and the effects on it remind me a little of math-rock
>pcp
nigga
Could never really get super into that album, save for a couple tracks.
:(
Listen to this.
It's not shugazi though.
anyone got a dl link for this

Serious question: why don't shoegaze albums sound like this anymore?
Is there a pastebin with the latest releases friends?
How do we get Whirr to reunite bros? I have an idea that's probably super autistic but hear me out.
So the only way this plan can work is if Nicky B. still has an incredibly large ego, which I distinctly remember him having during the Whirr years. So basically the plan is, one of us starts a band that has enough similarity to Whirr that they can be compared, but different enough that it's its own thing.
Then that band cuts an album or two, starts doing the music scene hustle and tries to book shows, etc. Then during an interview (which is bound to happen at some point) the interviewer will probably ask "where do you guys get your inspiration from?"
So the frontman or whatever starts saying how they wanted to out-Whirr Whirr, that Nothing sucks dick, and Whirr isn't nearly as good as they are. Then maybe say something like "Hear that Bassett? You and Whirr are a bunch of talentless hacks!"
The interview is bound to make its rounds in the shoegaze circle because it's basically a bunch of nobodies goading one of the biggest shoegaze bands that had ever existed. Bassett will be really pissed most likely and be like "oh yeah kid? You think you're better than Whirr? I'm gonna get the band back together so we can put you in your place!"
I don't know what's supposed to happen after that. I'm high. This plan is probably stupid but I think it can work.
That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard user go to bed
Anyone wanna help me make a new entry-level shoegaze chart? I feel that the old charts, while good, are lacking in something. What I mean is I got much more enjoyment out of asking anons in random shugazi threads for recs than the charts. Idk.
Thoughts of KoD?
Any similar bands you guys can rec?
What do you guys think?
i'd add a row with something from psub, whirr, and ceres & calypso. i think those three are pretty big and would balance out the rest of the 90s stuff?
we need a "i cant into Loveless wat do" flowchart
make it something like
>too noisy i cant hear anything
listen to Painful
>wtf they're mumbling i need to hear what theyre saying
listen to Souvlaki
>all songs sound the same?
listen to Swirlies
>not catchy enough
listen to Isn't Anything
Better?
I fully approve. Interested to hear others opinions.
>can't into Loveless
Listen to it again and again until it clicks
I already like Loveless, I'm just saying for those people who want to get into shoegaze but can't into Loveless
Why is this album never talked about?
I thought Loveless not "clicking" was just Sup Forums shitposting?
/shugazi/ loves Stargazer, always get (You)s when I mention it.
>2011+6
please kill me
Been listening to this album and True Widow's discography. I recommend it.
try The Field Mice (For Keeps) or The Wedding Present (Seamonsters)
grow up!
In that case do you know anything similar it's my favorite shoegaze album right now
It is, but having a ready response could be nice
>one of the biggest shoegaze bands that had ever existed
yeah, okay nick
most of it is, but I think there's a decent portion that is genuine
Version 3.0
This is where my personal taste might influence my choices, let me know if you agree or not.
We obviously listen to very different nugaze but Curve is in there.
