How Syrian female beauty has evolved over 100 years

In the 1990s women could wear what they wanted and actually celebrated their beauty. Fast forward 20 years and it's a completely different story. Why are there no feminists outraged about this?

Cause they are pussies

Religious fundamentalism in Islam has made a drastic return and middle eastern countries which had progressively become more and more western suddenly got cut off or cut themselves off from the west

9/11 and the resulting 'Iraq Clusterfuck' didn't just fundamentally change only the USA...!

>In the 1990s women could wear what they wanted and actually celebrated their beauty.
In the 1990s, Syria was controlled by the secular, nationalist Ba'athist regime.
>In the 1990s women could wear what they wanted and actually celebrated their beauty. Fast forward 20 years and it's a completely different story.
It's not a COMPLETELY different story. Even today, much of Syria is still under SAA control, and in these parts society is still quite liberal and Westernized (probably moreso than anywhere else in the Middle East, save perhaps Israel). Only in the regions that have fallen to Sunni Islamic fundamentalists do you see women being forced to dress like ninjas.
>Why are there no feminists outraged about this?
Well that's an entirely different matter... They're so caught up in their rhetoric of false-equality and tolerance that they fail to realize the people they're blindly tolerating and refusing to judge also happen to stand for everything they hate.

She looks paki. I doubt she's an actual Syrian girl.

your reminder

Amira Al Tawil wears western clothes though

Feminists are all sorts of outraged but they also fear being called imperialist.

The transition is basically the rise and fall of western influence in the middle east.

This is a former Syrian flatmate of mine and her sister. They live in Damascus under the reign of based Assad.

The black caspers are what happens when islamists take control, but it's not how it is in all of Syria, just the Osama bin Laden-worshipping shitholes.

>Amira Al Tawil wears western clothes though

How is Queen Noor doing? We never hear about her anymore.

It seems like ages ago when middle eastern countries' leaders were intermarrying with east coast white aristocratic classes.

>The transition is basically the rise and fall of western influence in the middle east.

What a C- answer. The USSR supported gender equality and pushed it with the middle eastern states they supported. Iraq and Syria were both USSR supported states.

Places like Egypt and Jordan were US supported states.

Both the USSR and USA wanted to set themselves apart from Islamic fundamentalism which is tribal and backwards and present either Capitalism or Communism/Socialism as the answer to their need to modernize.

Niqqab or Burqa or whatever the fuck that retarded shit is, is PURE FUCKING CANCER, it's something insecure religious faggots created because "muh honor", it should be fucking banned all over the globe t.b.h fa.m

Did you fuck either of them?

Why Balastine have almost the same flag as Jordan?
maybe because Balastine is just a meme?

Can she speak Polish though?

Nice analysis Shlomo

British designed it.

>Those who cover their heads are opponents of Assad
How can he still be considered the bad guy?

No the one I lived with was already fucking a couple of hippies (free love, acid and all that) and living with one of them.

I can't speak Polish and it was in Lebanon.
