>half of a band is goth
>half looks like teenage metal fans
pretty accurate representation of the current goth scene

I love this track too much

What are some early era goth bands that aren't the usual suspects? I've liked what Bauhaus I've listened to in the past.
I fucking loved the early Cold Cave stuff when it was initially coming out, still do.
The early singles/EPs, the first LP, probably the apex of modern goth.

Cherish The Light Years was largely utter overproduced shit and got rid of almost all of the things that made me care about that band in the first place though, and I stopped paying attention to Eisold shortly after. It is a shame.
>Everything they put out
Is this the right thread to ask that, since I'm just getting into Sisters of Mercy, is their latest album worth checking?
collide is really good, songs like intruder, predator, razor sharp, chaotic
>there's no such thing as black clothes in general
Can't wait for their next album?
By the way, any other band that sings about Lovecraft mythos or have songs/albums inspired by them? I need my fix of cosmic horror made music.
A bit cheesy for my taste
Mixed feelings about this one.. what genre would you classify this as?
i love you /dark/
Some Gothic dance-core;
Skinny Puppy - Rabies, Bites
Skeletal Family - Burning Oil
Alien Sex Fiend - Maximum Security, Curse
Have they said anything about a new album?
I just heard the instrumentals released a few weeks back and thought that was it.
As for the Lovecraft inspired music, the other ones I know are metal related, such as Portal, Chthe'ilist, and The Great Old Ones.

Nothing apparently, I know is released some day on September, but that's about.

And is always black/death metal, oh well, thanks for the recs user.
Patricia Morrison or Siouxsie for best waifu?
Wow, anything else that sounds like this? Really loving it.
Fuck why does anything in minor key with reverberating guitars sound good?
christian death and 45 grave are essential if you havent.

And I know most people relate MM with Mana, but to me, as much as Mana's credit is due, I was always partial to Kozi, especially post-Malice Mizer.
Mana kept the gothic organ/harpsichord heavy orchestra feel mixed with death metal, but Közi went for a more goth rock approach with his solo stuff and his newer bands.
I find myself coming back to Kozi's music more as time goes on. It just gets better with each listen.

really good goth/post-punk kinda mixed with surf
This is the best song released on Nekrophile Rekords. It's a nice, plaintive ghostly melody, and you can feel the seance working.
was at a record store in indianapolis and the dude there was playing this
also obviously dead can dance

Is this sufficiently /dark/? I've seen people call this band post-rock but I really can't see why.

One of my favourite /dark/ songs.
You come in black and us?
what does that mean?
oh wait maybe it's "You come in black and we..." like trailing off?
Don't know why but the uploader didn't write the whole song name, which is "Tu vienes de negro y nosotros volvemos de gris", translated as "You come in black and we return in grey"
