best anime?

monster

you fags cant heal cancer lmao

Used to be a big fan of Bleach back in the day, before it turned to fillers and shit.

What is the meaning of life?

My oncology term was one of the most depressing things i've ever done. Its merely a numbers game and the 1% extra chance is a load of shit. Cancer destroys people (not just physically and not just the patient)

Is ketamine good for the body

The pacing of the anime was horrible. The Manga is by far better, as you can read it in normal speed.

Be happy with what you have and what you have achieved. Be exited to go to work, to help others, to help yourself. Set a goal, achieve it, relish in the success.

my mom just got diagnosed with leukemia. Supposed to start heavy chemo tomorrow. It might stop it for now but she will just get more cancer within 5 years right?

Ketamine is still poorly understood. Its a NMDA receptor antagonist and causes dissociation (hence drug abuse) but also is very handy when you want to sedate a person without fucking up their blood pressure etc (think morphine, fentanyl). Recent literature suggests its use in psychiatric disorders.
My anaesthetic colleagues love it.

to crush your enemies
see them driven before you
and hear the lamentations of their women

Im sorry to hear about your mother. Treatment response varies depending on the type of leukaemia, the age of onset and the health of the patient. Chemo eradicates cancerous cells, with hopes of going into remission (disease free period). There's always a chance for recurrence, just like any disease, injury etc. The rate of recurrence depends on the cancer type.
All the best with the treatment.

Mhm.. That is true. But you are helping people with the wisdom you gathered for decades. That is more than enough. Somethings are inevitable.

doesnt heavy chemo give you more cancer in the long run?

No. Chemotherapy damages rapidly dividing cells, so it targets cancerous cells but also cells which make our hair, gut lining etc. The strength of chemotherapy its its ability to destroy certain aspects of the cellular cycle. The risk of cancer increases with radiotherapy, which is the use of radiation in 'zapping' the tumour/cancer. High doses used in radiotherapy theoretically increase the risk of cancer. This effect can have a latent period (or time to show itself) from 10 years (leukaemia) to 20 years (solid organ tumours).
We are talking big doses though, like 20Sv, (consider yearly radiation exposure is 2.5mSv).

As a percentage of total patients seen as a medic, how many of them are druggies in terms of relative time and/or income. E.G how much do drug users cost the public healthcare system in comparison with non drug users?

explain the prostate and explain how its real because most people think its a myth

Depends on where you work and which specialty. In Emergency, coming into weekends (friday, saturday, sunday) you'll see a ton of dropkicks who booze and fight and come in with all sorts of injuries. At my center this is like 50% of the workload during a weekend shift. In regards to chronic medicine, you deal with the consequences of drug abuse , for example liver failure due to Heptatitis from injecting, AIDS etc etc.
Drug users, who are habitual and active are actually high in volume overall, so i'd say the ratio of drug users to non-drug users in most hospital settings is pretty similar.

What can you tell about taser effects? For how long does it affect the person? How much is dangerous?

Do you support drug testing for welfare recipients? or mandatory drug rehabilitation if they test positive on any test?

lol wat. Who thinks the prostate is a myth.
Location: Pelvis, below the bladder.
Function: Urinary continance, ejaculation (contains the ducts where sperm come from etc), prevents the reflux of sperm into the bladder.
Burden of disease: 1 in 2 adult men will have a big prostate, with prostate cancer becoming more prevalent throughout the world. Think bony cancerous deposits and shitty operations to remove the prostate leading to incontinence and ejaculation problems.

Cant stop people from doing drugs. Mandatory testing only produces incentives for people to hide and do dodgy shit. Education is the key.

What do you think about the Medicare-for-all plan from Bernie Sanders, when you are beyond exhausted and working overtime do I have the right to your services regardless?

people think its a myth and its just a lie to get guys to shove things up there ass then they get called gay

I don't work in the US. I do have experience with Medicare-for-all though. The treatment you receive from your doctor (be it local, specialist etc) should not change because operating hours etc change. The system will adapt to increased demand by increasing medical employment etc. It will also decrease the use of useless shitty fucking tests which are only ordered in the US due to liability and lawsuits.

What
Have
I
Got
In my
Pocket

your sense of humor

Motherfucker do I look like a mindreader or a magician?

I don’t have any pockets.

Proof you’re not all knowing and dr.s are condescending useless pricks

Proof you're a dipshit. Condescending, big word for a lil kid.

How exactly do people get aids sexually? They say shit like it has to enter your blood stream but people get it from just having normal vaginal sex or blow job?? Why is aids more common in homo sex?

HIV is transmitted via fluids. I.e blood, semen, saliva etc. Hence the transmission via sex.
Also it survives outside of the host for a very short period of time. You could like HIV infected blood after 3 days and not get ill. Also means you can continue fucking your door knob in your dormitory.

wrong, everyone has pockets

what is the best/effective/painless way to slit your wrists?

How do you fuck a door knob? asking for a friend

How long did you spend in college/residency. also, how did you do on the mcat

Ez question. Down the train tracks not across.

Didn't do US med bruski. I spent 5 years in residency programs. 6 years of med school

The brain named itself.

how long does it take to know if I have HPV?

I don’t, wearing boxers right now.

Congrats, you just proved my point twice over you useless shitladle.

As in how long does the test take? HPV PCR testing is quick and normally results are posted within 5 days.
HPV infection doesnt always manifest with symptoms like warts or cervical cancer

whymadthough.jpg

With testing you can know within hours, depending on how lazy your doctor is and how busy your lab tech is.
Though if it’s like the retarded useless fuck in this thread answering questions, never.
Also it won’t be until you become symptomatic that you’ll know if you’re never tested, and that varies person to person.
Lab tech here.

Do you ever feel regret for going into this field of medicine, or going into medicine itself

I had sex with a hooker in like 2009, that's why Im asking, i have never tested myself, but I have constant fear that my dick one day will have warts

broke a non free floating rib in Brajilian jiu jitsu about 3 months ago. Stayed out of practice for 2 months. Now i ocasionally feel a muscle pain there, that goes awy when i strecth the thorax.

Should i stop wrestling and if so for how long? Or is it going to get better on its own?

any tips?

Retarded useless fuck

>implying that US physicians don't already work long shifts and shitty hours for probably less pay than you think thanks to the UNsurance companies and student debt

Yeh. Its a difficult process to get in and the job satisfaction although high, is under pressure from paycuts, job cuts etc etc. I wouldn't encourage my kids to do med tbh.

Yea but how the fuck does it enter the blood stream when having vaginal sex? Unless you painfully cut your dick/vagina with a razor I don't see it getting passed on easily that way.

You likely have it. 50% of adults (both sexes) will have it at some point in their lives.

You have an anus

Its a possibility. But like herpes, the % of people that have symptoms or visible lesions is pretty low.

>looks at a person then orders tests that are done by other staff and then processed by people like me
>thinks he works
Lol, k. This is why doctors are fuckbois. At least surgeons DO something.

Hey mate. Free floating ribs are suspended in muscle and have nerve above and below their margins. By fracturing a rib, you run the risk of injuring the nerve. Sometimes nerve pain can be chronic and pretty debilitating. My advice is stretch and do what you normally do, including BJJ. The muscle pain may be from the irritated nerve

I had a Bad flu a few Days ago. Feeling better already. But now i have a strong feeling of aching in my legs and arms. Im extremely weak, i cant even wipe my ass or Pull my pants up.

NOT A POCKET! I never plan on going to prison, thanks.

My mates a lab tech. You press buttons. Good job, but shit for brains position. Get off your high horse, I wasn't talking shit about your job until you had a little hissy fit.

i havent had a flu or anything in 5 years, will i die?

Sometime bad flu can cause muscle breakdown resulting in dark urine and rhabdomyolysis. Drink up as much as you can, stay hydrated and moving. Resting muscles ache more the less they are used.

No

You will get the super aids flue and die instantly

>thinks we just press buttons
And this is why Dr.s are retarded and disconnected with reality.
No wonder everyone hates you, specifically, fuckboi.

lolmad. Hows the bachelor of science treating you poorboy.

thank you. It was a NON fre floating rib but i guess its the same no? any food that helps?

Ah soz misread. Yes its the same principle. Ribs heal very well. Its the complications of rib fractures, like nerve injury that cause more pain in the long term. Keep moving and stretch out pre BJJ.

thank you man

I'm very thirsty and pee a lot since some years ago. I've tried a few medicaments but nothing helped, now I just kinda learned to live with it, what do I have?

Have you checked your sugar levels? Often pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes can cause people to feel very thirsty and urinate lots. Other causes can be central (brain signalling) which can also be tested for.

Sorry but I actually went to school longer than that.
By the time I am through with school I’ll actually have a more time invested and education than you, doing research into actual cures for ailments with the end goal of making you not needed, rather than just useless.
Keep being mad, fuckboi.

Lab tech. lel
Not sure why you're so bitter.
Good luck with it all though !

So i popped an abscess just below the cocyx not sure how to spell that properly but anywho the hole is clean and im taking prescriptedantibiotics for it howeverthe whole or exit point of the abscess is still open and leaking any suggestions

Useless
Fuck
Boi

every time i eat food gets stuck in my throat right at my solar plexus and i have to force it down with something to drink. how can i make this better/what is this

Holes tend discharge if they open, as long as its clear yellowy fluid, thats ok. If its thick it may indicate persisting infection.

drinkng loads(full cup every hour but peeing once to twice a day, 16 btw.

Thanks mang its a clear yellow and not thick just a bit uncomfortable sitting is all due to empty flesh sac grinding tailbone no homo

I have pseudo-gyno and even when I drop weight to skinny, The fat is still there. WTF? what can I do.

do you have any shocking weird funny stories

Weight loss and exercise are your friends. Sometime peolle struggle with profound weightloss and man boobs. Work the pec muscles, burn fat and make muscle. Over the time fat will resorb. Its the really drastiic weigt loss that sometimes needs plastic surgey.

More sad stories than cool/funny. Did remove a massive pink dildo from some dudes ass. It was like 10 inches and pinn. He asked for it back. It was his third time...

I have premature arthritis that has already required surgery... is there any hope of slowing it down or helping with the chronic pain?

What was the cause of the fusion? Born with it or trauma? Its a hard fix, normally people with back pain will get a fusion.

What year medic are you?

7th year out from med school

Born with. Deleted post because personal info. Sorry bud

I'm 33. I've always walked funny. I got into blue collar work, trying to do something with my life. Lifted 45kg a day, 8 hours a day for 2 years, then my back seized up on me.

Can they re-allign this shit?

Its not a profound scoliosis. The orthopods can get into it and realign the spine, although it will definitely decrease your spinal movement, esp in bending forward. Its a case of initial lifestyle modification (weight loss, exercise, stretches) followed by braces (back braces etc) followed by steroid injections AND then surgical opinion. Sorry to hear mate.

Will I ever be able to drive trucks once this is done?

I'm prepared to do whatever I can to undo this bullshit.

>I've only just found out.. lost my job, still coming to terms with it. It's ok, man.

Arthritis, either osteoarthritis or rheumatoid can be quite debilitating. If you have premature arthritis, its likely inflammatory (juvenile, psoriatic, rheumatoid). Treatment involves early detection, exercise and good medication regimes. DMARDS (google it) can help if its rheumatoid.

Yes you can. It may be uncomfortable though, so only time will tell how you would respond to surgery. I would perhaps have a chat to a physio or a osteopath, NOT A CHIRO and see what they think. Try non-surgical as much as you can, once you take that red surgical pill, its a hard course from there..

I'd never even heard of DMARDS before. It sounds amazing, even with all the side effects, but I'm already on four medications for mental health reasons and I am 99.99% certain that they would conflict with any of the DMARDS that I'm seeing in google.

I've tried non surgical.

The physio had me screaming. Just testing my range of movement in my left leg was fucking agony, I almost sat up and punched him. I was on tramadol at the time. He wanted me doing stretches that made me throw up. I'm starting light instead, working up to it. My upper body has carried most of the weight.

The pain is unbearable. I don't wanna be on painkillers forever. I'll never be able to operate vehicles. I'll look like a heroin addict in the piss test.

I need to see an osteo, but my healthcare is basic, because australia, born poor, raised by junkies. I have no savings, assets, retirement fund, anything.

It's gonna take years.

The last glimmer of hope i'm holding onto is that they can fix me and I can finally do something with my miserable life..

Thanks for listening OP, today you were a bro.

Can anyone help with legit advice?
My foot has callus. It is thick and occasionally it is becoming itchy. I often peel it but it often become a wound after peeling too deep. I've been using baking powder in my socks and wash my foot, but it does not help much. Anyone knows what to do?

Also after looking at internet all i found is diabetic callus/ulcers with gaping wound. Mind is just a normal callus, but it is spreading and itchy. I don't have diabetes.

what kind of shoes do you wear?

See your Gp. He can organise a management care plan which should have subsidised services to physios, osteos etc

I have Bruxism and it has been giving me mild dull sinus/headaches for the past few weeks which is something that has happened before in my life. But I'm getting these popping sounds in my right ear every once and a while, almost like pressure adjusting or whatever. Kinda worried.
