Only played Vice City and Need for Speed Most Wanted out of those series.
They also added the possibility of bases collapsing in on themselves because of water pressure if you don't reinforce them enough.

I can't stand water in games. Idk why it just scares me. I guess because I feel powerful on land but weak in water but it's more than that. I did see some horro game on steam that takes place way underwater. Just imagining that game makes me shudder.

yea i played mostly vice city, and alittle san andreas, and just need for speed underground, never played most wanted
me and 1 of my buddies both have an irrational fear of stuff in water, like in a lake or something there could be something sunk just under the surface of the water, even if we know exactly what it is we wont go near it

SOMA is the one where you end up being a human's mind in a robotic body and is less about the whole "underwater" thing.
Narcosis is about an underwater base that flooded and everyone either died or evacuated except for you, you're stuck in a diving suit. At the end you learn someone took the last escape just before you got there so you just kinda... sit there until drown. Bit anticlimactic
I really enjoyed Most Wanted, a lot of people say it's a good Need for Speed too. Didn't like Vice City as much because there was no swimming. Then again, I liked Assassin's Creed so who am I to talk about taste.

It wasn't a very good game either, had a bunch of cheap jumpscares and it really hinged on you being scared of the underwater to be scary.
I don't remember much of it because it was such a long time ago, but I recall it being the only racing game I ever really played for more than a day.
