I think Dexter (the character)is the best well written of all time really detailed, and Michael C Hall is an excellent actor fit perfectly to the character.
Too bad the final seasons ware so poorly structured and not based in the actual books of the series.

Just watched all current episodes and I agree completely. other than the editing for adverts, it's great.

So depressing.

I literally thought that Dexter ended after Season 7. Where his sister kills LaGuerta to cover up Dexter's murders. I thought it was the best ending ever and the best show ever.

But then my girlfriend told me that there was another season, so we watched that. Man, that was depressing. Dexter lost everyone and everything he cared about, even his own son. And then at the end, he becomes a lumberjack? In the middle of nowhere?

So sad. But if you look at it scientifically, there is no other way for the show to end. Dexter will keep doing what he does and putting everyone around him in danger.

The best series, I think though. Was "Lost" the first time through (for some reason it has no rewatch value though).

The 2nd best series is Walking Dead up to the season where they leave Alexandria. It becomes shit after that.

And Dexter until season 7.

There were a few good seeds thrown in with season 6 and season 7. In terms of characters like doomsday and I thought Sirko was well written. The fact that those interactions came after season 4 as well as how royally they fucked up so much with everything else in these seasons makes some people forget There was some good in those seasons. Also fuck Hannah and season 8.
