Reccing this guy
I can't check out the new album right now because I'm sick as fuck but when I feel better I'll give it a listen

about halfway through this and it's good

It was hard to listen. Usually music has a hook. This got dull.

It's probably the closest anyone has come to blending hip-hop and noisecore

The vinyl crackle gimmick got old very fast but the cringy backstory was the winner.

alt rock?
more like shit nin

To each their own. Thanks for checking it out either way.

alt rap?
if it means not entertaining rap then yes you nailed it.

intro was ok rest was uninteresting

that doesn't really make it any better.

it's like giving a medal to a turd for blending all the food together.

you could say that about literally any album that crosses genres

1in10.bandcamp.com/track/amour-de-soi

90-91' techno/80's swedish electronic pop intros edited longer with movie/zen tao quotes

those vocals on the alt-rap have no variety to the way they're mixed. needs more panning. and the flow is just eminem. and the melody doesnt match the vocals at all.

not really.
you could say that about the shit albums that do that.
but my point was that the album was dull.
it has nothing to do with the genre.
any genre can be interesting.

nice sounds and beats. names of tracks are bit of a meme.

Hall of fame and shame

The new XXXTentacion album was fucking painful, thankfully yours cured my cancer the other one gave
>when you're black but you like the Gerogerigegege
The production is beyond this world, my only complaint is the edginess of the lyrics and titles. Good industrial hip-hop either way
When it comes to HNW, I look for these in the music:
>isolates the listener
>static enough not to distract
>tone/mixing
It doesn't sound that well, it's muddy, not really crunchy, lots of upper-mid frequencies but not enough bass, lo-fi cassette noise. It sounds big however and does a good job in isolating.

FÁRADT A HEGY

Exactly - you're worse than plebs. Congrats. That's a new dimension of fucking up

You didn't really get what he said

best ITT, best rapper ever

hmm this really seams like genuine feedback from multiple different users who like your stuff.

u just jealous

Alright, so I listened to the whole thing
It's good, but the vinyl noises can be a bit too much after a while, and they sound pretty fake at times when the loops have tons of effects on them, but the vinyl noises don't. I don't like the short length of the tracks either, and how abruptly the tracks end. You did this loopy thingy much better on Seasongs

I understand

beats are ok.
lyrics are cringy even if sarcasm which i doubt they are.

Writing your bio in third person makes you seem like a douche.

Ok tracks tho

dogproblems.bandcamp.com/album/waster

I used to post here under the name "western high". this album was made with summer in mind.

>bedroom pop
>indie pop
>Mac demarco, teen suicide, car seat headrest influences

RECS

I doubt that even your mom listens to your tracks

jeffleon.bandcamp.com/track/we-are-eternal
Post-classical, ambient, lots of instruments

yeah the vinyl crackle effect is so dull and stupid. sounds like its trying really hard to sound like the caretaker who i know is into the whole fake, uncanny thing. referencial of a fake idealized version of a reinvented past. but this doesnt even leave in any room for that. are you even using record players? its sounds like you took samples in a daw looped them put in a sample or vinyl crack on top of them. the uneffectedness of the crackless with the extreme efectedness of the crackles feels so fake and jarring. so even as backpambient "chillout" music it fails.

has its charm. like the visuals.

yames.bandcamp.com

watery ambient, hypnagogic easy listening, fun textures

>mixtape opens with a song with the only lyrics: "fried chicken nigga kool aid watermelon"
>album cover has emojis and says "litest album of 2k17" -everyone
take a wild guess if its satirical or not

ok.
nice paintings

satirical in the level of fart jokes yes.

This is extremely nice if not for it being very, very new age-y and blissful.

That's actually quite nice. Would have to find a better time for such sound but the few bits I've heard are extremely decent and the cover art is just gorgeous. DL'd for a future listen for sure!

I do have two record players, yes. Most of the samples were taken from the cassette tapes and put through the series of effects in DAW. And, indeed, the vinyl noises are not fake; I made some of the recordings of their sound back in the winter and I utilized them in this release. My goal with this release was to utilize a story within a vintage concept. Therefore, since I am a fan of his works under his aliases, I've decided to use techniques and sounds which are attributed to The Caretaker sound. More of as a tribute than trying desperately to be him. If it feels fake, dull or stupid for you - totally fine. To each their own. I wanted to do a thing and if people doesn't like it - that's totally fine.
