JOSIE'S ON A VACATION FAR AWAY

EXTRA THINCCC

98% of music released in the 80's is some of the worst music ever created. The only great shit to come from that decade is New Order and They Might Be Giants.

The best 80s albums are the ones closest to the end of that horrible decade. So close. You can almost hear the 90s in it.

boy that emoji sure is THICC

80's music sucked ass. all them used those horrible drum machines and cheesy synthesizers

the only thing good to come out of the 80s was the cure and the smiths you have 10 seconds to prove me wrong

the only good things to come from the 80s were the early 80s that still sounded like 70s music and late 80s that sounded like proto-90s music

All you people that are saying 90s music sounds good have absolutely no taste. The 90s was host to the most generic, watered down, boring music ever created.

The Replacements
Pixies
Beastie Boys
Talking Heads
Most seminal late 70's bands released their best work in the 80's

lmao if you people actually think that the 80's were bad maybe reddit would be the better choice for you

Only if you're American.

Yeah, U2 did their best work in the 90s. You're right.

ironic because reddit is precisely the place full of people masturbating over banal 80s revivalism trash like synthwave and vaporwave.

Well that's debatable. I personally think they peaked in the mid-80s.

Besides, while Achtung Baby was quite good and Zooropa had it's moments, their Pop album was a disaster.

u2 were always shit.

80s/Synthwave comeback when? Its around the corner, I can feel it.

I'm a sucker for cheesy 80s shit but fuck vaporwave and synthwave. It's so bland.

Are you fucking kidding?
There's already a synthwave scene that's 1 million horrible bands and a handful of great artists.

What the 60s was for rock music the 90s was for electronic music (respectable mainstream, enormous and experimental underground).

The 10s for electronic music are what the 80s were for rock music (atrocious mainstream, still decent underground but unfortunately dominated by trends).
