I'm interested in more female punk albums. Something about a woman's voice with the genre makes it sound pretty cool

the slit's

Patti Smith - Horses is the only one I can think of that's worth a damn and it's barely "punk". The rest of the genre is just dykecore squealing garbage
>inb4 sleater-kinney
absolutely atrocious vocals

That's a great album OP

X, Slits, UT, X-Ray Spex, Shonen Knife, The Shaggs, Cat Power, Giant Drag, Mary Lou Lord, Avril Lavigne

Do people only know this album through Kurt Cobain?

Avril never had a good album. If you like pop just listen to her early acoustic versions from 2002-2004.

AGSFB

was cool as of last thursday

>knows Horses and Sleater-Kinney
>"I know the entire female punk genre"

Screaming Females. Start with 'What if some is watching their TV?'

Not very punk, but also check out Hop Along. Amazing female vocalist.

not punk. also female vocals are shit.

>Strong female vocals cause fear in a lot of insecure men because it reminds them of their personal weaknesses. For whatever reason, they feel put on the defensive--maybe "angry" girl voices remind them of past trauma?--and this causes a revulsion in them. This is especially triggering to incels or similar males who have difficulty interacting with women; these types of people are significantly more likely to prefer male vocals.[5][6]

Die Kosmo Gesellschaft

>Picture me broken
>Damone
>Eyes Set To Kill
>Die mannequin

Sad that threads like this die so fast while e-celeb shit and the same crap again and again reach the +300.
Also heavens to betsy is good.

Female punk is just women larping as men.

Savages is pretty great, English post-punk with female singer

that's bc most of this board would rather gossip about celebs and troll than actually talk about/discover music

Try Pylon, pretty intensive vocals

I really like Corin's vocals.

>Pulsallama
They only released few singles around 1983. Very fun Dance-Punk band.
