Best horror movies?... i would say god tier but there aren't any, so just horror movies Sup Forums enjoys

>bc its friday 13 and October

I'm American so the scariest movie I've ever seen was "Super Size Me"

Korean language
A Tale of Two Sisters

Also. Asian horror is way better.

the grifter

Isn't that just a pasta tho

Rotten tomatoes calls this one a real shit heap but i think it's fun.

this. also, audition

French but good.

@747990423
All scary movies are the same and predictable. But the last one I remember watching was one with an old man shoving a shitty diaper in a kids face

That's good. I'm glad you can post a reply to OP.

You mean The Visit? That was more comedy than horror

@747991768
Probably. I don't remember it being good

@747991675
Fuck off back to waterford you cunt

Get the fuck out of here you newfag piece of shit.

...

@747991969
How does it feel that your only accomplishment was being on a website a lot

This.

forreal?

dogshit film

Meh......It Follows was watchable at best. The entire premise was a bit dumb and the monster would be easily trapped and negated in real life.

...

>the monster would be easily trapped and negated in real life
I don't think you understand how the monster works.

This also. Although its a japanese film.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre hasn't aged incredibly well, but it is an amazing horror film when it breaks down.

The first appearance of Leatherface is probably the best introduction to your monster/killer in any horror movie.

they got it into the pool easily enough

It Follows just breaks its own rules throughout the movie, it got so hyped up by so many people, and it had some really interesting concepts that just weren't executed as well as everyone thought

The monster doesn't understand how the monster works....they change the rules arbitrarily throughout the movie.

true.
good concepts, really well shot and designed, poor as fuck execution.
at some point in the middle you start to think 'you kids deserve to die, the monster's being more than fair and you're just being retarded'

Not really horror, but on the theme of Korean gold Oldboy is super fucked up and good.

Therefore the monster is only as strong as plot.

Under the Skin

Sexual assault, toddler left to die, woman skinned alive ....

Freddy Versus Jason if you want a kek.
Event Horizon is pretty decent.

The original exorcist. I still get hard when she grabs that dudes balls

The omen

LMAO, my wife and I went on our first date to this shitshow... holy fuck, now I feel real old

Yeah I agree, it tried to revolutionize this genre and how the no string attached sex mentality that teenagers seem to have and the consequences of it but it just didn't go over as well as I thought it would.

Freddy VS Jason on a first date? Dear lord, what'd you watch on the second? The Room?

I really liked Event Horizon.

Yeah Freddy vs. Jason is alright for a mindless slasher but if anyone wants a good Friday the 13th film today Friday the 13th Part 2 is probably the best.

Nah, second date we roleplayed the movie, (i played Freddy lol)

I mean... I wouldn't call "oh and by the way, Freddy can now do the Jedi thing in a dream, did we not mention that before" mindless. It was downright comical.
But yeah. Not so good for being scared.

Yeah, but it still isn't the weakest film in either of the two franchises. I just like how it spawned this idea of "Oh now every sort of similar slasher series is going to have a crossover!"

Yeah, crossovers are the best (even if they're the worst).

Tons of people wanted a Child's Play Leprechaun crossover

Train to Busan makes zombies interesting and tense, that's not nothing.

I've only heard of Leprechaun from the internet, but I'd watch the shit out of that. That sounds amazing.

please be joking you no taste having worthless cuck, the visit sucked

I'd watch it too, it wouldn't be worse than Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys

shit tier movie

Would still be better than that crappy movie about the ventriloquist doll.

Babadook. Has an actual plot.

Boring

Give me one legitimate reason why this movie is "shit tier".

Dead Silence?

I honestly think that is also overrated, the metaphor for mental illness is appreciated though

You are wrong, but I will fight for your right to have your wrong opinion.

No god tier horror movies?

If you ask Stephen King they ruined his book

This guy gets it.

Small B movie. I really like it.

And when stephen king made his own adaption it was shit

You mean the miniseries? It was decent, not god tier but it was true to the book and was good.

No order, just off the top of my head:

Cabin in the Woods
Evil Dead (all movies and seasons)
Halloween 1&2 (originals, must watch back to back)
Shining (all time favorite)
It (Dont care, I like both)
Jason goes to hell (not really good, but enjoyable)
Susperia
Audition
Saw (just the first, dont bother with the others)
Wolf Creek
Last house on the left (the original)
Hills have eyes (I like the remake more)
Return of the living dead

FUCKING RE-ANIMATOR

Thats all i can think of, but im at work and dont have time to think them all out
