i dig them but i have to be in a very particular mood. these days it can be tough for me to find the appeal in straightforward hardcore. i'd much rather listen to some of the more dynamic variants of punk, but minor threat are possibly the peak of their style.

They're hardcore punk, and more punk than most bands at that time by rebelling against the common punk kid who got fucked up all the time and was riddled with stds.
Its a good album with poorly made music. The idea and attitude behind it fully drives this album to be a classic in the punk scene. Just like any hardcore/punk album.
