In two days I go on my first trip to Thailand with my family. While it's mostly to visit relatives, we'll also be there for a month's time which I think gives me ample opportunity to try mushroom shakes and pick up prescription drugs from pharmacies that don't look twice.
So, two questions. Where can I expect to be able to find magic mushroom shakes in BKK and how difficult is it to get out a month's supply of xanax through their airport?
First of all you will need to go to a doctor and they will write a prescribtion if you give them money. Then you'll get the medicine. My ex friend brought in lot of Kamagra which is Viagra in west and at least he didn't have any issues back then. However be prepared to face corruption or scamming attempts from authorities or actually everyone.

I've read that I'll have to troll around at various pharmacies to find one that're less strict on their definition of "prescription only", though with what someone earlier said I think I can skip that by dropping some baht at a hospital for a prescription.
It’s easier to just go to Khao San Rd. That’s where all the black market diplomas and shit are sold. They have Xanax and Diazepam there too.
I was hoping to minimize the chances of getting mismarked/generic/trash by going through pharmacies but, I was indeed keeping an eye there.
Just make sure you look at the blister packets, not just the box. I never had a problem.

I took it back. The airport in Thailand won’t give a fuck if it’s just pills. Not sure how they feel in the states, but if just a 30 day supply, I can’t see what they can do. Say you got it from a Thai dr and you don’t have the paperwork anymore.

Well, it's not that I've got an intent to sell, it's this way I'm killing two birds with one stone.
I'm broke and my insurance in the states is utter shit, so I figure I can get xanax for cheap in Thailand while I visit my ailing grandpapa

I went to Thailand a few years ago. From my travels and stories other travellers tell, I'd say look around near the river in Kanchanaburi. There are a few places that have "magic pizza".
The other places talked about was along the Mekong river in Vietnam. There's a travel forum called "Thorntree" by Lonely Planet, if it's still online I'm sure there are clues there.
Don't forget to have fun on your trip! If you get obsessed with your quest, you might miss out on things. It's best to let the journey take you on an adventure. :)
