Bump you Targaryen shits.

Gosh darn it, bump.

>listening to mallgoth "music"

>Labelling anything as "mallgoth" in 2017
2012 called, they want their meme shit back.

Disintegration is definitely better. I think people just say pornography because it's not the most popular choice, but disintegration is just a fucking journey through and through. What an absolute must piece. Pornography just doesn't have the emotional value that Disintegration has for me

KMKMKM

Or maybe because Pornography is one of their few truly dark albums and Disintegration is just less good Cocteau Twins.

I feel they were more seasoned musicians by the time they made Disintegration and had an easier time stringing together an album that stuck closer to their intentions .

Dark isn't a virtue in and of itself and Seventeen Seconds is just as dark, anyway.

Disintegration > Faith >>> Pornography

Dark is a virtue when you're listening to fucking goth rock. lmao

You might want to reconsider what you just said ant take it back.

The Head on the Door. It contains the greatest song of all time, Inbetween Days

Why would I do that? The Cure are successful as a gloomy goth rock band. Their attempts at incorporating ethereal lavishness on Disintegration or pop rock on their other albums fall flat and aren't as effective as they are on Pornography. They thrive on darkness.

bro their best songs are their pop songs. Inbetween Days, Just Like Heaven, Friday I'm in Love, Lovesong, all classic

But the greatest song of all time is the title track on Disintegration

pretty much

disintergration is objectively better, i love pornography and the other early albums but only a contrarian would argue pornography is "better"

you can prefer it but you have to admit disintergration is the superior album

disint

Disintegration is an actual album. Pornography is just a bunch of songs.

kiss me is the best cure album.

Pornography >>> Faith > Disintegration

everything that came before Disintegration is better. no offence, boy.

You really think Japanese Whispers is better?

pornography is much better on average, it's actually rock instead of being goopy dream pap

>a fucking journey

no it's not

you're just saying that because it has a grandiose intro and outro, but everything in-between is just boring mumblewhine

nah, hadn't even heard of it. I don't care enough about the cure to listen to a singles album. Faith, Pornography and The Head on the Door are the only ones I play.

You don't like Seventeen Seconds?

Disintegration
was more comfortable with himself by then

>I don't care enough about the cure to listen to a singles album
but Staring at the Sea is their best record user
you're doing yourself a disservice

Trick question: The Cure fucking suck

Disintegration is the better album but Hanging Garden is the best song on either

Disintegration
Both are very good though
Absolutely disgusting opinion

Disintegration is actually a circular concept album - telling the story of finding and losing love.
>Plainsong: Introduces the mood of the album, not part of the cycle/theme
>Pictures of You: Reminiscing about an ex-lover, and how beautiful and amazing they were
>Closedown: Feeling empty and lost; tfw no gf
>Love Song: Finding another love and falling head-over-heels-in-love with them. This person makes the protagonist forget all the issues outlined in the preceding songs
>Last Dance: The relationship is deepening and the protagonist is overthinking it and becomes apprehensive about fullly committing
>Lullaby: Not part of the theme, just a good song
>Fascination Street: Their relationship is getting stale and the protagonist sees that it will end and begins to feel miserable about it. They go nightclubbing together as a means to rekindle their spark, but sees it all as a sham and resents being there
>Prayers for Rain: Feels trapped in the relationship, and the protagonist is negatively affected by how his lover is acting
>The Same Deep Water as You: Sees the relationship coming to an end, and notes that he is just as bad as he is imagining his lover to be, but ultimately wishes for true love/devotion
>Disintegration: Comes to terms with the ending of his relationship and misses the initial thrill of being in a relationship; wishes that the initial feelings could have continued all throughout. He doesn't feel deserving of a relationship due to personal issues, and decides to leave his lover, leaving this person with all they made and did together. Due to his personal issues, he notes that this is how all his relationships end - how the end always is
>Homesick: He feels utterly hopeless and wants closure, and desires the warmth and love he had while in a relationship, which inspires him to keep on living - to not 'go home'
>Untitled: Reminisces about all the things he should have said to his lover, all that he should have done and said
>Back to "Pictures of You"

Pornography. I won't even read contradictory opinions. You're just wrong. Pornography is a perfect album, start to finish.

The Spiderman is having me for dinner tonight.

Faith > Pornography > Disintegration

Disintegration has their best song on it and is very cohesive as an album but it has filler. As an entire album the other two are better. All are very close together in terms of quality though imo.

Some astonishingly bad opinions ITT

About 45% filler.

Is it weird that I love Pornography and Disintegration, but really dislike that album?

The Head on the Door is too poppy unlike the albums that came before.

Fucking The Top is even less poppy.

Indeed, i see disintegration as an immersive experience.
i can relate the plebs that find this album boring to the same fags that complain about dunkirk being boring.

Dunkirk wasn't boring, I just felt somewhat disinterested in what was happening since I didn't feel connected to any of the characters. Every character in a Christopher Nolan movie has to be a boring sterilized robot who only speaks in exposition and melodramatic speeches.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF WE ALL DIE

Pornography might be their best song but Disintegration is their best album as a single cohesive work

Pornography is more important musically than Disintegration though

>must piece
Clever bait

>The Top

>tfw only Cure fan in the world who really loves Wish

The top has robert's best voice.

This is correct

I love wish too, bloodflower's good2. but the real fight's between Porn and Disintegrator.

Pornography is a completely perfect album. All amazing songs with no bad moments and the length of the album is just right. Honestly don't know how many times I've listened to pornography, its that good I never get bored of it. Disintegration is also one of my favourite albums of all time, but pornography just takes me to a different place to be honest.

YEEEES, i feel like that song is so underrated. It's fucking perfect.

Those are some mighty big holes ya got there.

I like Head on the Door the best. Especially when I swap out Close to Me for its single version.

17 seconds is the best cure album Imo
