How smart are you, Sup Forums?

/thread

oh, you need us to help you with your homework, how cute.

...

I wont solve your math homework user
38+46+22=106
180-106=74

74+38=112
180-112=x

this is like 5th grade math, you are clearly too young to post on Sup Forums

kek

>666
holy shit it's satan

damn you're a retard

satan needs help with his homework

...

...

112 is not x.
74 is just the upper part of the top right angle.

X is on a journey to find itself.

There is not enough info to solve it

you cant solve a triangle by only knowing one angle

If only i payed attention in math but ill take a guess and say 24

yup

same guess, but I need an answer

Prove it.

Not smart at all, evidently. No one has solved it.

y = 56
x = 12

y = )42 ; 68(
x = )0 ; 26(

y=180-64-48

The starting values are wrong. A quadrilateral's interior angles would sum to 360, but this one sums to 360+x.

What

It's almost as if I have to make a bot that replies to threads with a picture that gets often posted.

Use a system of equations with the triangle and the quad.

...

x=34 and btw so does y.

Not smart enough for this.

180-(48+64)= 68 now you have 2

180-(48+68)= 64
x = 64

fuck forgot x

I figured it out. X=18.
Solution is as follows
I let the bottom line segment equal 1, since the given angles do not restrict the size of the shape. I divided the cross in the middle of the shape into 4 line segments a,b,c,d. I called the line touching x on it's left a, and b,c,d are the rest of the line segments going clockwise. I called e the line segment on the right of the entire shape, touching x on its right side. I solved for all the angles as possible without equations as some other user has already done. Now the trig follows.
a=(sin48)/(sin68)
b=(sin64)/(sin68)
c=(sin64 x sin22)/(sin68 x sin46)
d=(sin64 x sin22 x sin38)/(sin68 x sin46 x sin74)
e^2=a^2 +d^2 -2adcos112
X=arcsin((d/e) x sin112)
X=18 exactly.
There must be some clever way to draw triangles to get the result

that's how far I got... next step?

Who gives a shit about obscure math problems? Literally no adults who aren't mathematicians remember this shit. You insecure highschoolers are faggots.

42

You would be the worst teacher, regardless of whether you're right, which I doubt.

It's 20 faggots. Lmk when you want it explained

Engineers. You spaz. You're one of those folks who says stuff like "why have I got to learn a foreign language".

>Engineers. You spaz.
I think you took my "literally" too literally.

>You're one of those folks who says stuff like "why have I got to learn a foreign language".
Of course I am. I'm American. There's no need for me to spend time learning some language other than English. That requires a lot of investment. Why do you think I should undergo this effort?

Stop memeing this jew

faaaaaaaakeee

Math checks out

This

Explain then fgt

x+(x+64)+134=180 ?
x=0

you can't explain it dumbass

...

...

Trust me I’m an engineer

yallmst would know if you just watched rick and morty

21 degrees

It's 38 degrees.

Are you literally retarded. See

sorry i'm off duty

Instead of posting random numerals, post how you got the answer you dumb faggot.

Fucking triangles!

How do they work?

about 20.3 degree

32, anyone want me to explain it?

Assuming the upper angle is Y then it's values that satisfy:

68 degrees = X + Y

This is using external tools, but it is correct and satisfies the equation.

However, if I were grading this test with the info as given and the student put down:

X=Y-68

I'd pass it.

This is all that can be worked out

No Its 34

No, it doesn't

No Its 34 dumbas

Never become a teacher, then.

>Confirmed for never having taken a college math class.

If you've never answered a math problem in the form of an equation then you've never taken anything above algebra.

that's where i'm at

middle bottom triangle is wrong, angles add up to 190

That's not it, dumbass, it's that your answer is wrong. There is only one correct value for x.

Don't know the english expressions, but 4 angles=360° which means u just have to take the total of what u already have

...

>Gives answer as equation
>other user uses software to model it
>Software verifies
>values all check out

Do you even know how addition works?

Your equation implies that x has a range of possible values from 0 to 68, which is wrong.

Isn't it just 22, I'm just guessing?

19 well i get it to 18.5 but 19 will do

This is the correct answer. I cba to check his math, but the answer fits at least 2 triangles. x+y=68
According to the pic posted by

>Satans mind
>How to start a flame war

>Watches the world burn

Hmm, opposite angles = 180
Angles in a triangle = 180

Top right angles are 74, and (180-(22+48+74)) = 36

Therefore x = 180-(38+36+74)
= 32?

found it
also checked

>I cba
You "cba?" Don't fucking invent your own acronyms, or use obscure ones. Fucking asshat.

Cba stands for "Can't be arsed."

wrong

"can't be assed"

you really couldn't figure that out, shitwipe?

...

Is this what you wanted?

You need more than opposite angles and the sum of a triangle = 180 to solve this.

You actually need to use sin and cos to work out some lengths, and then work out the missing angles using the known angles and the lengths you calculated.

X turns out to be 18 and Y turns out to be 50.

Congrats, you're the only one here to have used the trig functions, and correctly too.

error estimation ∓ 2 pixels gives a range between 20.8 and 19.7 degree.

that's why you'll never be given student's tests to grade

If x is 32 it seems to satisfy all other angles, though.

Might be hard to follow, but here's I found some of the angles.

But x is not 32.
If it were then the angle it made with the 64 next to it, would be 96. Greater than a right angle.

And it clearly isn't. It's less than a 90 degree angle.

So, you're wrong. Okay? You're just wrong.

wait a minute.

even with varying length of 360 there is no chance of 18 degree. tf

cant i get credit with 18.5?, fill in available angles, use sine to find lengths, use cosines to find x.
no fancy computer program just calculator and pen.
mech engineer not done any math in 15 years other than converting ftlbs to nm.

:)

Depends if the grade depends on your accuracy with graph paper and rulers, OR IS IT MATHS?

Because if it's maths, 18 is the right answer, it requires trigonometry, and you've shown exactly zero work in the trig functions. So no partial credit for you.

obviously 53

for the y angle and 15 for x

well I got x+y=68 and I'm not fucked to start calculating side lengths so heave fun Sup Forums.
