Hi Sup Forums

Hi Sup Forums,
I recently lost my job and have been on a food budget of around 15$ a week. I am US and what I have been buying is nothing but ramen and oatmeal. The only problem with this is I have been getting sick and I am pretty sure its from my extreme diet. My question is, what can I buy for the cheapest price possible to last me the longest and keep me (somewhat) healthy? I wont be able to spend any more than 15$ a week otherwise I wont be able to afford rent long enough for me to find another job. Pic Unrelated.

You could try to find a cheap multivitamin so you're getting some kind of nutrition maybe?

Good point, that might help some, but I would have to see how long those last. hopefully with my cooking skill I can find a better alternative to what im currently eating.

>beans
>rice
>peanut butter
>tuna
>discounted meat
>bananas

subscribe to soylent for i think like 30$ a month or so. look more into it if your skeptical. i'm only telling you cause i know the struggle user.

This! And no chance of increasing your monthly budget? Some small job in delivery, selling stuff on etsy, freelancing online, selling pictures of your body if you are remotely attractive...

Looks like its going to barely fit my budget if I buy it. roughly 2$ a day. Since I don't have the money to waste over it ill have to look more into it, but im praying this works for me if I go with this.

I am applying and looking for jobs at the moment, but because I live in socal my rent is 600$ flat. everything else I can cut out, but I dont want to be homeless again. I would honestly do anything to increase my budget, but I am not sure where to start. I am male, and average but not attractive enough. I have considered cam modelling, but I don't know where to get started with that, and I don't know of any other ways to make money online. Delivery or driving jobs wont work because I currently dont have a car, but any ideas are helpful.

soylent boy here.
describe your physical build op ,

Currently I have This much in both of my accounts. Rent is due on the 1st of next month, and that will take away 600$. I think it will take roughly a month to find a job, and since this month is half over that leaves me with needing to make 400$ in two weeks to compensate for what im deficit in order to pay rent on time. I have enough virtual items to sell to make that 400 if I make 300 with one job in that time.

Do you know a trade/skill/craft? What was your former job?

look into the video of the maker soylent. he used the pwder and drank water for 30 days or something with no sign of poor health

Can you buy a large bag of rice? Then get assorted other random shit to supplement like eggs or some other cheap protein source.

Otherwise you should find a way to make cash on the internet. Camwhore or maybe use fiver if that's still a thing. Or get a part time job. Perhaps volunteer for research stuff. Donate sperm. That's all I can think of off the top of my head but there are plenty of ways to make extra cash.

This is me, I have lost 20 pounds since that photo putting me at 6'0 and 190 lbs. I have lost muscle mass because working out makes me eat more, so I had to stop it temporarily.

I am bilingual (spanish) , and I have a very extensive background with hobby programming and game development. I have no gaps in my resume since I was 16, and I am a good cook.

Wishing you all the best OP.
What about pulses and grains. Like a packet lentil split pea soup. And while not that tasty even buying a couple of fresh carrots, mushrooms or beans is still cheap could help with vitamins.

considering camwhoring, to be honest. I am not huge but im big enough that if I lose some more weight, I think I would look good on camera. And considering my situation, I think losing weight will be easy lol. I will look into fiverr to see if I can use my shitty drawfag skills to commission, and im applying all over for jobs, so wish me the best of luck in that, because that is the important thing. I will google research stuff tomorrow, ill mark it on my calendar now.

This. Couple years ago I signed on with a medical testing group. Nothing dodgy, all above board.
Had a four night stay in a ward being constantly monitored, feed etc.
Walked out with a check for $3000.

Have just been accepted for another study in two weeks time. Try it OP. Its easy money and they're usually keen to sign you up because most people don't even consider it or can't make overnight commitments.

Eat some fruit if you can. Even if its just one piece every second day.
Go for high in vitamin C
> orange
> kiwi
> grapefruit

Gotcha. I am going to find out any local ones I can apply for. Anything is better than nothing at this point and I do have a few things that qualify me for studies of mental health. Fruit is cheap, ill see if I can replace a couple meals with fruit if i can. That might be what im missing.
I have considered buying a large bag of pinto beans and cooking those.

This is a waste of time.

Use that money on protein. Peanut butter is best if you can't cook. Otherwise buy an entire chicken.

IT'S PEOPLE!

I wish.

Anyways, ill leave this thread open in case any more ideas and options pop up, but I need to lie down and take a nap. Thanks for everyone's advice, and ill use the foods you suggested to make a list, and compare my spending to that of the soylent guy.

Nigger if your near Harrisburg I'll take you to the casino buffett free

I can cook very well, I was a cook in training at my last job, so ill be able to cook anything I need to. That being said, cooking =/= nutrition, so im pretty sure that im currently fucking up my body, because I dont think anyone should be losing 20 pounds in less than a month, and its had bad effects on my health.

>Harrisburg
Much appreciated, but im in socal.

You should take multi vitamin pills.

Is there any kind of soup kitchen or food bank nearby that provides free food for the needy?

>
I think his idea with the protein is best, however I called up a friend and he had an extra jar of gummmy vitamins, so ill be taking that over the next few weeks bi-daily to see a hopeful improvement there.

There is one in my local city, I just googled it. I will need to get a friend of mine to drive me there, but that might be an option. what is the limitation on who they care for? I have only been unemployed for a short while, so im not sure if I qualify for that. I am going to lurk on my laptop until I go to sleep, so if I don't respond that's why

Each one varies but they tend to be generous to those in need.

Your popoluation lacks food culture. And by that I don't mean that there is no typical food or good food, what I mean is that you don't know how to cook. If you buy ready to eat food, or microwave shit, that is not healthy. Buy fresh meat, buy pasta, buy vegetables and eggs, in short buy things you can cook. Sure it takes time, but it's worth it. Ramen like what the fuck is that jesus.

tl;dr learn to cook you lazy faggot

Alright, im going to sign up for chatrubate tonight. dubs decides my username.

Also, I am (err, was) a cook fyi. Ramen can be purchased for 20 cents a package in bulk, and makes me one meal. Oats when purchased in bulk make for a good breakfast thing. I am not saying that my current diet is good for me, but im not exactly buying mcdonalds every day. You also must be an idiot, because buying 1lb of any meat fresh locally, would be a third of my spending budget. I get that this is a troll, but goddamn man, you got me.
