Giles Corey as well. Perfect for October

Neutral Milk Hotel has always been an autumn band for me, too

Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished comes to mind. Like NMH, it has this nostalgic, wounded vibe, of change and longing for a reconnection with innocence, all of which are very autumn to me

There's a great shoegaze-ambient album called "October Language" by the band Belong that I'd recommend

Seconding this, as well as other Godspeed, and "He Has Left Us Alone..." by A Silver Mt. Zion. It is their album that is most like Godspeed, imo

'The Caretaker- An empty bliss beyond this world' has a haunting vibe suitable for the fall

I've only listened to Swans' newer albums, but they have a very autumn vibe

"Never Were the Way She Was" by Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld is very, very autumn. Melancholic sax and violins that range from beautiful to extremely pained. Sounds like the trees all changing their leaves and dying

Those are the best ones that I can think of at the moment

September Come Take This Heart Away

:(

american football

Yo La Tengo is my favourite fall band

Not a chance you get away with calling this album patrician

I can't explain it but I kinda feel it y'know?

That's last week of summer, not autumn

...

why is this album so paraded? their early more hardcore shit is objectively better.

it feels autumn to me, i used to listen to it a lot during the winter too

Autumn is when I generally listen to more upbeat party music, it's the only time I truly feel like celebrating being alive.

Spring - Fuck that it's too muggy
Summer- Fuck that it's too hot
Winter - Fuck that it's too cold
Fall - Temperature perfection, and the wind is my muse

Autumn-core is objectively the comfiest music.
I like winter-core albums as well, but autumn is best.

Ah yes, finally someone else who realizes how terrible every non-fall season is.

>nobody made a The Fall pun yet

Neutral Milk Hotel just makes me think of dried pears meaning it's Autumn as fuck.

The ESSENTIAL autumn album, it's so warm.

their early stuff is also autumn

This will always be correct. Add still life, damnation, and hearse
