The foreigner's thread

The foreigner's thread.

Ask any question and try to find out what country I'm writing from.

My English level is not so high, so punish me for any mistakes, then I can get a lot of experience.

Pic is a view from my window.

Btw, first time on 4ch.
There is a difference between 4ch and my country's most popular imageboard - you guys post much more nudes.

Haven't take off. Fuck it then.

Do you live in a big city?
What is your religion?
How many languages do you speak?

Pic reminds me of Croatia. Am I right? Or close?

View from window looks like Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan maybe

Yeah, you're really close

If only we knew where or what Croatia was

Russia

Yes, I live in one of the biggest in my country.
I don't confess any religion, atheism included.
I speak two.

czech republic

OP are you in Minsk, Belarus?

Yeah
I was hoping it would take you longer

Guess my city then

Kazakstan

It could be any country from ex-USSR

What do you mean by you don't confess any religion? Doesn't make sense

Are those languages English and Russian? Or English and Romanian?

Is it post-socialistic country from eatern block?

If only we knew what the USSR was/is

OP confirms he's in Russia, in one of the largest cities in his country.

Are you in western Russia or the Urals?

Union of Soviet Socialistic Republics, or CCCP in Russian, it included many countries like Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan etc.

Oh yeah, you've got reCaptcha here, so cool
On 2ch, russian biggest imageboard, we're still write fucking numbers.

Don't worry I'm studying it

Western part. After Urals goes only deadzone with forests, Chineses and Vladivostok at the very end.

It should be 'we still write'

Can you imagine what a 2ch meet up would look like? Yikes.

Your English is getting there, it's still very Eastern European though.

Why it doesn't make sence? I can confess anything I want or don't confess anything at all.
(maybe I use wrong word or something, my English far from perfect)

First

Thanks

Does your city have many foreigners living in it?
Whats its biggest industry?
Is it on a river or sea?

I think a native English speaker would say they don't 'follow' any specific religion.

Yeah the use of confess doesn't make sense. I can see where you were coming from with confess, because that means to admit, but you are looking for a term which states your stance on something. Example.

>I don't believe in Religion
>I'd prefer not to disclose my religous beliefs
>Fuck off you little prick no I son't need a TV license
>No I'm not a pedophile, thanks.
>I've never tried to fly a rug, thanks
>I have literally no money, thanks

I hope this helps Rusbro.

t. stoned english man

I think you're just using it slightly wrong. You would say
'I won't confess my religion'
using the word 'dont' makes it a continuous action (meaning it happens often).

Also, confess means that you're guilty in some way, or that you feel shame.

A better way to say it would be
'i don't want to tell you my religion'

...

Yes, we have enough of them, but we aren't the first in this regard.

I think that biggest industry is tourism, manufacturing goes second.

It's on the river and on the sea at the same time.

Thanks for that, friend :)

Yeah, you right. So, I don't follow any specific religion, atheism included.

Has your city had any recent muslim terror attacks?

In which russian republic do you live? Russia has many of them.

What is the name of your city

Depends on what do you mean under "recent"

If I say that'd be too easy.

Rostov?

Enough to say that I'm living in northern city.

>Muslim attacks recently-ish
>Sea and river
>Western part

I'd go for Piter!

Miss.

>on the river and on the sea
Saint Petersburg? You had a bombing on your metro about six months back too didn't you?

Not a problem Rusbro. I used to teach the Chinese workers English. It's not exactly a teaching degree, but close enough for Sup Forums.

>Yeah, you right. So, I don't follow any specific religion, atheism included.
> I don't follow any specific religion, atheism included

So, you are Atheist? You have no religion? Your statement was there, just didn't really pass.

Try.

>I'm not religious, I'm Atheist. Can you pass me my Fedora? I seem to have dropped it.

I'm just messing with you lol. What do you do for your Job?

I'd go for St. Petersburg, too.

Superprize to that dude.

Huh, even a year hasn't passed. I feel like it was a long time ago.

At the end, it wasn't very difficult at all.

Is Piter what an English speaker would call St Petersburg?

I've never heard that name before?

No, that exactly what I meant. I consider Atheism as the religion. (yeah, it's strange, I know)

>even a year hasn't passed
A phrase from russian :P

Piter is how russian call St. Petersburg.

Piter (Питep) is the Russian slang term for SPB.

I'm studying now, want to be a programmer.

But I can't do anything. Soon I'll be expelled from university.

Muslim atrack, not helpful clue, could be
> Stockholm
> Berlin
> Manchester
> Brussels
> Nice
> Saint Petersburg
> Hamburg
> Oulu
> Barcelona
> London
> Istanbul
> Paris
Etc etc etc
Doesn't narrow it down much lol

What programming language do you learn? Programming is not that hard.

Кypcoвyю нe oтдaл, чтo ли?

I had to give trickier answers.

Only one city is Russian in that list.

That's okay friend. It's just something which might trip up a conversation later. Best to avoid religious talks with westerners anyway.

University isn't the be all and end all, what are your other options?

Spasiba, I learnt something today.

Enjoyed your thread too OP. Took some time to get off the ground, but ended up being a fun quiz.

Not OP, but in Russia this usually means army service for a year. You're only allowed to skip that as long as you study, but being expelled tends to lead that way.

Oh wow, I didn't know that. That's pretty interesting and to be honest, explains a bit about Russia. See, I wouldn't mind such a system being in the place, in the west. That really is interesting.

Are you Russian?

In university we're learning Java, but I prefer C# + Unity, I study it myself. Programming isn't hard at all, but besides programming we have a lot shitty classes, like ecology, culturology, etc. Plus realy brainfucking math and physics. I can't say that it's unbearable to learn (phrase from Russian, I don't know if it fits), but I have to force myself everytime to do something and I can't do it all the time. So, basicly, it's all about me.

I feel like I've made a lot of mistakes here :)

Not Russian, but studied in my M.A. this year for six months in Moscow.
Met a girl there, had an affair, her boyfriend found out, but before anything could've happened, I was back in my plane, he failed his term and went straight to the barracks.

> unbearable
That works, maybe difficult, or even taxing is a better fit though

That dude is right. But I'm not really afraid of army (it's one year now, it used to be two) I'm afraid that I can't do anything that needs to do something everyday, like studying or working on project or something like that.

In my case it was the same way. I studied programming too, but failed because of all the other classes like math or physics. Ended up in learning C# all by myself. Working in a app development company now. It made me realize that no one needs studying in university :P But it's only my opinion.

I'm OP, and I even think that army can be a good experience in that case. All that discipline... But I have friend who in the army now and his stories are awful. It depends a lot from the place you'll be serving at. It can be good school of life or a nightmare.

This might be just a guess, but maybe in your time within the forces you'll find out how to motivate or force yourself to get stuff done.

Did it took a long time before you get your first job as a programmer?

I'd try to get somewhere calm, maybe at Kubinka (it counts as military service if you're there) or another rather museum-like place.

Psychotherapist said that I have problems with dophamine receptors. I hope drugs he prescribe to me will help.

Eё, poдимyю, в тoм чиcлe.

About two and half years, almost three. But it was better that studying in university, because I only learned what I needed for future, not some shit that you learn in university and you don't need at all in future life.

Learning by yourself is better because you can learn what you want and any time you want.

Yes, we had. That was April, I could write a fun story how I had nearly avoided it, but that wouldn't be truth. I exited metro about five hours before explosion. I was on my last class when we were told in the news about bomb explosion.

I had to walk all the way to the railway station (11 km) because all metro stations were closed and all on ground traffic was stuck.
