Is McLaren sandbagging?

Kimi is.

I just want to see the highligths and SKy F1 doesn't stop showing things I don't want to see

3th for VWL 2.0 Reloaded: Electric Bugaloo

Until Suzuka

FRATELLI D'ITALIA SUL CAVALLO RAMPANTE

Hamilton has the WDC wrapped up

I missed the race, was it any good?

>vettel goes on to fulfill his schumi dreams
>hamilton dies trying to keep up, fulfills his senna dreams
i can live with this future

no

THIS!
today was a learning curve and they know to pit second now

no

Hamilton didn't win, so good enough.

VER cucking HAM/10

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Stop bullying Nico.

Can't wait for mid season when he's 20+ points ahead

Anyone have that screencap of the smug animu German saying Ferrari will win 2017?

is fernando alonso kill? i heard a rumor

shut up

hes fine

Yup. He wrapped it up and gifted it to GOATtel.

kek

Guess who was right

>Ham Sports F1 still barely covering anything other than Mercedes.
The salt.

how long until he kills himself?

Bottas will finish ahead of Vettel

So the whole season is pretty much confirmed to be:

>whoever gets in front on the first lap is going to drive away to the distance

Merc and Ferrari in clean air seem to be pretty much equal. Before anyone spergs out over Hamilton's lackluster second stint, it is almost certain he was just taking it easy (as suggested by radio communication) to conserve tires, knowing he would never catch up to Vettel or never would be able to pass at least.

Realistically its going to be Hamilton vs Vettel with maybe a few cheeky Finnwins in between. Red Bull is nowhere. They might have a good car by the end but it will be a tall order to make up the deficit that they're going to suffer in the first quarter of the season

Who is sandbagging the most out of all teams?
I think it's Sauber. They are laughing at the entire field with their 2016 engines, they are teasing their rivals.

e va bene cosi ragazzi

>VETTEL WON
>Hamilel "can't pass this guy" second year in a row
>Finland sandbagging
>RB sandbagging
>Ricky died twice: smile and optimism gone for good
>NOTHING IS SOLVE
>"Honda engines"
>GIO THE NAZI MADMAN
>Stroll strolling behind
>Wild aussies charging on track

I probably missed something. Conclusion; race was okay but nothing spectacular

Truth bomb here lads

Also the overtaking is exactly as expected, not happening. Hamilton couldn't even get past Verstappen (like 1.2 seconds slower per lap in quali) and it essentially cost him a victory.

This essentially means that if e.g. Massa memes himself in front at a start he might actually just cruise to victory assuming the strategy and pitstops are correct.

>>whoever gets in front on the first lap is going to drive away to the distance

I think it's more if Seb gets the jump, he'll drive off and win.
If Hamilton gets the jump, Seb will get stuck behind, and it will come down to the lone pitstop.

what a fatalistic post :/

you make wanna die

This is my first year doing the FantasyGP league thing, how long do post-race calculations usually take before the site comes back up?

Red Bull.

They just LOOOVE going slow.

Pre season /f1/ was all like
>MUH NEWEY
>MUH RENAULT
>MUH SANDBAGGING

While I was like
>'no'

GUESS WHO'S WRONG

Ferrari #1

When has there been lots of overtaking in Melbourne? How fucking dense are you? It's a street circuit. Wait until China and Bahrain until you sperg about the rule changes being bad.

I'm not buying that senpai because VET got close to HAM before he pitted on the first stint. I think over taking is possible still.

Yeah because Hamilton could follow, right?
The ferrari looks better in dirty air

mercedes haven't got the aero right to get the most out of the tires
even bottas was complaining about the tires

maybe wait until we get to an EZ pass track to confirm this, China is usually pass city

>whoever gets in front on the first lap is going to drive away to the distance

This is different from 2014-2016... how, exactly?

And again: this was Albert Park. It's a fucking street circuit. Last year we had 20 overtakes, now we had 14.

Ferrari seems to do better with degradation too so they can most of the time push the over cut

Gimi does the " Bowah" thing on purpouse, doesn't he ?

>all these faggots crying because there were 6 overtakes less than last year

As a Hamiltonfag/Mercfag, I am dissapoint

Imagine the smell

Someone here said it was a speech tick like saying ummm and that sort of thing
So probably not

There were also less cars than last year

yeah but woudn't you try to controle it as soon as people made fun of you because of it ?

You ever wonder why he doesn't like talking in public much?

But yeah if it's a speech problem like that he could get speech therapy to fix it.

BREAKING: Giovinazzi to replace Raikkonen with immediate effect

skysports.com/f1/news/12433/10814487/giovinazzi-to-replace-raikkonen-with-immediate-effect

I'm the guy in the OP by the way
Merc are still sandbagging , you'll see

Holy shit!

IT'S TRUE!

>mfw hamilcuck

>Merc are still sandbagging

>Merc are still s-sandbagging

FTFY

He can't fix it with speech therapy, it's a physical issue.

...

Ok lads, if any of you is interested in virtual memeball. Since Sup Forums is skipping the spring season, there will be a mini-tournament between Sup Forums generals around Easter to fill the time. So, if any of you is willing to weigh in on how to update the /F1/ roster, it would be appreciated. This is what it looked like the last time it took part at something. implyingrigged.info/wiki//F1/

HAPPENING

c-c-c-c-c-combo webm

So is it now safe to say Magnussen is just a shit driver? I don't get the fascination with this guy. He was OK at best at McLaren, miraculously got a second chance at Renault and didn't even seem to give a shit. Got a few decent results and was closely matched by Palmer by the end, which is not a good thing. Now he's somehow extended his career to Haas and so far he fucked up quali, memebombed himself into the gravel on the first lap, and was completely invisible otherwise. What makes him so "special" that he deserves to be a F1 driver? Half the GP2 field could probably get the same results as he does.

Also, we all know he will be replaced sooner or later by pic related, the future GOAT

Where is Giovinazzi going to go? He got the attention of everyone last year in GP2, and got the Ferrari backing, and now he's showed he can drive F1 without choking or being a nuisance as a backmarker. Certainly performed better than Stroll, among others with actual experience (Magnussen, Ericsson, Palmer). He basically is primed for a fulltime F1 drive, there's nothing more he needs to or can show really. The only question is where can he go? The only realistic options are Haas and Sauber. Haas is only an option if Grosjean doesn't renew, but i don't see why Haas would want to let go of him. Magnussen also has a multi year contract. Sauber won't fire Ericsson as it's de facto his team now and Merc will continue to force Wehrlein. There's really nowhere for him to go.

Unless Ferrari start feeling their power levels of Italian nationalism rising and set up the long-talked about Alfa Romeo Ferrari junior team just to get Giovinazzi (and Leclerc/Fuoco) a drive. Or just throw him straight into Ferrari as Gimi's replacement

Meme chicken driver in F3 to F1 driver with full Ferrari backing in the span of 2 years, not bad

never thought id ever be happy to see vettel win again but here I am

This is the best timeline lads, if only Gio scored points would have been the GOAT timeline

GOAT timeline is Lewis hitting the tractor instead.

>tfw Forza Rossa team never

The GOAT timeline is not the Senna v2 timeline

what was the full message?

go vettel

He'll either continue at Sauber or replace Magnussen mid-season. Maybe even Renault if Palmer continues his abysmal form.

"Realistic options" really don't mean shit when talking about a talent like this. Schumacher got snatched up by Benetton after one race, I expect something similar to happen to Giovinazzi, too. Would Mercedes even care if Wehrlein got dropped by Sauber?

Race replay on Sky F1 now

>Forca Ferrari!!! Forca
damn posers, va fan culo!

Maybe Williams buys him from Ferrari. Otherwise there are no realistic options, and that's a shame because this guy deserves a drive. Ferrari could try it when they replace Kimi but Ferrari never takes on youngsters.

I spilled coffee spiked with milk on my pants

Will it start to smell

Reported.

Hey lads, how much faster is the fastest lap?

AND FINLAND LOSES AGAIN

>implying spilling coffee with milk on your pants is against the rules

>Very good
>An hammer, congrats

Seb's
>Forza Ferrari ragazzi
>This (win) is fo us
>All of us here on track and in Maranello
>Thank you all, good job great car
>Now stay calm

Nice Vettel has won again

I hope this will be a Season with many VWL

>Would Mercedes even care if Wehrlein got dropped by Sauber?

I think they are the only ones who would. I honestly don't understand why they are shilling Wehrlein so hard. His debut season was getting matched in quali by fucking Haryanto, having a few decent races, got a good result in Austria because the Manor was accidentally kind on its tires for an unknown reason, then got basically outclassed by Ocon in the second half of the season and exposed himself as a bitch in Brazil wet weather conditions.

Maybe they want to demonstrate the "authenticity" of the Merc junior programme or show some sort of loyalty thing or something, I dunno.
