My favourites are:

>Halloween (original)
>Scream
>Trick r' Treat
>Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
>Dawn of the Dead (original)
>The Thing (1982)
>basically anything made by John Carpenter in the 70s/80s + In the Mouth of Madness

Not bad user. You have good taste.

Not quite god tier but highly entertaining.

>The Shining
>The Ring
>The Thing
>The The (joke)
>Event Horizon
>Texas Chainsaw #1
>bumping while I think for more

Ted?

I saw Event Horizon in the theatre when I was 14. Scared the shit outta me.

Dog will hunt!

DO YOU SEE?!?

I still haven't seen Event Horizon but I've heard good things

The fuck?

lol

I love Misty Mundae

I've seen it several times since then but it doesn't have the same effect as seeing it in the theatre.

But like I said, I was 14 so it was really scary for me at the time.

better

Never got to see it in a theater but one of the first things I bought after getting my first job in 2000 was a surround sound system and a dvd player. Had 5.1 in my sisters old bedroom and watched Event Horizon with a friend. Got drunk and fell in love with that movie.

Enough nostalgia for now. Back to sitting at home alone drinking myself to death.

B-list horror movies. Love troma stuff, very weird but cool as fuck

Toxic Avenger, Tromeo an Juliet and Class of Nukem High are classics.

Mah nigga! Chop Top's the shit. I believe the same guy played Otis in Devil's Rejects.

Yeah!!!!

holy shit lolly kaufmans channel used to have all the troma films on it... barley has any of them now, what a shame...

now i feel bad for posting that link

...

Kind of doubt I'd find traction with this crowd. But my tops are the new Evil Dead and Get Out and Wes Craven's New Nightmare, and then like Cabin in the Woods and I also enjoy the campy but terible and under produced like Jason X akso Jason Lives is great too. Lol

Liberate Tutemet ex Inferis

...

I watched event horizon at my dorm for a first date with a girl I was super into. Actually went very well.

For whatever reason I can't stand Halloween. I'm just bored out of my mind

Excorcist scared the shit outta me when I was little. Still dies

Fuck yes, I've been watching classic horror films for the past 3 months or so.

Most recently saw children of the corn.

What?????? Impossible

Horror movies are secretly great first date movies

I agree

>children of the corn.
I can't count how many times I watched those back in the mid 90's on USA channel and occasionaly HBO.

Lol. It's got a great beginning and a decent end. But all that stalking and slow nothing for the middle hour and twenty minutes? Laame. Lol. It probably doesn't help that I know Jamie Lee Curtis is making it through the first two easily

Eh, can't blame you. It started the slasher movie craze, it has become cliché because it was where the clichés originated

Right. And it's building and depending on suspense that just isn't there for me

Honestly I watch it just to see the teens die. The rest is window dressing.

If I'm going to watch a movie for that you simply can't beat the Friday the 13th franchise.

Agreed. So many great kills from that franchise.

In addition I've recently seen nightmare on elm street, friday the 13th, the omen, silence of the lambs, Jaws

And a total of about three bras. None of those girls know anything about breast support. Rofl

All of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies are great. (With the major exception of 2 the worst movie of all time)

...

One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

DREAM WARRIORS!
fuck yeah.. dokken
and of course "welcome to prime time butch"

Classic god tier.

...

Basically any giallo film is god tier.

Fantastic, but sadly one of the few movies to get significantly worse as picture quality went up and technology advanced to allow things like rewind.

...

Hobgoblins

That's just a Critters knock-off.

...

Does this count?

Fuck if I know, never seen it.

...

Who the fuck is that, Bilbo Baggins

you left out Jacob's Ladder

This one was an important one. It kicked off the Japanese horror series in the states.

not really horror. but very good

the Invitation
Home Movie
The Tunnel
The Thing (1982)
Get Out
It Comes at Night
The Reaping

My dad works right next to where that was filmed. When I was little I went up and down the massive staircase they used.

...

Thrill me

>The Ring
>Event Horizon

Can't tell if that's a joke list with those 2 thrown in there.

was a good one. comedic, saw it a couple weeks back after not having seen it since it was new. a bit cheesy but nostalgic.

Only good horror movie that's come out in the past 10 years. (in b4 12 year old says some shit along the lines of "but it has funny parts so no good XD")

Saw it recently, cheesy as hell. But still a good watch

...

what a shit movie. not scary at all

...

12 year old detected

excellent movie but not scary

The greatest of all time.

JUSTIIIIII-

I think the first one falls into the horror movie "we gotta have a lot of sex stuff" trap. The second one, however, is amazing. Probably my favorite horror movie. I always recommend VHS 2 to anyone that asks.

...

Same here mate. Cheers! I love violent horror when I'm drunk.

The Entity

Shit took place in my home town

Lick my plate you dog dick!

this one

High Tension

The Wailing, on Netflix, is incredible.

Pumpkinhead is a seasonal favorite of mine, I'd say it's definitely the most underrated monster movie.

Try Halloween 3, it's really different but great.

Same for Exorcist 3, really different from the first film but great.

the delightful story of a witches coven recruiting their newest member

yeah just binge these and you should have a scary/comfty halloween

No, get that comedic shit out of here

The Thing
Dawn of the Dead remake
Jacobs Ladder (good call)
World war z
Silent hill

probably the best in the shitty franchise.
Leprechaun in the hood is one of the first horror movies I ever watched so it holds a weird special place in my heart

I was skeptical when I first looked at it, but it pleasantly surprised me when I watched it.

and critters is a gremlins knock-off

I prefer Hocus Pocus

Double zeros of truth.

My manager loves the first Halloween and I love telling them how Halloween 3 is my favorite. Rofl. They hate it soo much

I only watched it about halfway through, it's pretty boring tbh

troma

Y'know why they call me Mo?

fuck yeah, love that movie.

I'd go with Hellraiser or Return of the Living Dead.

Anybody have links to Long Pigs? Been wanting to watch that one for a long time

I'm normally not scared by horror films, but these made me shutter at moments
Se7en
Alien
Zodiac
Texan Chainsaw (original)
The Descent
REC (2007)
American Werewolf in London (For that train station scene alone)
night of the hunter (1955)
