What the fuck is actually wrong with my hair?
I'm 22 and it's been like this for the past two years. It doesn't improve and it doesn't worsen. I wear my headphones right there practically all day and it'll itch at the most but that's it. Everyone says I'm going bald but the hair is all there on the crown it's just been thin like that for two years now. The rest of my hair is fine and reasonably thick, just kinda dry.

I got Skullcandy Grinds. I think because of the texture on the band, heat builds up more quickly and it gets dirtier. My hair is decently oily after only two days without a shower so that might be making it worse.
Wash your hair very well using a hydrating shampoo and conditioner, doesn't have to be expensive. Wash your hair well making sure to work the product into your hair and really clean it all plus your scalp. Do this ever 2 days. Not every day, not once a week, not once in awhile, every 2 days. If it doesn't clear it get a new headset, if that doesn't work you're Fucked basically.

i'm losing hair rapidly but not in the usual male pattern baldness areas. just at the very middle above my forehead and sporadically at the top.

It's genetics or SEVERELY deficient diet. Also there is some evidence that suggests a sedentary lifestyle could be detrimental to hair growth, but I assume that is within men already genetically predisposed.

I get clipped at a 3 and from the front it looks fine. From the back it's starting to show. But, the newer the haircut, the less it shows.

most likely, that's still balding. How it starts is irrelevant, it's where/when it stops. Still see a doctor, though. Might be some stress related thing (or parts of it at least). They'll give you steroids since that isn't the same as male pattern baldness (a form of alopecia). If that's what it is (stress) then the steroids will get you back at it in like 2-3 months.
In all seriousness though, obviously no one WANTS to lose their hair, whether to gradual receding or full on thinning, but it really isn't that bad. Just don't maintain a haircut that makes you look like some creepy weirdo, accept it, and move on. It would be great if we all had hair forever but no one actually gives a fuck if men shave so fuck it. Stop looking at celebrities who spends thousands to keep their hair. More than half of men report some kind of hair loss by 30 (and that's assuming no one is lying or just in denial). 80% by the age of 60. Just fuck it.
