Welcome to the 21st century

>human jobs are disappearing and nothing you can do about it

I work in a gun store. When will my job become automated and profitable?

Or I can stop being human

jeez, i so wish i could work as a solar-panel cleaner.

I am a gun store. when will the market become automated and profitable?

Obama please don't shitpost, you have stuff to do.

Only a matter of time

The goal of the economy is to eliminate labor faggot

Who cleans the solar panel on the solar panel cleaner..?

>what are 3d gun printers

Become a programmer, u faggot

Is that a solar powered solar panel cleaner? But who cleans the cleaners solar panel?

The ultimate end goal of a perfect socialist society, is where every job is automated, freeing up the people for artistic and personal pursuits.

It's the transition that is a bitch.

An even smaller robot.

That's why everyone should go into CS.

People who can't write code will soon be considered illiterate.

>Obama please don't shitpost
I fucking lol'd

when a nigger comes along and rips that shit apart to sell at the local scrapyard, how will it be repaired?

Good. The more jobs are eradicated by technology, the sooner we change economic systems.

>Spoiler: actually, there'll be a mass-culling of the plebs in a massive socioeconomic civil war first.

What's the problem with that? Isn't that the point of continued technological improvements?

The majority of science degrees do programming though. Especially things like matlab and fortran.

This machine makes the entire burger.

It could be automated right now.

For instance: A gun vending machine. Choose gun, give money, receive gun.

Your job only exists because of government intervention.

all the reasons why to split up money between people. if all these jobs are disappearing or going to thanks to AI, driverless cars, robots, then it's important how money is split up. I think a universal basic income is on its way whether you or me agree with it or not makes no difference. Sooner or later people are going to start dying on the streets, you think it's a joke or funny now, but we'll see how funny it is when that big mouth of yours doesn't have any food in it. Besides, you faggots who are in disagreement with it don't have to dimes to rub together, you ain't baller rich, and you never will be,. You think you are part of the club, ,but you are not. You think making six figures or more a year is big shot, you soon too will have no money thank sto them and then we'll all be on the same boat, bitching.

>sneak onto local solar farm
>pour paint into robot cleaner reservoir
>giggle

...

its what Bernie wants

Bernouts hate poor people and want anyone whose labor is worth $14.99/hr or less to have their job replaced by a robot or a mexican

The dock that fills the cleaner, which is powered by the other panels.

is this really a viable option?

>what is a website
>what is online ordering

If I lived in the US I wouldn't ever visit a fucking store anymore.

Basic income fixes literally all the problems. The right and left should both embrace it.

Gets rid of the need for minimum wage laws (need to have competitive wages to compete with basic income)

Gets rid of bloated government programs

Everyone gets the same amount of money

Reduces crime, healthcare costs

Only a total moron or shill can be against basic income

You act like that isn't already happening.

>"Basic income fixes literally all the problems."

Except for problem numero uno

WHERE THE FUCK DOES THE MONEY COME FROM

>Who cleans the solar panel on the solar panel cleaner..?

Checkmate atheists.

The people against basic income are largely the reactionary types. It's welfare, so it's bad. Nevermind that unemployment continue to climb and the next generation of kids won't have ANY jobs to look forward to.

According to the reactionaries, the average person should just starve to death if they can't find any work in an economy where most work is being done by tireless hyper-efficient robots.

And very typically the individuals who think everyone should just roll over and die, never see themselves as one of the losers in this deal who will have to roll over and die. It's amazing how fast their opinion on it changes once they're fired from their job and replaced by a robot.

From the cut welfare programs I already talked about? You'd be spending maybe a little more money overall but the increased stimulus from having poorer people with disposable income would more than make up for it.

Well, you see, in magical pixie land, we already automated everything.
From doing this, we have a massive national surplus. Which we turned into a basic income.

It comes from taxpayers, particularly the rich due to the way the progressive tax system works.

Good, fuck working.

How can they be against something that everyone gets, that's what confuses me. It's been proven to work. People are so stupid.
Kill yourself

>WHERE THE FUCK DOES THE MONEY COME FROM
From the productive work of the automation.

You don't need automation for basic income, you retards.

Perhaps you could clean the cleaning bot

How the fuck is anyone going to break out of NEET hell?

>You don't need automation for basic income, you retards.
Nope, not at all.

All you need is productive workers that make more than they consume. IE an economy past serfdom.

>tax the companies that automated everything
>basic income
>people give basic income back to the companies
>many people still also work because they don't want to live off 10k

The jobs that are disappearing aren't for "humans"

Robots are cheaper and more efficient than humans.

It's either basic income, letting thousand of people starve because there are no jobs or forcing people to do shit like cleaning up the streets to justify giving them money.

Yeah, they're for the chinese.

Considering just today I bought services from 3 people who work $14.99 or less, I'm going to say yeah, nah.

The main force for this change is Bernouts demanding that anyone whose labor is worth $14.99/hr or less to become homeless and presumably suicidal, and the top goal of Bernie Sanders is to sign it into law.

how the fuck do you pay for basic income ?

It looks like shit.

as soon as the gubmint gets tha fuck out tha way

>how the fuck do you pay for basic income ?
How the fuck do you accumulate wealth within an economy?

You're pretty shortsighted.

As I keep spamming into this thread, all we need to do is automate everything. Or as much as everything as we can.
Then, as a nation, we have goods to sell on the international markets. Thus creating money for the country. Which is spread around in the form of a basic income.

But I was told to kill myself for saying this. Sooo, I'm not sure if we should ever do this until the great purge.

Do you realize how much the overhead costs for the welfare programs that already exist?

It's not like we're giving out 30k a year. It's a basic level to keep you above a certain point.

The increased purchasing power combined with the cut of massive bureaucracy is enough

Good, jobs are shit. Why would you want to waste your life earning shekels for a government that hates you instead of enjoying yourself?

>all you need is productive works to cuck

fuck you NEETs, give me one reason why you shouldn't be gassed

>become rich
>never have to worry

STFU

Why shouldn't you be gassed?

I'm a researcher so jokes on you. My job can't be automated. (Atleast not for a while.)

Yea well the shitposting bot is already broken. Someone tell the mods.

Do me a favour, because it would be good for you, and everyone in this thread.

Look up the actual cost of the welfare program. Post the hard numbers, with source here.

Then take, oh, say. 15k? That sounds like a good low number for a basic income. And multiply it by the 40 million people in this country.
Do the numbers add up? Which one is bigger? And by how much.

Just so you don't tell me to kill myself again. This isn't me trying to be a dick. I'm genuinely curious how the numbers add up. So don't go all hate speech on me again.

neet here. how do i get out of neetdom without a degree? pls

I'm a productive member of society faggot

I design cannabis strains and manage crops, robutt can't do my job.

Disagreeing with the outcome of your fantasy scenario doesn't mean I'm short sighted. Robots are going to be able to drive the value of certain types of labor down, but they seem profitable due to the current economic situation. At the end of the day the most profitable workers will be the ones that are made of water, sugar, and nitrogen, and not the ones made of limited resources.

Yes I do, but I dont think you do realize that basic income is literally welfare + food stamps + whatever times a thousand.

so its literally the same thing, except you want to alienate a large majority of the population even more than today by giving them this basic income.

your logic is just retarded I'm sorry

Bingo

> matlab
> programming

>fuck you NEETs, give me one reason why you shouldn't be gassed

Because we have machines to make stuff for us, so why do you care?

You're shortsighted because you believe humans are special and cannot be replaced by robots.

You might as well believe in a sky fairy while you're at it. You don't live in reality, you live in a fantasy world and actual discussion with you is impossible.

Society is vastly over-rated

Finite resources, too many people.

Good.

Humans are flawed.

No you aren't.

IT - Systems Automation Admin checking in. I am automating all IT processes to cuck all you fucking millennials. By the time you ass hats graduate, there will be less IT jobs for you ungrateful bastards.

How about you rev up those centrifuges and get to lowering the global population by starting WW3. Hmm? Please?

>Commercial drivers license
>apprenticeship
>learn programming

Of course you can always start with a menial job like most other people.
>waiter
>department stores
>temp agencies
This is what I mostly did. Many warehouses hire in bulk and aren't too picky.
Some give forklift training if you're there long term which can bump you up to 15$/hour

>Finite resources, too many people.

Not in Canada, or the USA, or most of Europe, or South America.

But even still, lets say I agree we are limited in resources. But just where is that limit? Surely we aren't even fucking close to it now given reserves of well everything and sustainable resources.

Yeah it's technically scripting, but most people don't care about the terminology.
Also I think matlab is in-between since it can be compiled into independent executable files now.

I am though, I literally look at productivity metrics on a weekly basis and justify my existence. Deal with it neetfag.

Constructions companies arnt going away anytime soon. I'm golden buddy.

>You're shortsighted because you believe humans are special and cannot be replaced by robots.

Nopers. Using strawman arguments against anyone who doesn't share your blind optimism doesn't make you look smart.

>You might as well believe in a sky fairy while you're at it.

Says the guy for whom technology is religion and whose faith is that robots will save him.

>You don't live in reality, you live in a fantasy world and actual discussion with you is impossible.

Says the guy who thinks robots are competitive, in any objective sense, with meatbags who need only be paid in water, beans, and rice or whatever. Robots are competitive with humans in a relative sense.

>ID: VELY+FUN

I can't see any alternative to a basic income. The other option is to somehow outcompete a robot. Even the jobs that are irreplaceable are can be done in less time by less people.

this machine still gets operated by people.

and honestly paving roads is a back-breaking, knee-damaging shitty job, why NOT make it easier, faster and cheaper?

Sucks to be a low skilled worker

Yeah I went to school to get a job that cannot be replaced. It's called "thinking ahead" and more people should try it.

>learn programming
don't they say it takes like 10 years to actually learn programming? and where do you even start with that?

Paving roads hasn't been like that in ages. It's all done by heavy machinery. Very little actual labour is involved.

Everyone says their job is secure. But a construction robot is one of the first things I consider when it comes to replacing people.

Actually a lot of automation does occur in construction.
If you look at things like concrete pouring, it used to take huge crews of guys to level out the concrete, mix it, pour it, etc. Now these days you just get a pump truck and like 5 or 6 guys and you can do 20-30k square feet of concrete in a day.

In a general sense power tools alone have reduced the overall need for labour in construction. Just because someone is still working construction doesn't mean technological advances haven't lowered the overall need for workers in the industry.
I don't think anyone is expecting automation to completely eliminate labour, it's the huge reduction in it that they are worried about.

Do you consider yourself better than people who don't work?

I consider myself better than people who CAN work and choose not to, yes.

No one knows how long it'll take for us to be able to mine other planets for resources, we could be dependent on the reserves we have for thousands of years, why waste it on NEETs?
>independent executable files
I think you still have to have the MATLAB runtime library installed.

It's also made the lives of the workers that are still on the job a whole hell of a lot easier and safer.
Sure, less people employed, but happier healthier workers.

Learn Python, write some basic programs, go to school in CS or related major, get 6-figure job right out of school. You just saved 6 years.

>I think you still have to have the MATLAB runtime library installed.
No, it compiles the matlab code into C as far as I'm aware. I have only used it once before and it's kind of finicky, but you don't need matlab installed to run it once it's compiled.

not really, that machine is a rather new invention and there arent that many of them.

You could also potentially argue that although we no longer have need of hiring 100 mexicans to pour concrete, there's more demand for engineers to create building designs suitable to what we have now. There are building designs such as "speedform" or others similar that are specifically created to work around concrete pump trucks to make pouring floors even faster. So automation killed the market for the concrete mixer, but it created a market for the guy that can design a building around concrete pump trucks.
