It's a real shame to see a studio I once respected go in this direction. It seems like with Druckmann behind the helm, every decision will now revolve around identity politics in some way. It now makes total sense why they refuse to go back to making fun cartoony platformers like they used to make, since it's much harder to shove their sjw views into those.
I don't believe for a second that the story about the focus tester is real of course, but it's a shame to see just how low the Western gaming industry has sunk.
