What a bunch of bullocks
Yes, Husker Du and Minutemen exist
GBH is pretty decent.
Discharge is good. Their music is very original. It's since been copied quite a bit, though.
The Circle Jerks are decent straightforward hardcore.
Black Flag is good, veering more towards the experimental side of things.
Lots of proto-punk bands are also pretty fun to listen to: Dictators, New York Dolls, Stooges, etc.
I know this is a bait thread, but punk is really diverse in sub and crossover genres. Check out Wire.
punk has been accomplished. the punk statement was good and it was made effectively.
the music was meant to be temporary and die quick like a crumpled up piece of trash, which it also accomplished
punk served its purpose. current punk is so fucked im almost convinced it's a psyop no joke
ja
ewwwww
OP asked for GOOD punk, NOT Nazi shit like Skrewdriver or any RAC Oi!
Pic posted is an example of GOOD punk!
>expecting historical accuracy from Nazis
clowns is pretty good
>le nonconformity where everything is the same
>le countercultural music that's just angsty pop rock
Its called Post Punk user
Is there a scene that Nazis don't ruin ?
Clowns is fucking AMAZING
Prog rock, even that shit is too nerdy for Neo Nazis
Nazis aint smart user
Klezmer, Queercore, Riot Grrrl, stuff like that I guess
That's even worse
truly biting commentary. how will they ever recover???
Fuck off with that white power bullshit!
And take your scummy friend who posted with you!
So god help me if I ever see you two at an alt right rally, I'll make it my sole purpose to drive my car into the crowd and take down as many of you as I can!
FUCK YOUR RAHOWA! FUCK YOUR 14/88 BULLSHIT! KYS THE BOTH OF YOU!
Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned, The Exploited, Adolescents, Agent Orange, Bad Religion (first couple of albums), Dr. Feelgood, The Gun Club, Tav Falco's Panther Burns,
Boring music listened to by people who like to say that they place the art before the artist without realising that what they're talking has absolutely no artistic value at all
Bully Boys
WE WUZ VIKANGS AND SHIIEEEEET
This, and many other things punk inspired/spawned. Punk itself? Nah.
Rudimentary Peni btw, and don't stop with their first EPs like posers do. They released some absolutely insane stuff.
Basic bitch opinion
The forgotten classic!
crust/d-beat is cool I guess
Oww my feelings
That's strictly a matter of opinion.
Sorry, but they lost me after Death Church. (And I thought it was too slow, although it has some great songs)
It's always weird when i see this band mentioned since my dad is a childhood friend of john greville.
No, because it's about ego and posturing rather than art and craft
Hence its attractiveness to socialists/angry virgins
it's music wrapped in a fashion statement popularized rebellion by some one who wanted to make money, it's hollow bullshit.
aint any real ones left in the worl-
I love punk music
youtube.com
usually I post this, but good on ya mate.
No way, post-punk is rich city kids appropriating working class music and ruining it with poppy songwriting, emasculated vocals and a focus on vain existential aesthetics.
EXTREME WHITE RACIAL VIOLENCE
youtube.com
RAC or bust.
ITT please list the ways that punk is the Sup Forums of music
OP said good, not cringy nazi trash
>rac
eww
you will literally (LITERALLY) never come up with something as good as the stick count in the middle of that Angry Aryans song.
at least im not some skinhead lowlife lol
Now in Espanol
youtube.com
>no fashion sense
>GG-sized dick
>no talent at what they do all they
>terrible opinions in lyrics
>no one above the age of 15 takes them seriously
People who like RAC and White Music are the most banal people in existance, they don't have their own identity so they choose to identify with cultural signifiers instead,
*White Power Music is what I meant
*White Pride Music
Idc that much but wikipededia refers to it as white power music and that's what everyone calls it, either way it doesn't matter because it's poor quality and has absolutely no value
you can't even construct a coherent post. did you get too flustered up because someone posted some dumbass rac bands?
The only value punk music has is as cultural/political document of a time and a place.
In that regard, borderline inept RAC bands are just as valuable as I dunno, Husker Du or Flux Of Pink Indians. Maybe even more valuable, as it explores and propagates a less explored dynamic in punk.
This guy got it right. Punk "fans" are children.
>my arbitrary value judgments determine the worth of a whole genre
keep the pseudo-intellectualism in your diary because you're boring the shit out of anyone who reads it.
You're talking to two different people, I corrected myself because I said "White Music" and I didn't want that to be misconstrued as some sort of statement, this other dude then "corrected" me because I said White Power Music.
Is that coherent enough for you? Cunt.
is it really that gud
Pseudo-Analysis of pop culture is the worst form of douchiness.
t. child
some people say Stiff Little Fingers sucks
don't believe them
don't believe them
>art means nothing outside of my ideology
>A couple of irrelevant bands only listened to by other Nazis
>ruining the punk scene
Really? It's not like those Nazi bands are incorporated into the larger scene at all, they just receive hostility
Good punk has never been made by someone with a mohawk/liberty spikes, prove me wrong. Protip: you can't
>Stiff Little Fingers
>The Exploited
>Dr. Feelgood
you know your shit man
Scratch Acid
But those are the worst bands he posted.
If you think dr feelgood is bad you have brain damage
>keep the pseudo-intellectualism in your diary
>punk music
choose one
Listen to the first Live album (it's called Stupidity), it's one of the best things that came out of the uk punk and pub rock scene
Here you go. You're welcome.
Rancid, Face to Face, Green Day, Good Charlotte, NOFX, Sex Pistols, The Damned, Sublime, Beastie Boys, Bad Religion, Blink-182, Bowling for Soup, The Clash, Dead Kennedys, Flogging Molly, Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards, Millencollin, Old 97's, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Social Distortion, Violent Femmes, Tiger Army, Dresden Dolls, Supersuckers, Misfits, The Pogues, The Ramones, Transplants, Rollins Band, and of course Dying Fetus.
All of my favorite bands seem to have or have been affected by some sort of punk influence in their musical career. Sure, some of you might scoff at these bands and even my taste in music for that matter, but it doesn't change the fact that many of these bands are formative in terms of my taste in music growing up. And while some of these artists don't fully live up to the genre punk, they have all have been touched by it in some way or another, and hence punk has touched me.
Hardcore is a different story. I really don't get it.
I just want to thank the kind soul who turned me on to the Coneheads in a previous thread.
