Can I have some advice? I got in trouble about 10 years ago with cp shit. Because I was young, they dismissed cp charges, but now, I'm clean of anything like that since the dismissal. I want to go back to college, finish a major in education (teacher, probably college) but I don't feel like I'll have luck getting a teaching license with my background, though the only thing I was convicted of was misdemeanor disorderly conduct. I doubt the education board would be chill about handing out licenses to guys with something like that on their background.
Should I even try? I couldn't find much shit online for it.

Were the records sealed ? Why teaching ? Have you sought treatment?
Jayden Ross
Just ask someone at the college. Worst they can say is no.
John Hall
The records were not sealed. I've always wanted to teach. I'm cut out for it, love the field I'd teach in, like academics, and feel it would be the right path for me.
Also, no. Never sought treatment, but I've been clean of that shit since it all went down. Relapse won't be an issue.
Brody Ortiz
Also, I live in a state where the records are available to anyone with a computer.
Though since then, I've had a fairly good career in business management, and no one has ever found out at my current place of work. I just hate it, and don't want to do it anymore.
Justin Rodriguez

Adam Morris
If I say something, the cat for sure is out of the bag. I've spent 6 years at my current job, without anyone finding out about it. My background check cleared for my business job, hopefully it will clear with the background check by the education board.
Elijah Long
Might as well give up.
Michael Lee
Just don't say shit, it's in the past. Try to get the teaching license, just don't fucking relapse
Noah Smith
are pardons not a thing where you're from? Ten years should be enough time. or is that shit too serious for a pardon? Anyways that's fucked man
Camden Lewis
If you live in the USA get a lawyer and ask about getting your record Expunged. If you've been a good boy and decent citizen it's a method to get one time mistakes off of your record.
Jackson Robinson
can't you ask at an other school with fake name and fake backgroundstory?
Camden Smith
No doubt it's all fucked. But no. Pardons are not available in my state. Shit's gonna be there til the day I die.
Brandon Walker
so you can get another "one time only" record? xD
Andrew Murphy
That's what I'm leaning on. I just don't want to go through two more years of college, with an extra $30k in debt only to hear that they'll give me the bachelor's degree, but not the teaching cert.
Ryder Morgan
Unfortunately my state is one of the few states that will not expunge those records. I've already discussed with an attorney.
Austin Green
That.... Is a great idea. I am going to do that.
Austin Nelson
Change your aspirations, and just generally avoid kids. With just a little bad luck you'll seem like a pedofile then you'll have to kill yourself.
Aiden Foster
Would you hire yourself?
Cameron Edwards
FFS, go online and get a background check on yourself.
Just like with credit scores, FIND OUY WAT THEY WILL FIND OUT BEFORE THEY FIND IT
Justin Carter
Yes. I've been pretty upstanding, and not a danger to anyone, and won't be.
Oliver Adams
Have you tried... Another country?
Christian Thompson
Also a good idea. The only problem is that there are dozens of places that do background checks, and the results vary wildly on what gets turned up with each company.
Gabriel Campbell
I've considered. Though my whole family is here.
Blake Foster
It's cautious and wise, but I am not it's quite that dire.
Jayden Ortiz
Then you've got nothing to fear my dude. Not everyone will hire you, but someone will and you are going to like it Bitch Yeah, c'mon give yourself some self esteem You like that? Who's your daddy? Faggot
Liam Gutierrez
Thanks Sup Forumsrother. You made my year!
Ian Nguyen
Real Answer: Go to the courthouse where you were processed, and find out about how to "expunge" your record.
Probably can be looked up online, BUT only take advice from websearches that are SPECIFIC TO YOUR JURISDICTION. (don't listen to an online faggot from Idaho about your Utah court expungement process).
Expungement literally removes the item from your record, IF you meet certain conditions: Something like 5-10 years of NO court procedures for crimes, and severrity of charges against you....
I got rid of a small marijuana conviction in the days before pot was legal. I filled out the form, paid a small filing fee, a judge at that actual courthouse were I plead 'no contest' approved it in a couple weeks.
it was 'expunged', and it never shows up on my employments searches nor public records searches
David Price
Don't Hide anything at your Background Check. your students WILL find out eventually and then you're fucked. If you're honest about it from the beginning maybe there is someone who will hire you But Yea, try asking at different Schools
Joseph Kelly
You like those people? Well, there is no much to do actually. Maybe hopping for the best? Not everyone are faggets. Just don't try to work for a Kindergarden
Jaxson Roberts
It would be secondary or college
Brody Martin
First, about what age are you now? Second, if it looks bad, change career goals. Learn how to buy real estate so you can rely on the income from properties so if no one hires you, you can have stable income.
Third, don't work against life. You messed up and society is stupid and won't forgive and forget. If you're bleeding, don't try to swim in the ocean because you'll attract sharks. If your record is there, don't go to a schooling profession. Experiment in life.
Juan King
Aim to college. The more adults, the better
James Price
Ill give advice but why cp? Why did you seek it out? Why not just bang a woman and rid yourself of hornieness?
Gavin Robinson
I was 19 and dealing with a heavy porn addiction. I was also very sexually active, trying to fuck every girl around me, and spending alot of money on prostitutes too. Not proud of it. The porn addiction spiraled out of control, if I wasn't breaking the rules, I wasn't getting off. I am not really attracted to children, it was the excitement and danger that got me off.
David Moore
I'm 31.
Jackson Butler
That's what I've been doing. Experimenting. Nothing else seems right for me than education and academia.
Liam Adams
Thanks for all the advice so far guys. I appreciate it.
Aiden Miller
At least, invest like I said. Learn to. I promise you self sufficiency and getting solid and easy income every month will save you in case the world turns against you.
The only way you can know is asking around. Aim for upper age since society will be scared of you still for a mistake you made when 19. You can overcome your obstacle. Contact the right people to ask if it'd be an issue where you won't be granted a certification. Also, just because you have it doesn't mean the school will hire.
Average mind: "Pedo or regular guy? Hire the regular guy." If they find out, they could try to boot you out and maybe an upset parent could DOX you and hurt your reputation online and you become a news story, etc.
Self sufficiency, my man. Real estate.
Lucas Fisher
Thanks. My issue with that is that I'm NOT a fixer upper type of guy, and any type of repair work I may do to my properties will only end in tragedy.
Brayden Roberts
No. You have to get background checks every year to go to school/ get a job.
I'm a teacher.
Nathan Howard
Even if I get it expunged from the record?
Wyatt Peterson
Do you mean that as a teacher you still have to get a background check done every year? I'm confused. That was worded funny
Elijah Diaz
If the conviction was only misdemeanor disorderly conduct a decade ago and you were a youthful offender, you shouldn't have much trouble in most states, and even less if you move to another state.
Jacob Harris
Correct. It's the nature and severity of the dismissed ones that make me nervous.
Julian Williams
You said your state doesn't do expungement, is that just for convictions or do they not expunge dismissed charges either?
Ethan Clark
I am not sure about dismissed crimes and how they work. Perhaps it's attorney time.
Andrew Morris
how did you get caught with it? Anything you can deny?
Sebastian Jones
Long since made my peace with it. I was on limewire, I attempted to DL a video, the guy who hosted the pic was apparently raided. And they traced the IPs of each person DLing it.
Jayden Turner
Pled no contest and they dismissed it, since I had no priors. Gave me a disorderly conduct.
Ian Scott
if the charges were dismissed then its not on your record. a misdemeanor that's 10 years old can be pardoned.
that being said, keep you pedo ass out of the schools, that's just a terrible fucking idea
Daniel Jenkins
They just show up with a warrant and arrest you and cease your stuff or what? Did they actually find it or only have your IP?
Kayden Baker
Warrant, seized my stuff. Never arrested. They didn't find the image, but found one item in my internet cache which was enough for probable cause to charge me. Took my attorney's advice and didn't go to trial, he said he may have won, but the cost would have been considerable, and if I lost, I'd be looking at 10 years.
Daniel Gomez
Thanks for the advice. Not a pedo, but close enough to warrant your warning.
Jose Nguyen
That's disgusting. Maybe you should consider another career that'd suit you better, like being someone's bitch.
Jackson Price
Also, it's not on my record, but it's on CCAP, that shows the trial, what I was charged with, and the outcome of the charges. CCAP is an online database that anyone can access.
Anthony Richardson
My state only though.
Brayden Ward
>convicted pedo >wants to be a teacher >fill in time bumping his thread with pics of naked young girls wew'est of lads I really hope this isnt bait
Landon Scott
If it pays well enough, I might consider.
Jaxon King
Not a convicted pedo. Shit was dismissed. Also, don't want to teach little kids, I want secondary or college.
Gabriel Kelly
Most college teacher jobs are part time adjunct shit, OP. Not worth the effort
Isaiah Cook
He's not convicted.. yet. Fucking dumbass. Of course you would. LOL
Mason Davis
But yeah. Point taken on the pics. At least they're 18 and I didn't make you all an accessory! Silver linings.
Chase Collins
For a 31 year old you seem really attracted to 18 year olds that look younger than that by the pics you posted. The fact that you weren't convicted again, plus the fact that these girls are exactly 18 doesn't really support your no-relapse ever case. Half of high school seniors look like that. Some of those are horny af. You can't deal with that. Stop fooling yourself, you can't teach HS or below.
Bentley Fisher
Not every stare expunges records. Some only set aside, but it still shows up.
Evan Thomas
Charter schools will hire anyone with a pulse. Try one of those pieces of shit. They have low standards
Hudson Moore
That's an outright lie. They certainly did not trace limewire back then unless you were distributing. Maybe you attempted to UP a vid.
Connor Thomas
My raging hormones have tapered. I can handle it.
Christopher Green
>implying that even being accused of cp someone would offer him a job
welcome to the school mr johnson wait didnt that guy get accused of cp 10 years ago? oh sorry mr johnson we have decided to not give you the job afterall nancy call the police, get roman polanski out of my office
Jonathan Wright
Convicted felon here, you will be fine. Disorderly conduct, especially a misdemeanor is not a crime of moral turpitude so many places won't mind hiring you. Time is a good factor too.
Also, some states can expunge records. Look into that. Do it OP.
Liam Perry
To elaborate more, I was DLing a video, and the guy who was uploading it was busted WHILE he was uploading it, like apparently raided and caught red-handed. They traced it from there.
Oliver Bennett
I wasn't defending him, idiot. Do you even know what "convicted" means? Fuck you.
Jack Gonzalez
It was a chance in a million that it happened right at that time.
Lucas Ortiz
wear a dress and a wig, say you are transpolar demi-queer otherkin with a masters in iceberg feminist gender studies and they will hire you on the spot
if not post on tumblr about it till the entire school protest for the firing of the entire HR department till you get the job
then fuck little kids in the mouth
Michael Howard
Thing is, worst case scenario, you can not. If it's HS it's probably legal to sleep with one of your students but with your previous behavior if the student even knows how to spell rape, you're royally screwed. The parents will influence the student to call rape too.
My motto is, when doing something that can end up bad, ask myself whether I can handle the worst case scenario. Can you handle a) the label of a convicted felon under underage rape. b) The probability of being behind bars in an american jail with charges of underage rape.
Jeremiah Gutierrez
I think you are a convicted faggot, there is a special board just for you
Camden Phillips
Same poster here. I had a conviction while I was coaching high school football. Originally a major felony and the school found out the day I did from a resource officer. Got put on administrative leave. Cleared it all up within a few years and returned to coaching only to not be approved after my background check. It was reduced to misdemeanor petit larceny. Still a crime within a few years.
Time is a huge factor bro, I'm learning that now. And I'm in VA where I can't expunge either. You have a chance man. But don't bring up that CP shit, only what you were convicted of.
Joseph Reed
NO CONTEST XD
Nathan James
>But don't bring up that CP shit, only what you were convicted of.
So if they ask how it all went down probably expecting to hear something along the lines of "I was 18, she was 17", does he just lie?
Hunter King
Well thanks man. I'm fucking terrified of screwing my life up again, so I'll make it right this time.
Jeremiah Mitchell
Shit, I can make up some convincing story on why I got a disorderly conduct misdemeanor.
Chase Scott
Yes. Well not lie, but don't go into detail. If I tell a company trying to hire me that I was originally convicted of felony embezzlement, would they ever hire me?
If I tell them it was petit larceny and drunk taking a candy bar or some shit, I have a chance. I made the mistake of going into detail and writing out statements and making sure I was honest and up front in job interviews and never got hired. One company hired me, then called to give me info about training and where to be. And I thanked them for giving me a chance (assuming they read my statement when i submitted my background check).
They didn't. The lady had no idea what I meant. So she went back and read it and called back with lawyers and revoked the hiring.
Andrew Anderson
imagine you are the guy juring people for a job, do you hire person a who meets all the requirements or do you hire person b who meets all the requirements and may or may not have touched children 10 years ago, its not rocket surgery
Sebastian Perry
Be ABSOLUTELY sure they cannot open the file and see exactly what happened without breaking any law. If you lie and get fired from there when they find out, you'll have a hard time finding a new job.
Leo Peterson
>im a pedo ass kid fucker, is that okay me Sup Forums? >OH GOD YOU MEAN THATS WRONG?!!
Enjoy being exposed at every opportunity for the next forever. Entire forums and boards exist to make your sad life hell.
Joshua Hall
I get that. It's mostly whether or not it will even come up, which I'm gathering is doubtful. It's dismissed. Won't show up on a background check.
Brandon Peterson
>Because I was young, they dismissed cp charges
oh dismissed were they? right. young, you say? ok buddy. totally not believable.
Thomas Watson
We are a weird species of monkeys living on a rock, that's for sure.
Jeremiah Howard
Imagine having to hire people or else your whole school gets shut down because of lack of personel. There is always an extreme case.
Wyatt Thompson
Look up CP laws. They'll confirm it's not abnormal to dismiss, especially with no priors for me.
Thomas Peterson
1) You don't major in Education to become a teacher/professor, you major in the field you want to teach. Education majors are for school administration.
2) Get your records expunged/pardoned.
3)???
4) Profit
Anthony Bailey
tl dr what were the charges? cp on your computer? touching kids in a park? fuck s girl who said she was 18 years old but was only 18 months old?
