Before you jump down my throat and say 'BUT THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T GIVE GUNS AWAY'

Before you jump down my throat and say 'BUT THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T GIVE GUNS AWAY'

The government also does not give away free healthcare, it is simply socialized.

Sidenote - I have a Southern Cross tattoo :)

Similar to this, slightly smaller.

>the government making mandates in guns is bad
>the government making mandates in healthcare is bad
I'm sorry if consistent world views seem strange to you.

You don't get issued a gun for small fee, like you do with health care.

There is no program that I know of where you sign up to be part of a community defense force that lets you stay in your home. Does not deploy you to anywhere. Issues you a combat machine gun and a side arm and says check your alert system in case of emergency.

Health care insurance both public and private give you access to hospitals and major surgery at a giant discount.

Splitting hairs, m8

Good point, they don't give it away for free, they steal it from someone else THEN they give it away for free.

We dont pay for other people guns and im not fuckin paying for your healthcare you fucking inadequate weakling. If you cant take care of yourself then YOU DIE

man I know this is the classic australian bait but...

The GOP is not trying to prevent people from getting healthcare, that would be ridiculous. They just say it shouldn't be socialized as in European countries.

then don't say there's anything wrong with that GOP logic

>flag
>strawman

how do i sage

SHALL

I'm not buying you a gun because you can't stop eating.

Wait, so we need to push for free guns or something?

Weak attempt at strawman. We dont pay for other peoples guns

The harsher take on it is a human is not worthy of easy access to anything just for being alive.

Not health care, not land, not happiness, etc.

Only the in the excess production of the modern age do so many people start thinking that they must be given something that they want.

But we suffer. But we hurt. But you would want it if you were in our position.

They may get it by some means legal or otherwise but they are not actually entitled to it.

2edgy4me

>false equivalence

Try again.

The GOP isn't trying to stop people from getting healthcare.

The Democrats, however, are trying to stop people from owning firearms.

No one has proposed taxing the general population in order to hand out free guns and ammo, which would be the proposal that would *actually* be analogous to 'free' health care.

But you're ozzie cunt, we know you can't logic.

You pay for your own guns.
You pay for your own health care.

Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp?

But here's a different angle to look at it from. I've been in the military for eight years now, and my experience with government-provided healthcare, like most soldiers, has been a very poor one. Any health care system run by the government is going to be shit and next to worthless. Plus, it wouldn't be free at all. We'd be taxed to hell to make it work.

Yes, people having guns makes America a lot safer.
Yes, socialized healthcare always destroys the country (mostly economically).

I don't see a problem here.

Your right. Government doesn't give away healthcare.
It makes hospitals give away healthcare
and steals hard working peoples money to pay
for the free healthcare the hospital doesn't want to give away.

>The GOP isn't trying to stop people from getting healthcare.

Really? the 850 attempts to repeal Obamacare did not happen, famalam?

You're not made to buy a firearm. I'm not made to pay taxes for other people's guns. However its different with Healthcare.

...

>obamacare is the only possible way to receive or distribute healthcare
good one

>Repealing Obamacare
Does not equate to
>Taking away Healthcare

It would actually enable greater competition and make healthcare cheaper and more efficient. Thus, easier acces to cheaper and better healthcare & no one is forced to pay for leeches.

But they had the opportunity to have 'more competition and cheaper more efficient healthcare' before Obamacare and squibbed it

That is why Obamacare exists, there was already a problemo before.

Stop being retarded.

Your country spends billions every year on routine neonatal circumcision. It is a billion-dollar industry

No wonder you cucks have no say in your own destiny.

and it turns out all you need to get it back is a pigs bladder, acid, and goldbond cream to get it back.
I think I'm going to have to pork some kike and kebab women.

how is repealing obamacare stopping people from getting healthcare?

Before obamacare, most people HAD fucking healthcare. If you had a fucking job, you got benefits.

This one was for you, cunt.

Yes yes yes.
The government is bad and makes problems and the solution to these problems is more government mémé.

Cunt.

not really a system is it? relying on charity of employers with no actual safety net to sprekken of.

You are an embarrassment.

Sup Forums, Ignore him. He's from Melbourne.

Ohhh the shame the shame.

What the fuck kind of comparison is that?

Only one of those two things is a "safety" issue.

Conservatives don't oppose universal healthcare because they think it will make us "unsafe." They oppose it because it's financially unfeasible in this country, and the government is usually incapable of properly managing such large-scale systems (as it lacks a competitive incentive to do so).

yea, that way people arent mooching off my tax dollars for free rides, while I work to keep those assholes in good health

Ok man.
One thing, what fucking charity? To whom?
To the poor?
Because you know what, fuck the poor.
As based pic related once said: "Any poor person in America isn't poor because they don't have money but because they suck with money."

>quoting a literal orthodox kike

Maaaate, goymany is going full cuck today.

You are an uncut NSW kid.

Its not just relying, there are professional unions, laws to protect workes, many of them, and the minimal vage

No one pays for my guns but me asshole. No one says you cant get medical care they just dont want to pay for yours.

>false equivalence
Negative vs positive rights
Upholding 2nd amendment rights is a limitation placed on the part of U.S. Government. Taking away firearms would be a forcible action.
There is a difference between being against universal healthcare and actively forcing healthcare away from people. In fact, the mandates and taxpayer money used to pay for it requires force on the government's part to uphold.

How did that work out for Nabisco workers? or Hostess? companies are evil, they must be reigned in with government legislation.

If you can afford it, you can buy a gun
If you can afford it, you can buy healthcare

I see no problems here
Unless they want to hand out free guns to everyone, then they can complain about lack of free healthcare

So what?
That's not an argument. That's literally an ad hominem cunt.
FYI, Orthodox Jews tend to be based conservatives.

Now kys.

On behalf of all Australians, I'd like to state that the OP has been officially labelled a wanker, incapable of logical thought. We apologise for the inconvenience. Please go back to flapping to Japanese cartoons.

Companies are not evil, this is natural for them to fuck people up AS MUCH as they are let to.That's why I am centrist and stand for quite decent scale of government regulation. But free healthcare for everyone, even people who don't work, taken from wallets of those who work their ass of is degenerate. As I said, you misstreat state and government.Socialism is as cancerous as libertarian non-regulation politics.

Death by doctors error is now the #2 cause of death in america, look it up. Guns are still NOWHERE NEAR IT. Even then, it is the criminals getting guns illegally and murdering people which is they will do regardless of law. A good man will not murder simply because he has a weapon or is arrogant. Yet, Doctors arrogance kills more trusting human souls than the billions of weapons that we have? Now there is a reality for ya.

Yes, my Johnson is in tact.

Just remember, those who pay the bills, make the rules.

Socialised medicine leads to high taxes on alcohol and cigarettes, and then even further. The Australian Medical Association (AMA) and related groups have recommended crazy shit as:

plain packaging for junk food.
ban boxing, mma
ban contact sports
pub lockouts
plain packaging alcohol
sugar tax
tax of fast food
etc
etc

Also consider, poor people are more likely to smoke, eat junk, drink, etc. So, a tax on such things is essentially a tax on the poor.

Because they pay your medical bills, they can justify controlling your life.

So, I will not waste any more of my time with you. If you are intellectually honest, Google press releases by the AMA to see how insanely deluded these people are. The academics are intelligent off course, but bereft of reality.

>fuck people up AS MUCH as they are let to
Free market incentives already give companies motivation for benevolence.

Then why guns aren't socialized as well?

Anyway, theres no point in free healthcare if people do not take care of their own health. It would be too expensive to the state.

If no one smoke, ate shit food or drink liquid sugar in excess, good part of the health problems would be inexistent and free healthcare could function.
But no, there are a lot of landwhales wanting free healthcare.

>everyone has a right to buy a gun
>everyone has a right to buy healthcare
or
>everyone will be provided a gun
>everyone will be provided healthcare
Otherwise it's morally inconsitent

No, you have a right to pay for your healthcare like i had to pay for my firearms.

Explain how, please.

...

It's midnight here. I think OP went to sleep. I might do the same.

Goodnight, Sup Forums and sage

A free market system is based off a voluntary exchange of goods and services (employment is just another form of this relationship). If one does not wish to trade with another based off ethical reasons, he/she can choose not to. If one wants to expand or maintain his/her consumer base, he/she should commit to ethical practice to appeal to a wider range of people.

This is a bit of an over simplification but you get the jist

The pie is only so big. If you want to share the pie with the homeless, jobless, niggers, spics, illegals, and so forth and still think you're piece wont be smaller, you are a cuck & a fucking moron. Premium healthcare (good insurance) should be reserved for those who work. Medicaid will take care of those lazy fucking bastards, but still allows them 3 dollar prescritions, free surgery, and adequate medical care (albiet not at ANY physician; who the fuck cares if they get a choice?). If you think quality of care wont go down, you are retarded; look at Canada or UK... 6-9 months for orthopedic care, you tear your meniscus? Sorry OP, you wait. Need cataract surgery? Sorry OP, you fucking wait. Open your eyes cuck.

Yes there is it's called the military and police. The trade off is that you trade an amount of your personal freedom and personal safety to get them. If health care was treated the same way fatties and chain smokers would be kicked out of the united health corps. OP's bullshit pic is a false dichotomy. Health care is a service and no one is denying that services availability. Having a gun reduces my likelihood of being injured in a confrontation. Legal gun owners are safer ganbangers generate the vast majority of gun violence. An armed public lowers the fatalities of mass shooting to an average of about three including the initial shooter. Fatties and degenerates consume vast quantities of resources we can not afford. Without a consequence to degeneracy they just keep being progressively more degenerate until it destroys them. They don't take into account the cost to others. No one is paying for me to exercise my rights. Land whales wouldn't even bat an eye taken the last order of pain meds for free with a child getting treated for cancer in the line behind them. That's the problem you are comparing people who are exercising a right at their own expense to a bunch of people who want an enormous amount of free shit at the expense of everyone else. This fat asshole lives at the expense of the British taxpayer because he is too fat to work. That is what universal healthcare produces.

Meh it will happen eventually.

End times soon.

sobering, but Trump will fix it

It's difficult to argue with Straya on this point. Somehow your nation holds top points for both healthcare service as well as healthcare pricing. Where other countries hold top marks for pricing but fail in quality of service, we hold top marks for service, but pay top dollar for it. Which lowers our overall ranking. I'd like to understand your model more. Can you give us the bullet points?

Have this

We have a mixed private/public system. Its not actually a socialist system. It works alright, but there are off course downsides.

For example, Adelaide is building a new hospital. Most expensive project in the history of the state. It has single-rooms for patients, which means that nurses working duty shifts cannot supervise multiple patients in the one room.

So, instead of 1 nurse supervising 6 patients. You have 1 nurse per patient, which is not feasible.

Some staff are refusing to work at the new hospital.

Most expensive fuck-up South Australia has seen for a while (although there have been many -- State Bank collapse , for example.) The construction unions are happy though.

When you say mixed public/private, how does that work?

That hospital was a poor design. Architects not talking to customers.

Funny thing is, if you weren't offered insurance through your work, it was cheaper to just buy a private plan before obamacare.

Doing it now you get a shit plan with shit coverage for about the same you could have gotten a deece plan. Also if you actually have a job you won't qualify for any subsidies. Plus everyone else's premiums shot up and are about to hike again.

So people that had insurance now pay more, people that didn't and have a job now are forced to buy it and pay way more than they otherwise would have and the people who don't work are usually on medicaid anyway so it didn't matter.

And the kicker. Those '30million young people without health insurance who need protection' we were sold the plan on? Are fucking exempt anyway. So the very reason we were told we needed it, isn't included in it.

I am not sure you understand how expensive it is....

architectureanddesign.com.au/news/new-royal-adelaide-hospital-named-third-most-expen

This is at a time when SA is in debt and has the highest unemployment rate in the nation.

Anyway.....

How it works:

1) Everybody has access to basic health cover. Its called Medicare. For surgeries you may have to be on a waiting list. Dental, etc is not covered.

We call doctors GPs. (General Practitioners.)

When you see a GP, the government makes a contribution. Some GPs don't charge extra, so they are essentially "free." These GPs are normally shit, though. The good doctors charge a fee on top of the government contribution, called a "gap"

Private health insurance covers extras such as surgery, dental, physio, ambulance cover, etc. It also gives you access to private hospitals.

If you dont have ambulance cover, the ambos charge you 1000 bucks.

At tax time, you get money back (Medicare rebate) if you have private health cover. Its like 400 bucks or something usually. If you dont have private health insurance, you get taxed more (since you presumably rely on public health)

So it's the same system as us....

Fuck I hate people sometimes.

Yeah, yours does sound similar.

I was reading an article though, the reason why US spends so much more on medical stuff is because you guys have higher quality stuff.

Then the reason why health standards are so low despite the huge amount of spending is because its the rich doing most of the spending and the poor bring the averages down.

Is there truth to this?

...

False analogy. You have the right to pay for healthcare just like you have the right to pay for a gun.

There is more to the story.

American medical costs are grossly inflated to offset the patients that can't or won't pay.

For example, I had an emergency room visit a few months ago.

They took a blood sample, gave me pepto-bimol (thought it might be an ulcer), and later a cat scan (turns out my pancreas was inflammed)

one test tube of blood tested
one shot of pepto
one lower torso scan

$11,000 bill, but after insurance, "only" $1800.

Honestly, can anyone defend $11,000 dollars for those services?

Multiple reasons:

>litigious society which causes malpractice insurance to be rolled over into the price
>litigious society which causes unnecessary expensive tests to be run
>litigious society which causes unnecessary specialist consults to be provided
>litigious society which causes brand new medical grade equipment to be used as one single use disposables
>deadbeats using the emergency room as a free clinic and skipping out on the bill
>lack of price transparency
>billing companies tripling the price to get the insurance company's "negotiated 1/3rd price"
>We subsidize the world in R&D
>We subsidize the world in pharma research
>We subsidize the world in new equipment procurement

>flag

The insurance cost of $1800 is the actual price. It's been "negotiated". The $11k is the price billing says it cost in order to allow the insurance company to provide the "negotiated" price. The hospital then writes off the remaining $9200 as a loss.

>insurance company gets full price from you
>hospital writes of 10 grand in losses

He's talking about the old way of healthcare

you got charity benefits from employers for tax reasons

It makes sense now.

>socialized
and where can i collect my "socialized" gun?
Australian shitposting reaching a new low

So you're a fucking bogan?

On top of all that, If they don't do everything exactly by the insurance companies obnoxious fucking requirements the insurance will take back all reimbursement.

So if some documentation isn't done how the insurance says it should be, it's a total loss.
