Really, I think the solution is honest competition, someone to come in and take the workers who are looking for a better job. I think them having to hire illegals would drop the quality of their service enough to run the business into the ground.

The restaurant I worked at was a small basically mom and pop place. Everyone in town knew about it and loved it. Our servers were paid fairly and the food wasn't over priced. Although it did go under when the owners started to be medical problems. The community tried to help but the bills outweighed the little help we got from the people that cared about the place. Those people that ran that restaurant were amazing people to work for. I'll admit I cried a little to see the place go. It's been turned into a bar since.
