What is the "smallest" crime you still believe should be punishable by death?

What is the "smallest" crime you still believe should be punishable by death?

For me, everything worse than, and including, personal theft totaling more than $99 should be met with an execution.

Dont cut yourself with that edge m8. I'm pretty much a national socialist, but I still think the death penalty is barbaric outside of wartime.

I'm not trying to be edgy, I'm interested in the opinions of others. I just think society would work better if the criminal element had to fear the death penalty for everything they do.

removal of a burka

That would discourage a few percent. The rest would just become extremely violent since nobody would want to be captured alive. The county would literally become hell on earth.

It's the oppost though. Civilized peoples used to punish people with death every time

Name one.

$100 is like nothing. So if someone steals your gameboy at a party you think they should be killed for that? Wow 4edgy5me

Death for theft is fucked up shit and you know that. You can try to argue for any punishment by law in two ways first one is

>repressive
you punish because a crime was done and the punishment is for atonement
if you kill someone because he stole you are in no way in any proportional means

>preventive
you punish so the one who did the crime wont do a crime again
if you kill someone so he wont steal again he sure as fuck wont steal again but now human life is worthless to you

its edgy shit m8

Imagine you borrow two video games from a friend, forget to give them back for a couple weeks, and that friend claims you stole them. Over your $99 mark. Do you see the problem?

Or an enemy of yours could plant a $100 item on your person and claim you stole it.

In real life it wouldnt be worth the persons time to falsify that, but in your scenario it could be a serious problem.

>I just think society would work better if the criminal element had to fear the death penalty for everything they do.

We already tried that in europe. Didn't work out. That and the enormous administrative work that would be needed since we in modern societies want to make sure someone sent to death is guilty; imagine someone being sentenced for stealing something worth more than 99 dollars, and they have to go through the full process that is the machine of law today. It will take years before they finally are executed, not talking about the enormous costs it would mean for the state and the people over someone stealing a fucking tv.

There is the risk of sending innocents to their death over something as trivial as stealing some cheap shit worth 100 dollars. It's not worth it.

Unless you are some shit tier comminity in a country in africa with no economy and complete dependence on handouts, this won't work.

As for the topic, I think particularly heinous crimes such as murder (under certain circumstances) should be punishable by death. Someone like gacy or a similar murderer should be put down. They can not be rehabilitated and will never be free anyway.

As for the rest of the prison system, I believe in a less extreme version of scandinavia; we invested in a plan that focuses on rehabilitation of criminals. It has shown to be efficient in a way that criminals are less likely to return to criminality.

Now, I'm not suggesting something like norway, but rather just a more humane treatment of prisoner with a chance to turn away from criminality.

>personal theft totaling more than $99 should be met with an execution
edgy.

I think homicide should be an automatic death sentence. The fact that in euro countries, you have literal assassins walking the streets after 14 years makes me sick.

The mafia would be all about setting people up for thefts and planting 100$ worth of drugs or stolen items on people, plus if they had a man on the inside of the state executioners office, they could frame someone and have them executed by the guy on the inside streamlining the process and the wrong guy would be dead before anyone could prove otherwise.

Something that may or may not have happened in China.
>emperor decrees that being late for taxes is the death penalty
>army goes over
>people all fight to the death and pay nothing because they'll die anyway
There's a reason we have specific punishments for crimes.
If you had death penalty for everything, everyone would fight to the death and kill to hide their crimes.

Fuck it, let's go full draconic. Kill anyone that steals. I mean, why steal if you might die for it.

Only crime punishable by death should be treason.

>if you kill niggers they win

>We already tried that in europe. Didn't work out.
so you are telling me that you have a comprehension of the history of criminal law of every european country from early middle ages to our day?

Murder, abduction, torture, actual rape, organized crime. I think that assault that results in significant injuries that cannot be fixed could also be enough, but it would depend.

Property damage or theft isn't severe enough to warrant death imo

I don't like the death penalty. If we were at war, then quiet a bit, but in peace, I think life with parol is good enough.

Kidnapping and everything "larger" should be punishable by death

hypothetically, is improving society overall not worth the life of one innocent person? who is truly innocent anyway?

All crimes.
However the executions are carried out extra judicially and at random by agents of the state.

Most crime will still be punished normally but occasionally some poor bastard will be made an example of.

Death penalty should only be used for Pedophiles, Terrorists, Murder (only during special circumstances), Treason, Genocide/war crimes, Assault rape should be punishable by death. And thats about it.

what about serial killers?

Am I the only one that'd be happy to see outright capital punished applied to most crimes?

It doesn't matter how big or how small the theft or crime is, if somebody carries such things out it means that there's basically no way they could ever actually contribute to society in any positive amount. They are pissing on my cereal.

However though, let's not forget that sometimes it's better to just have people go to work camps rather than of course sitting in jail. As a matter of fact, part of the reason why I favor the death penalty is because it is so inhuman to have people rot in jairs for decades on end; they're better off dead unless it's some kind of Breivik tier jail.

>what about serial killers?
No. It reduces the special status of the punishment.
