Why is this happening?

Can it be stopped?

How?

you can stop it by not trying to tax the living shit out of anyone who tries to get a job and pay their own way out

Why stop it?

My dad found my mother at age 19. They were both poor and he decided to throw out all of his belongings and clothes and moved into her tiny apartment.

Thus a 35 and continuing marriage formed.

This occurred when food and a movie ticket cost 5 dollars. the monthly bills for the average human are so stressing that it's better to wait until you are secured in your career or trade.

housing prices are too high, the only people with money are the boomers, gotta stick with them.

I'm a university STEM grad and my monthly income is negative due to having a chronic illness

Thanks taxes!

how is that even possible?

This. But it's not going to happen

We are returning back into the age of peasants and rich merchants. It won't matter if you are the best at what you do. If you aren't a military officer, a government worker, doctor or business *owner* then you will live and die at the same wealth of everyone else.

"They" make sure to tax everyone at an equilibrium so there aren't any division between workers. An engineer and a paramedic may work at different wages but will live at the same lifestyle, depending on their financial intelligence.

>Can it be stopped?

If you stop importing half the fucking Third world then maybe housing prices would normalize and young people could move out.

The fucking boomers are importing Third world scum so their property prices keeps rising so that their pensions are paid for.

Blame the economy.

And women.

>Can it be stopped?

Apprenticeships.

Not everyone can go to college and we've totally fucked our working class whites.

Inflation.

The average minimum wage when they met was also probably $2.00hr.

Bro this shit is going to get worse and worse until we collapse

You would have to bring rents down and long term relationship rates up.

>live in london
>rent prices so high my kidney is the deposit
>try to move out to cheaper areas
>rent prices combined with travel costs means it'll only cost me 4 fingers
gee whizz and don't even get me started on the £2000 per year car insurance for under 25 males in east london

This is how it is supposed to be. This is how it was until the Jews took over and convinced everyone that they should go into debt for life and separate themselves from their families.

why do you need a car in London?

Seems an extravagance if you struggle with rent

>Why is this happening?

Do you really need to ask?

College is expensive as fuck. Even if you can get loans for the tuition it doesn't cover living expenses. When am I supposed to work when I'm doing full time engineering, shit is time consuming.

i don't for that very reason

How's that?

All the guys I know in trades are making bank,

So?

Why stop? Living with family is a positive thing, and can help the couple save up for a house and keep said property generational

Where did we did we get the idea that family is bad?

Women
>can't risk marrying them so men are afraid to commit
>driving wages down so a man can no longer make a living wage alone
Kill affirmative action, kill no fault divorce, the problem will begin to sort itself out, I guarantee it.

40 years ago you could buy a nice house in a decent neighborhood for as much at it would cost to buy a mediocre car these days. The general cost of living was much lower.

Everything these days is taxed, overpopulation, corruption, greed, mismanagement have caused this. The way to fix it is to reverse it.

But but our pro-west liberals told me we should copy west heavens and have the everything and no hardships. Why do you lie!

By lowering housing prices or increasing wages. 250k for some piece of shit townhouse in the middle of nowhere? Yeah, no thanks.

I meant that there's not enough apprenticeships.

Like in my state good luck finding a HVAC job unless your dad has connections.

It was $4 actually. Or maybe I'm wrong, I forget.

But the system is in place. How do we remove it.

how will I move out if I only make €500 a month?
And I'm one of the lucky ones that have a job.
I'm almost 40 and I see no way out

Capitalism is great in a homogenous society that doesn't open its borders and import millions of subhumans driving wages down

My parents have given me so much and I have no reason to ever criticize them but they would always tell me, when they went to college, they paid their way through by working full time. Now, I worked during school but how in the hell could you possibly pay for an undergraduate degree with a job right out of high school?

I usually went through a quarter of the money I'd make over breaks on books alone.

>250k for some piece of shit townhouse in the middle of nowhere?
i'd love that shit
>try 310k for a one bedroom flat m8

Jesus it's really that bad in Portugal?

Wasn't this pretty common before the era after World War 2 though? The reason why people are doing this is because of how goddamn expensive housing is if you actually are working and trying to make it on your own.

I could move out and dump money fruitlessly into a rental every month, not be able to pay ahead on my loans, and live a very cheap and not fun life

Or

I continue what I'm doing now, pay $1000 ahead on my student loans each month and use my money to help my rents get their mortgage paid off for the house (which will be mine in a few years after they move into town and rent a townhouse and live comfortavly off of dad's pension), live, and throw the rest into savings.

Which one is more productive?

>LONDON

not even once

Take out a loan and begin to ask for extensions on the payment.

It's usury by Jewish definitions, but it's the hole we have. asking you to become a drone living in a house made of legos.

This is all because of our division between one another and focusing on Russia instead of Jews.

Granny and Grandpa bought their homes for $2000 and then bought all the other to rent to their cucked children (while recieving huge penisions) to the point where boomers own 80% of the property in the West and now they're selling them to globalist property tycoons so they go "travel" and go skiing while still receiving a huge pension. Meanwhile their own decendants are being crushed under debt.

Yeah but its like a 45 minute drive to the city if you want a real job. Research has shown that any commute over 30 minutes pretty much reduces your lifespan significantly and also very likely will lead to divorce.

>Why is this happening?

JEWS

they wrecked the economy and they promote

the beta male and neet lifestyle

Well OP, you see it is very simple

I'm 20 and live with my parents, I feel like a failure everyday of my life, but I don't know what to do?

This. The boomers literally ruined everything good about the West. Also if I had a gf I might be motivated to become more independent but I doubt that'll happen any time soon, and society today is in a sorry state. It's hard to motivate men to work hard for a society that shuns them.

Impossible, real estates are what make up for most of our banks' assets due to mortgages and the exploitation of the market.
It's literally impossible to touch their value without dumping your country's economy in the dumpster.

The pensions are the worst part.

To qualify for a recommended retirement income of 2/3rds current salary I'd need to stick over a third of my wage away.

Compared to the old schemes when 5% would do it

Cap was awesome before socialists came and ruined everything

just search on joogle and see for yourself, everyone makes €500 a month and we are the second European country most taxed

>haha like why don't you have a high paying job by 20 years old what do you mean you're not even finished with college and all the jobs you could get are barely no pay shit
>lol ur parents were living on their own your age but it's totally got nothing to do with the job market during their time it's all about you being a lazy millenial

Just fuck my generation up sempai

You've got a whole decade to sort your shit m8.
You're not a failure until you're 30.
Your potential lowers every day you go without a plan or an improvement to yourself though.
Bare minimum, you should read at least one chapter of nonfiction and get one good exercise in a day. If you have no direction at the moment, at least improve your base self.

I live with my mummy
I earn above minimum wage and i could move out, but if i did my quality of life wouldn't get better and i would have no money for myself

The real incentive to move out is to start a family, but i don't think im going to meet a girl like that

The UK housing market is fucked, unless there is a collapse, a war, or we see a MASSIVE house building project in this country, the logical thing in your twenties is to house share, or live at home until you have tens of thousands in the bank.

Can any more elightened Brits explain why building houses is so difficult to do? only 1% of the Uk is built on, and there is obvously a demand for it.

I just read this on /r/news

when did Sup Forums become raddit news front page?

I'm 23 and live with my parents. I also have a good job tho and am moving with my gf to an apartment in the city this summer.

Why is your market so fucked? Is it all the shitskins you imported?

not everyone here reads reddit stupid libtard

Well I don't if you've had it yet but the government has a new scheme where they're making employers come up with a pension plan for us. In the booklet they hand out they flat out admit in the future pensions won't be able to support you and you need to opt into the company pension scheme. You can opt out, but every year you're re-entered into it and have to opt out again.

The worst thing about pensions is that they're the whole reason we have this "fuck your kids, kick them out at 18" attitude. Before the boomers, families relied and supported each other. Now that the boomers have pensions worth stardust they are the first (and probably only) generation that get to have their entire lives being focused entirely on them and fucking their kids over. People born in the 70's and 80's are trying it on their kids too because they don't any different from their boomer parents, but they won't have that luxery. So be kind to your kids Sup Forums and don't think you can be a boomer "get the fuck out and pay for your own college" prick, because family is all you're gonna have.

yes but there is for this kind of thing fatass

The housing market is fucked, but capitalism and boomers have too much of a stake in maintaining the status quo.

Main problems:
Housing Shortage -> Increased demand -> higher prices

Over abundance of mortgages/credit -> inflated prices

Obstruction by existing groups to stop new development for personal or financial reasons -> circles back to housing shortage

We've created a monster that is built on nothing, but everyone has too much to lose by admitting it. Compounded with certain people actively making the problem worse, stopping new houses from being built, because it's profitable to do that and if you point this out, you get labeled a communist

From what I have been learning, reading different religious text. Its a Jewish belief that a man (or woman) when they turn of age (18) they MUST move away from their family and their home land to go into a strangers land and spread their seed in an attempt to expand their family wealth and power.

Understanding this now, I understand why other cultures see it as foolish to leave your parents and not stay and care for them as they age. I plan now to convince my mother to retire and we can live together as I care for her in her old age.

My mom gets 60k in alimony and won't even help my sister who is 19 with college. The federal government considers my sister dependent until the age of 24, and they deem that 60k is too much money. So she is screwed. If you are middle class you get screwed for college. And some trades like welding are 12k+, where is a kid with no credit, no cosigner supposed to come up with 12k.

Whats a good job to get when you've graduated highschool so I can live on my own and pay rent/bills.

Yes, we should just sit around and enjoy being slaves to the bankers.

We haven't been building enough homes for decades. Back in the late 1960s over 400,000 were built per year, now it's under 100,000 per year with a rapidly rising population

Honestly wouldn't mind commieblocks at this point, at least they were a good cheap solution.

inb4 your 12 million new countrymen

Why arent new houses being build?
and small cheap houses and aparetments?

well in Shitpostlandia at least, it's 90% the fault of a stupid and unfair housing market and government policy on the matter (or lack thereof).

my 92 year old grandfather bought his apartment with a loan from some family members. paid it back within a few years, and his tiny flat is now worth over 1 million.

my father sold his business to move to a country town, buy property and build a house on it.

that other 10% of the blame, though, is sort of interesting. my old man built his house on the cheap because all of his friends had trades. people would be up and down the coast on surfing trips, and when they wung by, they'd help build a wall or tile some floors. told me he got the roof put on in a single afternoon because he bought a keg of beer, a sack of sausages and a BBQ, then had a party for everyone once the roof was finished.

these days, all these fucking kids are at university and have no trades. they wouldn't be able to figure out how to install toilet, let alone fix a roof on a house.

Why is this wrong? renting is literally being a cuckhold, you pay another guy for having a property instead of saving that money to buy one yourself.

No, we should've forced banks to liquidate those assets a long fucking time ago, instead we let them ammass properties because the prices keep raising and it's a quick way to print imaginary money.

If companys build new houses, the housing bubble pops. And when the housing bubble pops, home owners get mad bad because they make £20,000 on their "investments" without artificial scarcity (the government has the ultimate say on whether you're allowed to build on land or not, and they cuck the home builders out of land by claiming its "green belt" or whatever"). Which means, all those property owners throw a shit fit and don't vote for you. Its never said, but pledging to help build more homes is political suicide.

I lived with my parents until 24, now I'm 26 with a job that pays 70k and living on my own.

I was just being a degenerate until now, playing music in a band. I feel a lot better to actually have independence. But looking back, I'm happy I spent that time with my parents and took hobo tier road trips around the country. I stressed out so much when I was younger but it wasn't a big deal at all

Don't worry too much, just try to find what you like, work on yourself mentally and physically

There is a hidden beauty in that though, it means demand is driving trade wages up, and is a stable solid job these days.

My dad is a plumber, he earns about 50k I think, for northern England that is very good.
When I go working with him, or speak to his trade mates, I get the impression they aren;t the brightest bunch. Someone clever who is always putting out a decent final product would do very well through word of moouth business.

>mfw PAfag
>mfw even if you buy a house and by some miracle get it fully paid off, you still have a school-property tax to pay monthly, and if you don't the state can literally kick out of your own house and take it
>mfw you never actually can own property in this state

>prices up
>taxes up
>wages down
>"young people struggling"
who'd have thought?

PAfag?

>I'm 23 and I still live with my parents.

I even have a job but I just don't think I can live with meager meals and overbearing rent. I don't feel like a man, but at least I'm not a wage slave.

Cannot wait until the baby boomers are dead

Pennsylvanian

you see, though, the people complaining about the housing market are almost entirely of the unskilled university student variety.

OP asks about this record number, and the answer is students and wageslave kids with no prospects. i'm not exactly one to talk, but the winners in this are the ones who aren't complaining, sticking their heads down and getting their foot in the houseing market door early.

over here, they're been predicting a bubble burst for decades upon decades, and every time there's a slight slump, everyone shrieks "it's popping!", only for them to be entirely wrong, fall silent for another 4 years, then scream "it's popping!" again when the time is ripe.

our idiotic immigration policy is going to pile up ontop of this, and the winners (barring, of course, the already wealthy) are going to be the tradies who got in early, while we end up with a generation of overqualified liberal idiots.

sucks my man, they can kick you out of your house?

why?

Then, to make matters worse, there is also a sizable group of homeowners who just dont want new stuff built because it would be built near them.

Like the "bubble" bursting is going to be a good thing, we're all going the way of the 29s america when that happens.

House prices and the cost of living, duh.

Heh heh heh

That's a point. Housing demand is pointlessly and unnaturally high.

Because Philadelphia and Pittsburgh keep electing democrat.

We have a school-property tax. Meaning we pay for our already horrible education system mostly by taxing home owners. Its payable, but there are plenty of horror stories of little old ladies whose husbands died, they couldn't pay it, and they got kicked out by the state. Plus it just sucks knowing that you'll never truly own the house you're buying.

Pretty common in Sweden. No jobs, and even fewer apartments. A shitty one room apartment gets on average 500 applicants where I live.

Almost every town has a property tax and if you stop paying those taxes they take your house.

27, graduated and got a job as a mortgage broker. Finally able to buy a nice house alone.

Callcenter or parcel services is probably your best bet.

Minimum wage hasn't kept pace with inflation. That, and the return on money in a savings account won't even keep pace with inflation. I personally blame my fellow citizens, for allowing such an obvious exploitation of themselves. Morons deserve poverty and strife if they keep themselves willfully ignorant.

More grandkids are raised and live with their grandparents while chad and lisa shoot dope at tyrones house.

Ummm. No they dont. Eveiction from homes is about a 2 1/2 year process now. The gears turn slowly to have a bank take your home.

That would be extremely shit for ten years, but isn't it necessary at some point to restore a natural balance? I'd rather deal with that whilst young, not slaving away 40 years for a mortgage only for the system to finally crash 30 years from now and be lose everything you have earnt.

Less than 5% of the working population earns min wage. Even fewer are trying to support themselves.

Take that shit back too reddit

...

Also their are many cases of of home owners simply burning the home to the ground prior to giveing their home away to the bank or a scumy auction leech.
