According to my friends in MB, some residents don't really liked the harley davidson week either- but they tolerated it for the tourism. The real issue is that black bike week happens on memorial day when myrtle beach already has a shit ton of people coming for the long weekend. So it's actually hurting the already existing tourism.

It depends on what part. A lot of it is generic touristy shit hole but there are some pretty nice parts. Honestly I'd recommend going to Charleston over MB, lots of history and beautiful sights to see
