Is the guy who posted the python script still here? I made a couple of bourne shell scripts which I think work better.

I don't think so. Let's see them

What was the script for?

nah man we all have one or two exceptions.

It's not a fetish of yours, but sometimes you see one particular character that's SO FUCKING HOT you can't help it.

Just fap away and don't feel bad.

The gays often call it a "singular same sex attraction" and I'm inclined to believe it.

It takes your /s/fur as input and doubles it

...

Whaaaa?

I still don't understand how it works but it's legit

His goal was to post his images in random order. He did this by renaming his images with 1_ 2_ 3_ et cetera at the front of their name. He wants them shuffled too, so he goes through all images before reshuffling.
I thought
>``Is it possible to get random images without renaming them?''
Yes.
First run randle.sh by typing ./randle.sh
bpaste.net/show/5092f01baf93
This generates listle.txt, which contains a randomised list of your files, and a number to keep track of where you are in the list.
To automatically get a filename, and increment to the next filename, use readle.sh by doing ./readle.sh
bpaste.net/show/e75cad27dd92
You'll get a single filename as output.

I don't even understand what you meant by that

I've already written an app for that kinda stuff. I mostly post from booru tag searches nowadays though

I just piss people off by posting from the top of my folder.

What really need is something that temporarily resizes pictures as it's being posted.

got a boner yet ?

Do share your app.
I assume you mean to make images be less than 2 MB, right?

Yeah, I want something that will resize large images to fit in the size limit without having to make duplicate files on my HDD

I'm going to sleep, goodnight furfriends.

I was considering doing something similar. I have too many >2mb files. It'd be pretty easy to make something that'd create a temporary Jpeg copy to post here.

legit question: do you furries like MLP?

Yes.
I can think of no other reason to resize.
It would be nice if the 4chin servers did it for you.

Night.

No. It's poorly written and not suitable for people my age.

They are just small colorful mares from popular TV shows.
We like mares.

...

Only the cancer ones.

It's pretty basic right now and has a few bugs. Windows only. If you want to test it, gimmie a way to give it to you.
Sleep well, delysid

I watched the first three years of the show, but after that the writing went to shit. Haven't watched it in years.

>homebrew /s/fur software

I like you

Did Mer user mean the show?
I don't have TV, and probably no interest in the show.
I just like mare porn.

Hehe, my collection got a bit out of hand and I was forced to make some kind of app.

Notice there being 443 pages of images. At 50 images per page, that's a decent amount

I can't test it, since I'm not on Windows, as you could guess by my scripts. I'd still be interested in reading your program.

It's written in C#. Isn't there some free C# interpreter called mono or something that may work? Either that or there's always the ability to test inside a VM.

LESS TALK MORE FUR!

Conversation is good, user

True, mono does exist. Well, you have my email address. It's probably small enough to be sent that way.
I'll try to read it even though I don't know C#, just for funsies.

Yeah, but you could throw in a token pic once in a while, too.

It's a Visual Studio project, so you may need it to understand what's going on in there. Project should be < 1MB though. It's the first decent sized app I wrote in that language so it could be a little messy.

I meant the pornography, really.

I've got more MLP than Li Li.

I never thought I'd get turned on by this shit, but god dammit it happened one day and I couldn't fight it.

Twilight's mom is without a doubt the hottest one that fans have sexualized, jesus christ.

I think it's because I have a thing for milfs lately

It's nothing more than text files, right?

...

More gifs please. I want to start a folder.

...

More than that, might be a bit confusing because I used the GUI designer in VS which creates a bunch of auto generated stuff
>I never thought I'd get turned on by this shit, but god dammit it happened one day and I couldn't fight it.
You're here forever now

>More than that, might be a bit confusing because I used the GUI designer in VS which creates a bunch of auto generated stuff
Ahh, I see.

...

...

...

Welp the project files are riddled with personal info. Well I tried. Maybe something I can have a look at once get back into developing it after this semesters finals are over.

>personal info
How the heck did that happen?

VS, and me leaving myself notes of things to do in the code files

It was always intended as a personal project, so I didn't bother to keep that stuff out of there

>VS
Sounds dumb of VS to do. What sort of personal info did it add?
>notes
The notes had personal info too? I'm so confused, wah!
But I hope you finish up with stuff and have time to play with it more!

Things like my full name and such. VS does that because it adds things like organisation/copyright info into the project output. Because I use VS as a student, it just adds in my own info instead.

I see.
>full name
Ouch! I never give a computer my real name.

Can't get away with doing that, at least as a student.

I see. What's the difference between the freeware VS and your VS? I know there's a freeware version now.

VS is hands-down the best. I've tried other alternatives, none of them match VS

That wasn't my question at all. Microsoft releases a freeware VS. How does it differ from the student edition you have?

Don't know, nor really care. I get the enterprise version of VS free as a student, which is pretty comfy.

...

Cute

I see.

I've tried one of the Jetbrains IDEs for C# and it's not too bad, but don't have a GUI builder. Perhaps I should learn how to do that in code like I did with Java.

>don't have a GUI builder
I know Netbeans has a GUI builder, for Java. Netbeans platform or something. But I've never used the builder, just Netbeans itself, and years ago. I haven't used any IDE recently, for anything serious, now that I think of it. I installed the VS Code thing for a day, poked around with it. Was amused to see it supported batch scripts as a language. That's useful, actually.
>Perhaps I should learn how to do that in code like I did with Java
Anything works, as long as it's readable both for humans and computers. Human-readable code is important in my opinion. I take pride in the fact that the HTML to my websites is more human-readable than the autogenerated stuff most sites use these days.

I actually think I'd prefer writing the Swing GUI for Java in code. Lots of flexibility compared to what I've been doing in C# with the GUI builder

>I take pride in the fact that the HTML to my websites is more human-readable than the autogenerated stuff most sites use these days.
Webdev code should ideally be optimised for the smallest possible filesize considering it isn't compiled and needs to be transmitted over the internet.
There are a few apps out there which can do the optimising for you.

>Lots of flexibility compared to what I've been doing in C# with the GUI builder
Yeah, that's common with writing things yourself.
>the smallest possible filesize
I don't use spaces for indentation, so the only way to optimise it any more would be to eliminate all the newlines. But then it'd be unreadable. HTML was originally designed to be something you can read with your eyes, not just with a browser. And since it's just a text file, any website I write will always be smaller than any image we're uploading here. Mere kilobytes. I think my largest page is 7.something KB.

...

Every bit of SEO helps. I optimise my images too using FileOptimizer. It'd be interesting to investigate using some of the open source image formats that have better compression than PNG/JPEG like FLIF does. There's even a JS decoder for FLIF so you shouldn't even need native browser support.

Bro give me the source, I'm about to bust a nut

>SEO
SEO?
>It'd be interesting to investigate using some of the open source image formats that have better compression than PNG/JPEG like FLIF does
True.
>even a JS decoder for FLIF
Ah, none of my sites utilise JS. Haven't had a need yet.
