I'm from Madrid and I think people eat a lot more fish in Spain even in places far from the coast, than here next to the sea
Plus here it's always the same, herring, salmon and cod

Because access to Mediterranean which actually has good seafood and more accessible seafood. Marine life in Northern Europe tends to disgusting or deep sea so hard to catch. I think in Iceland they eat fermented Greenland Shark (It's flesh is toxic because of bacteria so is fermented).

its pretty cheap outside of the christmas season. thats when prices really skyrocket from high demand
the prawns are 10€/kg, galician mussels 8€/kg, tiger mussel 6€/kg.... but i dont know how prices vary from place to place
